Gentak Cream
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Gentak Cream:
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Gentak Cream:Application-site irritation (redness and itching); skin sensitivity to sunlight.
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); delayed healing of the cornea; redness, itching or swelling of the eyelids; ulcers of the cornea.
Gentak Drops
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Gentak Drops:
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Gentak Drops:Bloodshot eye; burning or stinging of the eye.

Gentak Side Effects - for the Professional
Gentak
Bacterial and fungal corneal ulcers have developed during treatment with gentamicin ophthalmic preparations.
The most frequently reported adverse reactions are ocular burning and irritation upon drug instillation, non-specific conjunctivitis, conjunctival epithelial defects and conjunctival hyperemia.
Other adverse reactions which have occurred rarely are allergic reactions, thrombocytopenic purpura and hallucinations.

Ocular side effects have included burning and irritation upon administration, nonspecific conjunctivitis, conjunctival hyperemia, and conjunctival epithelial defects.
Hematologic
Hematologic side effects have rarely included thrombocytopenic purpura.
Psychiatric
Psychiatric side effects have rarely included hallucinations.
Hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity reactions have been reported.
Other
Other side effects have included the development of fungal and bacterial corneal ulcers during therapy.
