For Anxiety "I've been taking 1mg of Klonopin daily for 3.5 years, after the sudden death of my father. At the time, my anxiety was a 10 and Klonopin allowed me to continue working and raising my 4 kids. I consider Klonopin an absolute miracle drug that probably saved my life. My psychiatrist, and 2 other consulted doctors, don't express the least amount of concern about using 1 mg of Klonopin daily perhaps indefinitely. However, I went 42 years without taking a prescription drug and it really is my hope to not need Klonopin for much longer. The notion that Benzos should not be taken beyond 4 weeks is purely irrational. Find a good doctor!!!"

For Panic Disorder "Approximately twenty years ago, I was taken by ambulance twice and once by car to ER where they gave me something that calmed me. It was similar to a seizure. Nothing ever triggered these attacks. It just came upon me very fast. I was enjoying my career and life; I'm very social. My doctor finally sent me to a Psychologist and he diagnosed me with panic attacks. There was a name for this!! I was prescribed something similar to Klonopin and when Klonopin came on the market, he prescribed 0.5mg twice a day. I have had no adverse side effects, only positive. I have never had another panic attack and do not plan to ever stop taking Klonopin. I am the same person I was and live life to the fullest in a new phase of 'early retirement'!!"

For Panic Disorder "This drug saved my life. After suffering from severe mood swings and anxiety my whole life, this drug has made me feel normal again. I take 1 mg twice a day. It has allowed me to function in society and hold down a great job. I’ve been taking it for about a year now and couldn’t be happier. I had been on Xanax previously and had constantly been needing higher and higher doses until it just didn’t work anymore and my anxiety sky rocketed. I can’t recommend this higher to anyone with anxiety"

For Anxiety "I first tried Buspar for my generalized anxiety disorder, and after several weeks, gave up on it. I decided to work with my psychiatrist instead of my GP. He agreed to let me try Klonopin. Wow. I only take 1 mg a day but I feel 90% recovered to my old self. I am more social again, working on my novel, doing well at work, handling stress well, having a lot more fun and joy. I've been on it for 3.5 weeks and hopefully can stay on it permanently. I know one needs to be cautious with it."

For Panic Disorder "46 years old and suffered from untreated anxiety since I was 12. Last December had my first panic attack and everything went to hell after that. Doc put me on 0.05 mg Klonopin 1 x a day which I split up and take one half in the morning and half before bed. Also take 10 mg Celexa as well, which seems to work well together with the Klonopin. Needless to say the last week since I've started these I've been better, more motivated and not so anxious, not to mention sleeping all the way through the night. People say don't take Klonopin daily or watch out for withdrawal from long term use? Why stop using it if it has been working for years? Think about what your life was like before using it..cannot have been pleasant. It helps some people live better."

For Panic Disorder "I was first prescribed Ativan for panic attacks and was to take it as needed . It made me extremely depressed and suicidal and I couldn't focus . So I switched to Klonopin and in my experience it's so much better. I don't feel 'drugged up' when I'm on it . I just feel calm and have a good sense of wellbeing. Also helps with social anxiety , I'm not constantly worrying what people are thinking of me ."

For Panic Disorder "This medication has helped me take control of my life again. I’m 21 years old and used to have a brain tumor when I was younger. I was treated for my anxiety first with Lexapro but it gave me a 30 minute seizure. It turns out I have temporal lobe epilepsy due to the tumor I had, which is now accompanied by extreme panic attacks. The seizures themselves give me a rising feeling in my stomach like on a roller coaster and then my muscles and diaphragm tighten and I can barely breathe, like I got the wind knocked out of me. This then sends me into a panic attack where I start hyperventilating because I cannot get enough air. Let’s just say this medicine has restored my life. I take 2 mg before bed every night and 90 percent of the time I am seizure and panic free. I do not get any side effects with this medicine. It helped my finally make the deans list again at school since I can function properly now. I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me."

