"I am not diabetic but I started using Ozempic for weight loss. I took my first injection 5 days ago and I feel like a different person. I have been energized, great mood, no cravings for sweets and I get full very quickly when I finally do want to eat. I haven't checked my weight yet but I definitely feel less bloated"

"My Dr gave me a 2 month sample for weight loss. I've been on it for 6 weeks and already lost 15 pounds. I was at 195lb when I started and down to 180lb, which at my age (50) I thought I'd never see. My only complaint is severe acid reflux, all day, all night. Dr told me to take 40mg of prilosec in the morning and 40mg at night (4 pills total). It worked but now I'm concerned about this chemical cocktail I'm putting into my body just to lose weight, not sure if it's worth it longterm. But Ozempic does work! I sometimes have to force myself to eat and drink as I'll go the entire day without eating and realize I need fuel."

"I’m 5 foot tall, 50, female, perimenopausal, non-diabetic, not prediabetic, 176 pounds. HbA1c is 37 but BMI is in obese range. Started on 0.25mg for 4 weeks. Lost 6 pounds. Definitely curbs appetite for first 3 days but cravings are back by day 4. Will need higher dose. No nausea or other symptoms except bloating when I eat more than one portion. My diet is generally good as I rarely eat junk food and never drink soda or add sugar to anything. My diet is healthier than my skinny friends but my problem is portion control. I’m optimistic this medication will work to curb overeating and head off obesity and diabetes post menopause. Can’t “weight” to see what 0.5mg dose does for me."

"Believe it or not l had to quit Ozempic because l had gallbladder removal. This isn't enough to blame Ozempic for its side effects. My gallbladder got removed on June 2 ,2022 and l have all my medical paperwork. l told the doctor about this issue and till today the doctor has never talked to me about it anymore. I have already filed many complaints with attorneys, and they are holding my complaint on ice at this point. Just letting y’all know that Ozempic can also cause problems such as gallbladder removal as well. Yes l didn’t pay out of pocket but it can cost my life another way. Ozempic can be dangerous so please read my complaint before even starting taking it."

"Warning this stuff will make you sick, I have been taking this for 2 months. In the first month I had terrible diarrhea it got so bad I ended up going to hospital, I told my doctor, and he said he doubted it was Ozempic ,so I tried it again in the 2nd month on a higher dose and the 2nd week in again I was terribly ill vomiting for 4 days straight with intermittent diarrhoea and feeling absolutely awful. My night sleep is very broken with stomach pains, increased wind, nausea I'm now stopping using it."

"My reasons for taking this if for weight loss, prior stroke, epilepsy, Pre- diabetes. I’ve been on it at .25 for four weeks with no side effects and lost 39 lbs. I started 0.5 today had explosive bowel movement and cramping after I injected but now am fine. I weighed 199 and was 5’4 when starting, now weigh 160lb. I lost my sweet tooth and eat reasonable meals. Today for example, I had a packet of oatmeal for breakfast, had a junior burger for lunch, and will eat a small shrimp cocktail with a salad for dinner. The pen is easy to use. I inject under the skin on alternate sides of the belly."

"Taking the drug early evening; really seems to help maybe because I’m not so active and then going to sleep gives the drug more time to get settled in the body? plus having small meals also another great tip. so far no side-effects at all"

"It has been pretty amazing for me. Anything with sugar or wheat seems inedible and I always feel full, so I am eating extremely small portion sizes. I am struggling to eat enough calories, yet I'll have to do it so as not to put my body in starving mode. Food no longer matters to me. I have to schedule my meals and set reminders. During the first 3 weeks the weight loss was rapid (too fast even), then it slowed down remarkably. There have been weeks it plateaus and once I even gained back 0.9 lbs, but usually the loss per week is 1.5-1.75 lbs, so within 3 months I have lost 44 lbs already and the weight loss continues. As for the dosage, I started with 0.25mg, the 2nd month moved to 0.33mg, the 3rd upped it to 0.4mg and now, while starting the 4th month, I increased it to 0.5mg. This way I managed to avoid any side effects (I had very mild ones when I started, almost unnoticeable, but still I did not want to risk it). So, for me, it has been nothing short of a miracle."

