Systane (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "Have been using SYSTANE on and off for a few weeks and have experienced severe redness, swelling, and itching around my eyes. Couldn't figure out at first what was causing it, so narrowed it down to this product and made note when I used it. Sure enough, SYSTANE seemed to be the cause. While using this eye gel and naturally blinking after it is placed in my eyes, some gel gets onto the surrounding skin around the eyes, and it has caused the redness, itching, and swelling. So, be aware of this side effect."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I have gotten a broken blood vessel in my eyes two or three times. I was wondering if it was from the Systane drops. I just started using them recently as my eyes were dry. Has anyone else had this side effect?"

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Cataract surgeon gave me a bottle of Systane to use before cataract surgery. I've been on it for two days and started getting blurry vision. Have you read the ingredients? Boric acid and hydrochloric acid!!"

Refresh Optive Mega-3 (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Two weeks after eye surgery (cataract)I went in to see my eye doctor. My vision was great. He said my eye looked wonderful and was now completely healed. I was delighted! Then he gave me these Refresh Optive Mega-3 eyedrops to use. I told him I finished the other eye drops and didn't want anymore due to the filmy cloudless they caused but he insisted I use them. So I go home and put one drop into my eye and oh, was that a HUGE MISTAKE. My eye turned red, swelled up, and it felt like someone had punched me in the eye. Watering, burning and PAIN! I returned to his office and he told me to go home and hold an ice bag on my eye for 15 minutes at a time. It's been six hours and still no relief. BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT!"

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Use it to clear my dry eyes and thought it's doing good. But no... I am experiencing blurred vision now. Reading all the reviews, I have proven it is from the use of this Systane Balance eye drop. So sad... instead of helping my eyes, it made it worse."

Refresh Tears (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "My eyes occasionally become dry. I have used many brands of eye drops over the years. I recently purchased Refresh Tears Lubricant Eye Drops (because of good price). As soon as I put a drop in each eye, my eyes immediately became very red and painfully sore. I have never had such an effect with other brands of eyedrops, including Equate."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I recently went in for an eye exam and was told my eyes were dry. The optometrist told me to start using Systane Ultra a few times a day. In the first 4 days of use, I've noticed my vision blurred and my contacts bothering me substantially. I've been using the same brand of contacts for years, and nothing else has changed, so it has to be the drops."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "I have used Systane for about 9 weeks and have been experiencing severe swelling and irritation of my eyelids, including splitting of the skin and drying out of the sore areas. Have narrowed down the cause as Systane, and not blepharitis."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Two years after an 'outbreak' of dry eye had come and gone, I went to the eye Dr. inquiring about LASEK, and long story short, she told me I should start and continue using eye drops because my dry eye could flare up again, etc., etc. For whatever reason, I listened to this stupid advice and started using Systane, even though I would normally think, 'Why treat it if it's not even a problem?' Well, the first day of using Systane, my dry eye symptoms all came back, and I've been dealing with full-blown dry eye, tearing like crazy, raw in the corner of my eye, and eyelashes falling out from constant moisture and itching all night. THANKS, DOC.! and Systane."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "My optometrist suggested I use Systane Ultra in the evening try ease my mild dry eye issues. She suggested that we do not produce tears while sleeping and these were more long lasting than the usual eye drops used for dry eyes. I immediately noticed my eyes were dryer and itchier than normal. I would not recommend these drops , have discarded them, and have informed my optometrist of my experience."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "Was prescribed this for dry eyes by optometrist, told to use twice daily. Ever since 1st use, eyes stung and got extremely red, vision got worse, blurry vision, redness, itchy, and sensitivity to light. Did not realize it was this until I stopped use. Was told to use every 2 hours, and vision was getting worse. This product did not work for me."

Systane Hydration PF (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "The drops were recommended by my eye doctor, and they're quite good. That is, if you can get them in your eyes. The bottle is hands down the worst dispenser I have ever used, half of the time resulting in these rather expensive drops missing my eye and running down my face. They REALLY need to change the bottle to make it safer and more accurate."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "Doctor said my eyes were dry and scratched. Said to use Systane. Now my eyes are dry, scratched, puffy, and red. Eyes worse now than before Systane. Will never, ever use this product again. Into the garbage go these overpriced eye drops. They said other drops were all marketing - guess what, my eyes didn't get puffy and red."

