For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Tip for taking Pylera: Make sure you eat a good amount of food before taking this medication. Also take it with a lot of water, at least 8oz. I did this and my nausea was not nearly as bad as when I didn’t. It did make me poop a lot and it was black so just be aware that it’s normal with this medication. I did get tired about 5 days into it but it was nothing I couldn’t handle for a few days. I’m sure everyone is different but hopefully this helps."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "This is day 10 for me and I made it. Based on bad reviews I was refusing to take this medication for nearly a month, I was terrified to start taking them. But my doctor said I have to take them. Well the only side effect I had was dark stools and that's it. No dizziness, no stomach pains, no black tongue, no dark urine a bit of tiredness in the evenings but nothing dramatic. I was strict with the times of taking them. 6 30am 11 30am 17 00pm 21 30pm. Always with meals. Well rice. pasta. bread. avocado. bananas. egg. Any other fruits. No sauces at all. 3 to 4 L of water every day. I believe food and water made the difference on not having side effects."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "This is my 8th day of taking Plyera. I feel poisoned. These drugs are poison. My chest is burning up from acid. I can feel acid in my nose as well. I am pretty much confined to my couch or bed. 2 more days to go. I am concerned that this medicine is damaging my esophagaus from severe acid reflux. Doc was insistent on curing this even if I did not have any ulcers. I felt so much better before this treatment. Please prepare plastic spoons and bowls. You won't have the energy to wash anything. Also prepare 10 day worth of food you can eat using microwave. You won't be driving anywhere either. Not all will experience terrible side effects (I had them all) but for sure they are real for me."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I'm just finishing my 10 day protocol and I am hoping that I never, ever have to take this poison again. Yes... I felt like I was being poisoned with some toxic combo pill-pack. It was horrible. I just knew the "ends justified the means" so I pushed through. The side effects I experienced were extreme fatigue, headaches/migraines, dark stools, phlegm, blurry vision, body aches, heart palpitations with cough (which I had to got o ER for because I almost passed out), neck pain, weird taste in mouth, loss of appetite, nausea, and stomach cramping. It's a good thing I don't work or else I probably would've been fired. I was literally in bed almost the entire time. So, no... uh uhh... not taking this stuff again."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I have to be honest, I took this medication almost one year, I am still feeling bad because the medication I think is made with salts, my stomach is still burning as a result of this medicine. I wouldn't recommend this medication for people to use, my stomach lining is burning, acid reflux is what I am still dealing with till this moment. If someone can help me treat my problem as a result of this medicine I will be very happy."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I’ve been on pylera for 6 days now and when I started I was so scared bc of the reviews but I’m so glad I did it anyway. I’m a very sensitive person when it comes to medicines and new things but I surprisingly had little to no side effects. I did have loose stools but that’s about it.. the only real struggle is the fact you gotta take 14 pills a day . ( pylera with omeperzole)"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I had no idea that I had this H pylori infection, found out by submitting a stool sample. I am on the 9th day of taking Pylera and I pray I am cured when I return to the doctor. I also hope I never have to take it again because of tired feeling, black stools, irritability and overall bad feeling. SO THANKFUL THAT TOMORROW IS MY LAST DAY!!"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Worst experience taking Pylera I'm always sick, dizzy, nauseated, stomach cramping. Day 5 I'm having dark urine, I force myself to eat and take the meds. I can only pray this works. My 1st set of medication didn't work for 10 days so now I'm on pylera. I want to have my normal life back. This is so so painful. I'm missing work and spending quality time with my 7 year old because I'm always feeling so sick. I wish you all the best of luck with this."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "First of all if you're on this site- step away from computer! Yes it's good to gather information but get it from a medical professional. Everyone is so different and no one responds the same way so why distress yourself with all the glom and doom scenarios of other people?i Did the regimen and did have 3 days where I felt real bad but after being sick as a dog for 6 wks from actual infection 3 bad days was a piece of cake."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "had an endoscopy a few weeks ago for the main purpose of dilating the esophagus. I received a call a week later telling me about the H pylori so I began the regimen 7 days ago. Today has been the worst of the 7 days I am very dizzy and nauseous. I am never hungry so it's been difficult to force feed just to get the pills down. I have headaches and the metallic taste in my mouth. The two worse times are the lunch and dinner. I'm only 107 lbs so may just cut back a pill on my own pray that helps. I have neck pain and headaches but that could be due to a nerve block on the neck done 8 days ago. Will repost after the breathing test. I was told to stay away from Motrin which helps with my neck pain that's another aggravation. No bowel issues"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I just stumbled upon this site & gladly so. I recently had an endoscopy performed & the biopsy revealed H. Pylori bacteria. What the heck is that? How did I get it & how long have I had it? Thought I was having liver pain, no gall bladder issues, no a hyatial hernia, or pancreatitus! What I have is this creepy bacteria that has caused erosive ulcers in my stomach & duodenum area along with rings in my esophagus that have caused me to have spasms while swallowing. Then bloating and abdominal cramping began at the latest stage. The GI doc prescribed Pylera & I have now taken 2 doses with 28 more to go! Will let you all know how I do."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "Day 3 and these are the symptoms I've experienced: Dizziness, anxiety attacks, numbness in toes and fingers, joint pain, nasal congestion, metallic taste in mouth, funny stuffed ear sensation, paresthesia all over, dark stool, low blood sugar if I don't eat every 3 hours, loss of appetite, nausea, brain fog, eye pain, blurred vision, muscle weakness, back pain, malaise, funny feeling in the pit of my stomach, gas, belching, off balance, jaw pain, speech difficulty, irritation, agitation... I am praying that these symptoms will stop today. My doctor told me to tough it out. There must be a better treatment for H. Pylori."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I'm on day 5. This has been hard to go through but I think it's doable so far. For me it was hard to eat a full meal and then take 3 pills consecutively after. It was easier to eat a little, take 1 pill, wait 10-15 min, eat again, take another pill, then wait untill all 3 pills are gone. It was easier on my stomach and increased the amount I ate. As far as symptoms, I've experienced them all. Fruit, apple sauce, Cheerios and veggie sandwiches worked best for me. Get the apple sauce in the little pouches, you can recap them if you get full. I am 18 year old, 5'6", 120 lb female in case that means anything to anyone."