"Got a Ozempic sample from my doctor. Taking .25 a week and on day 13 I have lost 14.5 lbs and no side effects. Went from 253 to 238.5 and did not change my diet. I was already watching what I ate but not losing any weight. (sucks when you keep gaining weight on a diet) started taking Ozempic and started losing weight after second day. Hope it continues. Hoping insurance pays but will stay on it either way."

"I always had some side effects of Ozempic. Mainly exhaustion, nauseous, occasional throwing up after eating, constipation. As month 3 came and the dose increased to 1mg, I ended up in the Emergency room. I was vomiting and had liquid diarrhea for 4 days. My heart rate was elevated and my potassium was dangerously low. At the time, I thought it was a stomach bug-until the next injection caused the same effects. I've been on ant-nausea medication since. I can see why it takes the appetite away-being exhausted and nauseous 24/7 is terrible. Potassium is still not where it should be. Hoping this gets out of my system fast."

"I have been battling hypoactive thyroid and autoimmune disease for several years. I gained weight with hypoactive thyroid (apparently it can happen to some people) and even more with all the medication and medication side effects. My doctors decided to put me on Ozempic to aid with the uncontrollable weight gain. I have just started, it is day 6 for me and so far no side effects apart from some constipation but this can be attributed to eating way less. I am going to be on a low dose for the first 4-6 weeks, so we started with 0.25 mg. Already a couple of hours after the injection I had lost my appetite, I suddenly view sweets and white bread/pastries/pasta as inedible plastic, I have zero cravings, I can drink just a half a glass of water OR have just a couple of olives OR a small piece of goat cheese and I feel full (as if my stomach has shrunk into a tiny one) and do not want to eat for hours or at all, so I have reminders set that I need to have a bite. It feels amazing."

"I started Ozempic about 7 weeks ago for weight loss. I had very few symptoms at .25 dosage. Lost about 1-2lb per week. I switched to the .5 dose and ended up in the ER the next morning. That .5 dose was a whopper. I have had debilitating abdominal pain for 2 days now. I have never felt pain like this. I am still suffering with pain. I will not use it again- I feel that bad!"

"Absolutely horrific. I get it works for most people, but unfortunately not me (and should not be promoted as a miracle drug that can help all obese people lose weight, as it doesn't work for everyone). I took 0.25 (the smallest dose) for 3 weeks and nothing (I yo yo'ed with my weight; lost a bit then gained it again) . After 3 weeks (not sure why 3 weeks for me) the main side effects kicked in. Diarrhoea/loose stools, constipation, vomiting, nausea. Worst side effect was for 3 nights in a row, at about 3am I projectile vomited. First night I almost aspirated and choked on my own vomit trying to make it to the toilet without throwing up. Second night even though I had the bathroom bin next to my bed, I was still projectile vomiting and I couldn't sleep as I had a panic attack that I'd pass away overnight and my family would find me dead as I couldn't breathe as I had undigested food stuck in my oesophagus. Gave up after 5 weeks of the lowest dose"

"Started low dose .25, experienced discomfort in the stomach. Increased 4 weeks later to .5, symptoms got worse, blood sugar improved. Another 4 weeks after moved to 1mg dosage and life is awful. I've lost all control of my bowels from the severe long-lasting diarrhea, sometimes pooping the bed. I'm wearing adult diapers at 35 and my self esteem has taken a nose-dive. The sulfur burps are horrible and constant. The gas and bloating makes me look and feel horrible. I'm following a diet and doing every single thing my doctor has asked me to do for 7 months. I've lost 32 pounds but sleep in a diaper. Was it worth it? No.... Nope.... My A1C improved a tiny bit but otherwise I'm just feeling tired, weak and totally mortified. Can't go hardly anywhere unless I KNOW there is a restroom very close. Vomit every day."