For Anxiety "Recently I had a rough bout with anxiety. From out of nowhere I just lost faith in myself due to some life circumstances and an overload of work. I was losing sleep and spiraling downward at an amazing rate. I decided to talk to my doctor who prescribed Klonopin. With the first dose I felt immediate relief and to avoid dependency I only took 0.25 mg at night until I was started on an SSRI. My doctor favored the SSRI approach as better in the long run. After three months on Klonopin every day, and after the SSRI kicked in, I stepped off the Klonopin without any withdrawals like you read about on the internet. I think the key is to take the lowest dose you can or only as prescribed. The medicine worked wonders for me!"

For Anxiety "I love Klonopin. When I was going through an extremely hard custody case with my ex husband, my doctor prescribed the Klonopin. She scheduled it up to 3 times a day. I used it too. It helped me face my fears and stand up for myself for once. Once that was over she scheduled it on 1.0mg as needed up to.3 time's a day. I still have the script. I do use the Klonopin only when I'm in a situation that I need help relaxing. I know I need it at those times. When I take it, I would feel great. If I didn't need it but thought I did, all it would do is make me tired. It's been 3 years of PRN Klonopin & I know when I need it and when I don't. For those who feel this could be abused, my response is if the person really needs it, Misuse wouldn't happen"

For Anxiety "I was prescribed Klonopin to get me through anxiety exarcebated by starting on Lexapro. It is a benzo and therefore highly addictive so I was very careful about taking it as little as possible. I found it to be very effective and one tablet would actually keep me calm for around 36 hours ( it has a very long half life ). I did not feel side effects and didn't feel drunk or disoriented. Was effective for me but needs to be used with care. "

For Anxiety "I started off taking klonopin after developing severe panic attacks 20 yrs ago. It was a life saver for me! I took it for 15 years and weaned myself off of it with no problems. I am back on it now after 5 yrs of not taking it due to recent life events that started the anxiety back up. I take 1 MG tablets up to twice a day. I've never had any of the horrifying withdrawals that other people complain of. Klonopin definitely works for me."

For Anxiety "I had been on Zoloft for about a year or so which helped manage my anxiety, but didn't help when it came to a very stressful day or event that led to side effects like racing heart, labored breathing, sweating, stomach ulcers, etc. I needed something that I could take immediately to stave an anxiety attack off. My doctor prescribed Klonopin and I'm so grateful for it. For me, it doesn't make me tired, lethargic, or dull me down. I was afraid of a medication that would just sedate me. This drug takes the edge off and makes me feel good enough to continue with my day. I haven't had any side effects."

For Anxiety "I'm writing this in case anyone else is in my position of being afraid of takings this out of the fear of it making you high, since so many people have voiced strong opposing opinions about Klonopin. I was in the same exact position of being afraid of taking it, even though those around me (which is part of something I have to learn..accepting that people know what they're talking about when it comes to anxiety) were telling me that nothing would happen. It took me a spur of the moment gather of courage to take Klonopin..and now I can say that *when needed*, I love Klonopin. It melts away anxiety and leaves a dent in depersonalization (if you struggle) and allows you to function and level off for a few days afterwards."

And, you can take it long term with no side effects. I take 2 to 3 1mg tablets daily. Some people need help with daily living. Mental helps the physical!"

For Panic Disorder "Klonopin saved my life. It’s a shame because some people like myself who have severe anxiety and panic attacks may need a benzo. Doctors force SSRIs down everyone’s throat when we know no antidepressant is stopping a bad panic attack. I don't really care if I am on it the rest of my life. That's mine and my doctor's opinion on it. I'd much rather live a life worth living than suffer for the rest of my life in the dark world I was in before medicine. It is addicting, can be abused, and a tolerance will be met if you take them every day. I have epilepsy so my neurologist wants me on it too. Only advice I can offer is to try and take them as needed if you can. It will work a lot better when you don't take it every day. Best of luck! Don't ever give up."

