Medically reviewed by Melisa Puckey, BPharm. Last updated on Feb 7, 2024.

RSV vaccines available are Abrysvo (Pfizer) and Arexvy (GSK) both can be used by older adults 60 years and older, and Abrysvo can also be used in late pregnancy to prevent severe RSV in babies through to age 6 months. RSV vaccines are used to help reduce the risk of severe RSV symptoms, hospitalization, or death in at-risk patients. RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccination Abrysvo and Arexvy are single-dose injections.

RSV immunization (passive immunization)
RSV passive immunizations available are Beyfortus (Nirsevimab) or Synagis (palivizumab) for specific groups of infants and young children. RSV antibody products can help prevent severe symptoms of RSV disease in certain infants and young children.