"Working with a board certified obesity physician who suggested I try Ozempic. I am not diabetic but was pre-diabetic in 2015 and was on 1,000 mg Metformin until February of this year. I LOVE Ozempic. I feel like a normal human who doesn't think about food constantly, who can now leave food on my plate (because of Ozempic) and not pick at other people's plate. I've lost 32 pounds in 19 weeks!! I never had any gastrointestinal problems with the exception of being constipated so I take something for that a couple times a week. It is much better than the diarrhea I had with Metformin. Started on .025 mg for the first four weeks then went to .05 mg and plan to stay on that as long as it works. BUT PLEASE BE AWARE, you have to cut down on carbs like breads, pastas and sweets. I don't have a craving for sweets anymore. My doctor said Ozempic doesn't work as well if you keep eating those kind of carbs and I have noticed that when I cheat. I'm 74, something about "old dog new tricks""

"Started taking Ozempic 0.25mg 7 weeks ago and increased to 0.5 after 4 weeks. The reason for taking Ozempic was mainly for weight loss although I was pre diabetic. I was originally 94kgs and I’m 76 kgs today. Have always struggled with weight loss since giving birth to my 8 year old. I experience slight nausea here and there and I find that oily foods tend to trigger it so I try to eat less fatty foods. I do minimal exercise and I’m so happy with the result. Will continue taking Ozempic until I reach my target weight then will decide if I want to stop it or continue on a minimal dose for maintenance. I’m scared if I stop I might regain the weight. I highly recommend this drug to anyone struggling with weight loss."

I took the last injection on Friday that problem did not clear up not clear up until, late Tuesday afternoon. I did call the doctor he put me on antibiotics, There is no reversal for this medication. It was not for me."

"Within 12 hours of first dose, vomiting occurred and continued for 3 days. Unable to keep any food down; small sips of ginger ale only thing I did not vomit. Lower abdominal tight cramping. Pain in upper abdomen.Vomiting at all times of day and night which added too the fatigued feeling. Days 4-7 felt queasy. Second injection: same side effects as first. Emetrol helped me eat dry toast (1/2 slice) and weak tea. Third dose: Same effects but only for 2-1/2 days."

"My daughter was given Ozempic to help with weight. She has lupus and with the steroids, she had gained around 30 pounds, which is horrible since she has always been in prime condition with her dance. She has struggled ever since with the weight even after cutting all carbs, white process flour, gluten, and anything with corn syrup. We went to no processed foods, fresh fruits and vegetables as well as exercise. Gave her the first injection (o.25) around 6 p.m. All was good until 11 p.m. that night. She woke us up so very sick. Extreme nausea, then the worst headache ever set in. She thought her head was going to explode. She was shaking all over, extremely light headed and then said she was "on fire" inside her body. She then totally passed out. Had to go to the ER we were so afraid. Never again!!!!"

"I started on the lowest dose of Ozempic in October 2022. One injection, in my thigh, once a week. I didn't make it past the first 4 weeks or the lowest dose. My physician hoped that since I do not have a gallbladder, many of the reported side effects of nausea and vomiting would not affect me. Wrong. First week and all things went well. I experienced no real side effects and had decreased appetite and energy. I slept well and was active. Second, third and fourth weeks, not so good. Modified my entire diet, but could barely could eat or drink anything but a little chicken. Constant and severe nausea, vomiting, sleep deprivation, headaches, body aches, and zero energy for the next three weeks. It was like having a severe case of stomach flu for 4 weeks. Oh, I lost weight, between18-20lbs. Unfortunately, this is not a sustainable way of life. I couldn't function; I didn't leave my house for a month. I pulled myself off of it and it took another 3 months recover fully."

"I have been on Ozempic for 3 months now, the first day I vomited but haven’t since, nausea for the first month or so and I got very constipated but now all is good and I suffer no side effects anymore. So far I have lost 22kgs, I have no sugar cravings and my appetite is right down, making sure I eat healthy meals is the only challenge as I do not feel like eating. But I could not recommend this enough to any who really struggles with food and weight loss."