For Anxiety "I have been on kolonopin for almost a year now & it has been an absolute life saver! I had horrible panic attacks, scared to drive, couldn't even go shopping without getting dizzy and anxious. Anxiety has taken over my life, the panic attacks are so scary I thought I was going to die. I'm very greatful to have this medicine. I've heard of problems with dependency but I don't know what I'd do without it, I'm also on zoloft & I feel like I have my life back!"

For Anxiety "Best medication personally for anxiety and panic attacks. I have been taking 3-6mgs a day since I was 16 and compared to all the other benzodiazepines it has been the safest for long term use. I have tried Ativan, Xanax, and Valium also and did not have good experiences due to many side effects and they only worked for a couple weeks for me. Personally all medications have withdrawal so why not choose the best medication for yourself. SSRI's are just as hard to come off of as Benzos because of withdrawals, but most doctors don't tell you that."

For Panic Disorder "I took Klonopin from 2011-2016. I only stopped it because my doctor at that time thought I should try something non-benzo related for my chronic anxiety. I’ve tried Gabapentin, numerous antidepressants, and eventually Ativan without much relief. It’s been just a few weeks since Klonopin has been back into my life, and I am no longer pulling out my hair or feeling heart palpitations in front of large crowds, and I’m even STARTING conversations with strangers. No more panic attacks at all!! Something I haven’t done in years!! I understand that meds like Klonopin should be used as a last resort because of how addictive they can be, but I feel like Klonopin has saved my life and saved my job. So happy to have you back in my life."

For Panic Disorder "Story summarized: Believe the horror stories. They are true. I started taking it as a 30 day supply for anxiety and insomnia, it helped me so much I wanted more after the 30 days. Doctor wouldn’t do it, so I moved on. Didn’t take it for months back to the old sleepless, anxious, angry person. Got the script, it helps every single day of my life. Newsflash. Good luck stopping. Same withdrawal as heroin. I will just take the pill and feel good and normal. 8 stars because it did pull me out of death spiral but lost 2 because nobody on earth deserves to take this nasty ass pill. Confusing yup. It does help with a lot of different things.... but good luck leaving!! :/"

For Panic Disorder "In my opinion this medicine is great. It feels good to be able to go outdoors with confidence. No more anxiety dizziness, I can say hello to a nice girl at a coffee shop or even read a book without thinking everyone is looking and laughing at me. This medicine worked for me. I now go to the gym and have friends, and have a lively weekly routine. I slowly want to see if I can handle life without them but I always keep them around just in case I have an attack. Good luck guys."

For Anxiety "This "medicine" ruined my life. I took it just as the doctor prescribed Clonazepam.5mg every night before bed. He said I would probably need them for the rest of my life. He failed to tell me these are very powerful TRANQUILIZERS (all benzo are). We are only supposed to take these for no more than 2 weeks!! It worked well for many years until one day it quit working. Tolerance Withdrawal, Sick 24/7, med no longer works, sheer panic. Suffering all since that day and it's been one year off now. These meds also cause depression over the years. I had a great life until this med caused me to lose everything!!! Nightmare!!! Please, don't walk, run from this poison!!"

For Anxiety "I began getting severe panic attacks in the middle of the night every night. Not just regular sleep pattern problems. But waking up wanting to be dead. This went on for a couple years until I could not bare it anymore. My doctor prescribed me Klonopin and it has done the trick. Previous to Klonopin I tried Ambien, Ambien XL, and Seroquel. I personally think it's a good idea to follow your doctors instructions and start with the more mild medicine. But to those who warn of the withdrawal symptoms of Klonopin. I have to say that opinion does not apply to all. Not wanting to die in the middle of the night every night for 2 years is such a benefit to me that I will risk the withdrawal symptoms that may come with stopping later down the road."

For Insomnia "Klonopin is the only medication that works for my insomnia. I've been on pretty much every medicine for insomnia at one point or another. I have OCD and the reason I can't sleep is because the obsessive thoughts won't stop ruminating in my head. When I take Klonopin, the thoughts are no longer intrusive."