My advice drink at least 16 ounces of water with your pills and make sure you eat something ...the color of stool changed to a dark metallic color - but I feel better. The medicine is working."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "This is a very dangerous drug. I now have weakness in my arms and legs and it's been five days since I finished my last dose. I felt a slight weakening in the legs on the last day but still completed the course. It then progressed to heaviness, so bad that I can't barely lift my arms or go up the stairs. Now I realized that peripheral neuropathy is a side effect. I just hope and pray that this is reversible. I am writing this to warn others. The sad part is I didn't feel any side effect until after the last dose. Wish I had been more diligent. Please be careful."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I am on day 5 and all I can say is I hope this pylera helps. I've been getting bad taste in my mouth, insomnia..which makes it so hard to function. Also headaches, stomach pain, extreme fatigue, mood swings, dark stools and urine, loss of appetite etc. But I am hopeful that this works versus all the other antibiotics I've taken. It seems like a never ending battle just about a year now and getting aggravated with this and being so limited on what to and not to eat to upset me. Hoping for the best. Good luck to all.."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "The first two days, I felt alright. I drank a lot of water with my doses. (About 16oz) On day three, I panicked because my urine was really dark and wasted a bunch of time in the ER to find nothing wrong with me but needing to drink a little more water that day. From day 4 till the very end, I felt exhausted and queasy in the mornings took forever to get motivated to do anything. Luckily, I'm on summer break! I read a lot on here that people took probiotics, but my pharmacist said that Calcium would interfere with absorption so I didn't. I eliminated all dairy to make sure there were no interferences. My last dose was yesterday morning and I have gas building up now- I'm guessing its from reintroducing the dairy into my diet?"

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I've been off of Pylera for 5 days, and just now feeling a little better. The worst has been diarrhea/loose stool for 14 days. Tested negative for C-Diff, thank God. The nausea and fatigue were also just as bad. I went on pro-biotics 2x daily and a yogurt a day right after treatment. I still have strong urges to use the bathroom as soon as I get up, but things appear to be slowing down. I am on 3 different ointments due to fissure/hemorrhoid, and still feeling fatigued. Worst treatment I have ever experienced, but had little choice after Prepak failure. I give it a "1" only in terms of side effects. If my UBT comes back negative at the end of the month, I give it a "10." My suffering was then worth it."

For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "The dosage is 3 pills 4 times a day for 10 days, and I am on day 8 of 10 with this medication. I hope it works to kill the H. pylori infection. I have had a few headaches, but I got headaches before, so I am not sure if the medication is causing them. I do not always eat a meal before I take them, which could be what is causing that sick feeling. I do take a probiotic, which I think has helped with the other issues that others have while taking this medication. My body aches, but I cannot say that's from the medication. My body ached before the medication due to everything I have been through. I have not taken any over-the-counter Advil or anything in the Advil family because I want my body to fully heal from this infection. I made the mistake of drinking a milkshake a few hours after a dose because the taste that came with it was a gall-like or bile-like taste. When I worked out, the gall/bile taste increased. I also got a yeast infection from the medication."
