No muscle relaxants aren't tested for even in a 10 panel drug screen. Most don't use a 10 panel because of the expense, but what's tested are.
Marijuana
Cocaine
Phencyclidine
Opiates
Methamphetamine
Methadone
Amphetamine
Barbiturates
Benzodiazepines
Tricyclic antidepressants
You have opiates down can they tell the differance bettween vicodon and percocet
Hydrocodone and oxycodone are differentiated, yes.
so what does it show up as?bbecause it shows as something at my doc office... and it read positive for no Soma. when I was there 5 days late,,still wweren't very understanding... so what does it show as nbarb, benzo, morhine,,or soma?
Soma's and xanax, and all your benzo's are only one molecule away for being a benzo! I find that piece of info from a doctor who had a friend that worked for the DEA! And he is fight. When i was getting my somas, from my doctor, YES, there was a test for somas. But, it tested for almost 100 types of drugs. It depends on the panel drug sceen that you wre gatting Hope this was helpful! I found out out that my doctor, was sendind the urine tests straight to the DEA, for testing! My doctor teasted FOR EVERYTHING! But, he still lost his license to prat. Med's.! His license was suspended for over prescribing Medication to people who not did have Disk Degenerstion Degerorator, like i do. He had almost 1,500 pateints in his office. Maybe you have heard of him, his name was Cecil A. Moore. And was on the south side off Oklahoma City! He was a HORRIBLE Doctor. Now that i lost my doctor, i am on METHODON! I HATE IT. Not worrking at all for my pain and muscle spasams. I am at only 30 MLG., a day. For right now. Just to keep me from going through withdraws.

Some states in the Untied States have changed their Controlled Substance laws. SOMA is one of those drugs in which some states consider a controlled substance. The following list Soma as a controlled substance:
As of August 2009, carisoprodol is considered to be a schedule CIV by the states of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas (scheduled using the states new controlled substance program which requires physicians to obtain, and include, a state "DPS" number as well as a DEA number on all Scheduled drugs) and Washington State (not verified, WA still using DEA scheduling). It is a schedule CIII in West Virginia.
If any one wanted to test for Carisoprodol they would have to purchase a single test strip that tests for Carisoprodol which wouldn't happen in most cases. Hope this helps!!
hateto burst ur bubble but soma is not a barbituate... go to prescrition drug list a-z for facts

I know this was posted 9 mo. ago, but in case someone else comes across it like I did:
Soma shows up in urine drug tests as what it metabolizes into, Carbamate & Meprobramate (sedative/tranquilizer/benzodiazepine-type drug), among with other things. If these show up, they would have to ask for further testing of that urine sample you gave them to make to get a definitive answer as it wouldn't show up on a urine panel test.
okay so say I take 5 somas one day and like a day or 2 later I get a 12 panel instant test u think it will come up benzo?
no, soma is NOT a benzo, its a muscle relaxant, an example of benzos are xanax, klonopin, temazepam etc,the only thing that connects benzos and somas is that they both produce muscle relaxant qualities

I realize how old this post is but wanted to respond regardless, because someone desperate for help passing a drug test may read it like I did. Im in drug court and test 3x a wk. Failing a test results in jail time for me. I came across some incorrect info and took the risk of taking couple soma. When I tested it showed up as positive for benzo. This was even after I drank enough water to kill me and tried out the sure jell method. (canning gelatin) Needless to say, I now have 4 days to spend in county, So to anyone reading through this be cautious of how much trust you put into the info you read on internet. Of all the drug test Ive ever taken and its ALOT, the only way I have found to pass is to use someone elses CLEAN pee or not use!
its really nice to see someone have a caring, definitive answer :)
On July 13, 2004 soma/carisoprodol was legally scheduled a controlled substance in schedule IV. It's funny to read through some of the posts on the internet and is obvious that most answers come from assumptions or something someone heard from someone who heard from someone who was told by a Dr. Doesn't anyone remember elimentary school... You know the one where someone says something and it get passed around the class, then by the time it reaches the last person, the fact has been so twisted from the what was first said. Look, ask a Doc or pharmacist. Some answers may vary but i got that info off the DEA's website. And as far as the drug tests go, when i 1st started having back probs, my Dr prescribed me 350mg soma. That was the ONLY thing i was taking, but then when I went to a clinic to get treated they refused it and the readoning was that i tested pos for a benzo. I was infuriated because i knew i didn't take any xannies or valium.