Regener-Eyes Lite (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I could not be happier with Regener-Eyes. I had dry eyes for almost 15 years prior to LASIK, so I knew the recovery process might be slightly longer for me, in addition to a new autoimmune disorder. These drops have been such a lifesaver. The immediate and quick tingle on my eyes (which I like) reminds me that they are actually healing eye drops and not just lotion for my dry eyes. They are a little pricey, but discounts are available, but we also know that we get what we pay for. My LASIK eye doctor loves that my eyes are less and less dry with each subsequent visit, every two months. And I love that my eyes feel better and better!"

Systane (ocular lubricant) "I used Systane eye drops for my dry eye and right away noticed that my vision was blurry so I stopped using and at the same time my eye lashes on both eyes fell out. I was puzzled more about the lashes than anything as it was very concerning. My eyelashes grew back in about 2 months, and one morning I grabbed what I thought was my re-wetting drops only it was the Systane. I put it in one eye when I immediately realized that I used the wrong bottle, and guess what.....in about 2 days, my eyelashes in the eye I used the Systane fell out again!!! Very upset about this!! I threw the bottle in trash which is what I should have done in the 1st place...."

FreshKote (ocular lubricant) for Eye Redness "Using FreshKote is helping drastically, especially at night. I would randomly wake up in the middle of the night feeling like somebody tore the skin off my cornea because my eyelids would stick to my eyes, and FreshKote coat has prevented that. I am also using a humidifier at night and throughout the day in the house to keep my eyes feeling comfortable."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I usually use Thera Tears but picked up the new Systane Balance on sale. I thought I was going crazy but my eyelashes started falling out! I couldn’t figure out why until I switched back to Thera Tears and they’re finally growing back. Never again!"

TheraTears (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I have used TheraTears since 2015 due to Sjogren's Disease. I have opted to only use the vials as I can and have used them over 4 times per day. I have never had a problem using them. No side effects and for the most part, it keeps my eyes moist."

Systane Ultra (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "Good lord. How can you market a product to cure dry eyes which does the complete opposite? Isn't that fraud? The makers of this stuff better watch out for a class action lawsuit because this stuff is awful and the company is guilty of false advertising. Have used for only one day and my eyes are getting worse by the minute. They feel dry, sticky and sore. Not the least bit moisturized! Just decided to discontinue."

Systane (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "I was advised to use Systane ultra gel for dry eyes. I woke up one morning and my eyes were blood red! I stopped using Systane for a few days and I was fine. A week later my eyes became dry during the night so I used the Systane. Sure enough, the next morning my eyes were blood red again. In the trash is where these drops will go."

Systane Hydration PF (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "The tamper proof applicator is one of the worst applicators ever for eye drops. Not everyone drops the eye drops into the eye by tilting back the head. I pull down the lower lid and place a drop. When using this applicator, you cannot place the drop exactly where you want it to go; so it either runs down the face or misses the face altogether. The tip needs to be a lot more pointed so it is visible when turning the head to the side. I will not buy this applicator again."

Systane (ocular lubricant) "In preparation for cataract surgery my ophthalmologist told me to use Systane four times a day. After the first eye was done I was also told to use it in the operated eye for irritation as needed. So now after repeated use and both eyes getting worse and worse in terms of dryness , irritation and light sensitivity I finally had the DUH moment and figured out the Systane was making my eyes miserable. It's now been about 19 hours since I stopped the drops and both eyes are SO, SO much improved. Maybe this stuff is okay for an occasional dose, but most certainly not repeatedly."

Systane Complete (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "So glad I read all these reviews. I started a week ago with Systane complete for dry eye and eye fatigue. Thought I was going crazy since my eyes aren’t focusing, can’t keep them open, and have moderate light sensitivity. Seems to be getting worse the longer I use it. Going to stop and try to refresh or blink and see what happens. Will post a follow-up in a while."

Oasis Tears (ocular lubricant) for Dry Eye Disease "For me and my doctor oasis tears are the best in the market, however they are extremely expensive. The vials are a disaster, they are difficult to close and you lose a lot of product which at the price they sell, it is too much this is the reason I would not recommend them There are many products in the market who can do similar job don’t waste your money as I did"
