Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: This drug got me off alcohol and ALL the withdrawal symptoms in 3 days. I never would have expected such quick results. If you need help with the tremors, anxiety, vomiting and irritability, please ask your doctor for a prescription. I was taking 10mg 3x per day and it was a miracle.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: Unfortunately I am a chronic relapser and have had many alcohol-withdrawal related seizures in the past. Every time I have gone to the hospital they have given me Librium and it absolutely took away all my withdrawal symptoms. No more sweating, shaking, or vomiting. I have asked several doctors in the past to prescribe Librium to me but they have all said that it should be administered at a hospital where I could be monitored. This time around however the hospital sent me home after 7 hrs and gave me a script for 6-25mg. I only took 5 and experienced no withdrawal symptoms what-so-ever and I was a liter of vodka/day drinker. Highly recommend Librium.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: I was into withdrawal one and a half days when I started shaking and feeling anxious. Having already had several seizures due to alcohol I went to my GP who prescribed Librium. Symptoms almost stopped completely after 1 day and after that no symptoms at all. Don't try to stop yourself it's dangerous and could cost you your life.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Anxiety: Have been through Klonopin, Xanax, Valium. I didn't care for the high feeling from any of these drugs. Librium has a way of mellowing me out without behaving differently. Great job of relieving my anxiety.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: My uncle was drinking for over 35 years and after detoxing once before he was doing considerably well. Things took a down hill turn for him and it took us a while to get him the right kind of help. Librium is the way to go. He went from convulsions, shakes, hallucinations - to a few minor discomforts. By now even those are gone. Good bless everyone one of you looking for a way out. It is out there but you must believe in yourself 100%.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: I have serious issues with relapse. Do six months to a year then break out. Have a lovely doctor who gave me Librium and it helps. Makes me dopey but the sweating, the shakes, the empty wretching all abated. Really need to do it this time. I'm so tired of relapsing.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide): Librium was prescribed to me when I came in for help with opiate withdrawal. The drug calmed me down and helped with some of the withdrawal symptoms though I'm not sure how because the chemical makeup of librium and other drugs used to aid in opiate withdrawal are completely different. Whatever happened it helped. Thanks doctor.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Anxiety: This drug did very little for me. My Doctor prescribed it as an alternative to Xanax until a full clinical work up could be done. As a moderate to heavy drinker, he did not advise me that this is used to pull people from the disease. I don't feel like I have issues with alcoholism but it really messed me up when mixing the two. Felt stoned or comatosed. Taking the drug sober did almost nothing anyway except when I take 2 or 3 at a time and still it does not release the anxiety I have.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Anxiety: My spouse drove me to the ER after I had a major panic attack. I was given 50mg of Librium and under 1/2 hour I became relieved from the attack. After 1 to 2 hours I had felt much more secure.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: Librium was great for my alcohol detox. While it didn't completely get rid of my shakes it did alleviate the nastier symptoms of my withdrawl. There was no nausea, minimal anxiety etc. Helps immensely with alcohol detox.

Librium (chlordiazepoxide): I was put on this while during my stay at an inpatient rehab center for opiate/benzo addiction. At first, it made me hullucinate (sp?) and walk into walls (50mg). This was for detox. Then, they slowly tapered me so there were no side effects. I am 40 days sober, but still feel anxious. I can't take any mind altering drugs, so wouldn't be a good idea to go back on it. I think under close doctor supervision, it's definitely worth it, even though I was walking into walls. :)
Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Light Sedation: I am in recovery from Vodka and I was having trouble sleeping and my doctor suggested that I skip the noon dosage and take 2 of them at night and it has helped me stay asleep at night without my mind "running" at night.
Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: When I fell off the wagon I was dreading another trip to the ER when I sobered up. I saw my doctor and he prescribed this and it helped immensely. I have really bad panic attacks and my blood pressure skyrockets along with nausea, shakes, sweats, etc. This medicine helped get me off booze twice. Recommended.
Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: I was a very heavy drinker for 7 years. It got to the point to where I was drinking 18-24 beers a night. I would drink right after I would wake up because I'd be shaking. Decided I needed to stop. Went to my doctor and he gave me Librium. He told me I can take up to 300mg a day. I took 125mg each day for 3 days. This medicine worked wonders. I had virtually no withdrawal whatsoever during the 3 days. I recommend this to anyone that wants to quit drinking without going to a detox center.
Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Anxiety: I've tried several medications for moderate anxiety and panic attacks. Librium has worked the most reliably. Xanax and Ativan work quickly but are too short acting. Klonopin didn't do much for me. Librium starts to take effect within about a half hour, makes me calm (not high) and keeps me calm for hours.
Librium (chlordiazepoxide) for Alcohol Withdrawal: Librium is great. I was going through suicidal withdrawal. Librium stopped that within 3 hours and it lasts a long time.
