For Skin and Structure Infection "I had surgeon- caused osteomylitis which did not respond to oral cipro. After an 8- week iv regimen of cefepime the bugs seem to be gone. No side effects, but I ate tons of yogurt hoping to replace my gut bacteria as fast as the drug killed them. It seems to have worked."

For Intraabdominal Infection "I was hospitalised for Multi Drug Resistant Typhoid Fever and given Cefepime by IV. Oral antibiotics no longer work for me, nor do the 3rd generation cephalosporins, so I am grateful there is another option. Difficult to identify any drug side effects, as nausea and headaches are common with typhoid; however, the drug was effective in clearing the infection."

For Skin and Structure Infection "I have been fighting pseudomonas infection in my knee over 7 years, the infection laid dormant in my body then came back. After two surgeries, one to remove hardware, and then another to clean my knee, I was placed on this medicine, twice a day by iv. After 3 weeks being on the medicine got emergency call from my Dr who stated, I needed white blood count right away, my labs from day before showed my white blood count at 1.8( which should be 4.5) and platlet at 99 ( should be 150), I had stat labs and white blood count dropped to 0.83, so due to medicine my bone marrow was shutting down. This is only 1 percent chance it can happen. Of course had to stop that iv medicine. Other then that, this was very easy to use by IV, and felt fine"

For Skin and Structure Infection "If patient has prior brain trauma or concussions then best to consider alt. to Cefepime antibiotics or ‘managing’ dose: 14 days then reduce; did work for me yet a 4 week x4/day I.V. Implementation. antibiotic has side effects: Headaches + FELT LIKE MY BRAIN was ERASED afterwards! Treatment caused concussion-like serious memory problems. I had a severe pseudomonas a infection that my neurosurgeon actually refused to dispense antibiotics for over 45 days, he was negligent; I was placed on depression meds as a result of side-effects, imho: excessive dose implementation, be sure you insist on full follow-up labs 14 days after ALL meds stop. Lots of negative effects. Verify infectious bacteria eliminated: INSIST on 2nd round of follow-up labs 14-21 days AFTER ALL antibiotics have ceased, to verify Pseudomonas a. no longer has ANY presence... due to BIO-FILM! it has a large genome. Is only “hard to treat” due to lack of treatment, insist on continuous 4 weeks!"

For Urinary Tract Infection "I was hospitalized on 12-24-2020 after receiving a call from my provider that I had positive blood cultures related to a UTI. I spent three and a half days receiving cefepime and, so far, I am pleased with the outcome. Prior to my hospitalization, I had fever, chills, sweats, and urgency. The only side effect I (maybe) had was a headache. However, I began to have a headache on the 23rd so I'm not sure if my headache was a continued process vs. the result of being on cefepime."
