Famotidine is used in the treatment of gerd; erosive esophagitis; duodenal ulcer; urticaria; zollinger-ellison syndrome (and more), and belongs to the drug class H2 antagonists. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy. Famotidine 20 mg is not subject to the Controlled Substances Act.
