AH-Chew D Chewable Tablets

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using AH-Chew D Chewable Tablets:

Difficulty urinating; dizziness; headache; nausea; nervousness; restlessness; sleeplessness; stomach irritation.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using AH-Chew D Chewable Tablets:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue).

AH-Chew Chewable Tablets

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using AH-Chew Chewable Tablets:

Blurred vision; clumsiness; constipation; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth, nose, or throat; excitability or irritability (especially in children); flushing; giddiness; headache; lack of energy; nausea; nervousness; tearing; trouble sleeping; unusual tiredness or weakness.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using AH-Chew Chewable Tablets:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); difficulty swallowing; mental or mood changes; pounding in the chest; unusual bleeding or bruising; urinary retention; vomiting.

AH-Chew Suspension

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using AH-Chew Suspension:

Constipation; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth, nose, or throat; excitability or irritability (especially in children); flushing; headache; nausea; nervousness.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using AH-Chew Suspension:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); blurred vision; clumsiness; difficulty swallowing; fast or irregular heartbeat; hallucinations; mental or mood changes; seizures; tremor; trouble sleeping; trouble urinating; unusual bleeding or bruising; vomiting.

Side Effects by Body System

Nervous system

Nervous system side effects of phenylephrine have included headache, dizziness, nervousness, restlessness, tremor, insomnia, convulsions, and central nervous system depression. Antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine and anticholinergics such as methscopolamine may cause drowsiness and dizziness.

Cardiovascular

Cardiovascular side effects of phenylephrine have included palpitations, arrhythmias, and cardiovascular collapse with hypotension.

Psychiatric

Psychiatric side effects of phenylephrine have included hallucinations, fear, and anxiety.

Gastrointestinal

Gastrointestinal side effects of phenylephrine have included nausea. Antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine and anticholinergics such as methscopolamine may cause excessive dryness of the nose, throat, and mouth.

Respiratory

Respiratory side effects of phenylephrine have included respiratory difficulty.

Genitourinary

Genitourinary side effects of phenylephrine have included dysuria.

General

General side effects of phenylephrine have included pallor and weakness.

Ocular

Ocular side effects including blurred vision may be caused by antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine and anticholinergics such as methscopolamine.
