Benicar - Can I cut a 40mg in half? Now only taking 20mg?

I have taken Benicar this way for years (with my doctor's permission). I also use Benicar HCTZ this way. If you are on top of your BP readings it not only saves money but I do it when my BP gets too low from the 40mg.

The general rule is if its not scored (line down the middle) you cant cut it.
This is usually because it has a special coating.
