For Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "I was given samples of Motegrity because I have pelvic floor dysfunction, IBS-C, gastritis and a bit of gastric emptying delay. I wanted this to work so badly! The first day produced a perfect BM, but I have migraines and thought one was coming on all day. The next day, BM again, but I started having anxiety over dying! What? Depression hit the third day. I’m done! Going to just take senna. Nothing else works."

For Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "Started taking 2mg Resolor 10 days ago before bed and apart from bad headache first night/morning no other side effects to date. Some improvement to natural bowel movement but consultant recommended 2 weeks before seeing results. Fingers x"

Motegrity (prucalopride) "It worked with respect to speeding up motility, which is what was needed (it was used off-label with me) and that worked well. I'd go about 16 hours after taking it. I ate some corn to see how long it would take since it doesn't digest completely, and it came out the next morning (in a test of passing small rings, I still had some in me 5 days later when 3 is considered the longest time for normal, so this was a massive improvement). The problem was then for the next 3 hours I went, including finally having diarrhea from close enough to my stomach I could feel the acid at the 'other end'. I was taking 2mg, so am thinking perhaps 1mg would be better. I am currently waiting to get financial aid to keep taking it, so I only had a 2-week trial. The one thing that concerns me is I am thinking I might be one of the people who suffer from depression when taking this, as the second week I struggled emotionally, which is not normal for me. Once I get financial aid, I'll see what 1mg does."

For Constipation "I started suffering with constipation 6 years ago along with abdominal pains and bloating almost daily. I tried various medications via the GP but just wasn't being taken seriously and it felt like a real battle to get sorted. Finally, I was referred to a specialist and diagnosed with Obstructive Defecation Disorder and I started 2mg of Resolor daily. I take it at night and it’s been absolutely life-changing for me. I wake every morning and need the toilet with no straining, my bloating and abdo pains have gone! The first few days I had a lot of diarrhea but this settled quickly. I wanted to leave this review because I was really scared to start the medication after reading some of the negative reviews but I persevered and I'm so glad that I did. I am in the UK so I get this medication for free on the NHS."

Motegrity (prucalopride) for Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "I'm on day 3 and so far it works great. Linzess and Trulance worked a week and stopped, so the jury is out for the long term. The only side effects I have experienced are mild dizziness and back pain. And one strange one, which may be the cause of the loss of appetite. Things that should not taste salty do. That started today. Grapes, French toast so far. I hope that goes away with time."

"I was put on prucalopride to treat moderate gasteoparesis. I initially started on 1mg and within a few weeks I became severely depressed, crying all the time and had suicidal ideation. I dropped the dose to 0.5mg after reading the information sheet. My gastroparesis got worse so I was told to go back up to 1mg and again within about 2-3 weeks I had severe depression and suicidal thoughts. I reduced the dose back to 0.5mg and within a few days the fog had lifted. I have the same reaction to tramadol which also works in a similar was on seratonin receptors. Never again. Stay away from this drug if you have a history of mental health conditions and if you're going to try, get someone to watch you closely."

For Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "I've suffered from severe constipation for years nothing has ever really helped me. I took prucalopride once around a month and a half ago and had a really bad headache, nausea, sweats, and abdominal pain and couldn't get off the toilet all night. I took it again around 2 weeks later and had the same side effects but didn't work for me as well as it didn't the first time around. I started taking it again last night along with 2 other laxatives I was told to take and my god I haven't got off the toilet since! Side effects have not been as bad for me this time around the only problem is my stomach is rumbling so much but I have no appetite! I'm hoping they will calm down soon and my appetite will come back."

For Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "I’ve had a lifetime of chronic severe constipation from Ehlers Danlos Hypermobility Syndrome and as well as Transverse Myelitis. I’ve been on daily senna, Linaclotide, as well as lactulose for over 10 years and still don’t feel my bowel emptying. And I have such a high fiber diet but still not enough relief. I tried prucalopride only for a day a few years ago when my health was bad and at the time couldn’t tolerate the headache. But this time I read reviews from other people which suggested drinking a coffee first thing in the morning to help with the headache, and after a couple of days it was really okay. I’ve been on 1mg for just a week and have been going to the toilet every day with just prucalopride and senna, giving up the other laxatives. It’s meant to take longer to work and I’m also supposed to go up to 2mg, but I’m very happy so far with the lack of side effects and also how well it’s working."

For Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "I was given Resolor/prucalopride 2mg to try to help my slow bowel system from gastroparesis. I had read the reviews on here so I decided to only take half the pill, 1mg. I took it w/ water around 11pm so this way if it did well I could sleep .I laid down & was on my phone just relaxing when about 40 minutes later I started feeling my stomach gurgle. I got up & went to the restroom. Sure enough it already gave me a bowel movement. It didn't end there.I was starting to feel nauseous. I paced around bc my stomach was becoming so upset there was no way I could lay down & just fall asleep. I ended up throwing up all of my food from that day plus diarrhea at the same time! It was awful! I'm jealous of all the people who've had the great experience with this pill but I'll NEVER take it again. I was up until 5am sick. I've laid in bed all day bc I still feel sick.If you try this, take as little as possible the 1st time! You'll be grateful u did if it goes bad!"

For Chronic Idiopathic Constipation "I was on Resolor 1 mg for 3 months. It has been helpful for regular bowel movements. However, on 5th June, I developed for the first time a Supraventricular Tachycardia with a heart beat of average 130. Now I have stopped taking it. I need views whether my SVT was caused by Resolor 1 mg."
