"I am taking Ortho Micronor for Polycystic Ovaries. I was previously on the combo pill but estrogen does not work well for me since I already have problems with excess estrogren. My age also means I am at higher risk of undesirable side effects and I have already been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Unfortunately, I will have to stop this medication, as well, as I am having continuous spotting which is annoying since I have to wear something at all times. It's also making my scalp flaky, my face oily, and I'm retaining so much water that the bloating is terrible. I am always uncomfortable. I feel the next step is a hysterectomy since I have painful cysts that rupture and I have already had the precursor for endometrial cancer which is in my family history."

For Endometriosis "HORRIBLE. I'm open minded to trying meds IF a logical & necessary reason. I was desperate for SOMETHING to manage my endo, acne & act as birth control. I was told this was safest. I was 26 then. Within 2 days my face broke out with crazy cystic acne. But I kept taking it cuz told it could take "8-10 weeks for my body to regulate". Each day got worse. Swollen, scarred, I lost my youthful tone & had low self esteem. No support from gyno. After 10 wks I went off Micronor yet my body couldn't reregulate & kept producing painful acne for 1 yr. In that time I found hope in Exposed Skincare products & PRP microneedling. Doctors are qualified, but still HUMAN. Trust your gut if it doesn't feel right. Don't wait like I did just cuz they tell you "8-10 weeks"."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for 2 weeks now. My doctor put me on this bc of the no estrogen and I was suffering from postpartum anxiety. It makes me extremely bloated and I have gained 9lbs. I have no sex drive and still am moody. I am planning on stopping this week. Not worth the additional weight gain after birth and the excess bloat is crazy!!! My mood swings are weird as well."

For Birth Control "This was not a bad birth control, I've missed it a couple times within 24hours and no pregnancy. Didn't have much weight gain at all. Only thing is lower than normal sex drive. I would recommend this for people (me included) that cannot take combo pills.. Higher risk of stroke due to excess estrogen. I will be back on it if I get my period this next month :)"

For Birth Control "Horrible pill that should be discontinued. I've never spotted so much in my life while being on any pill until I got on this one..and not to mention it gave me a period at least every other week. I'd rather stay on the combination pills from now on."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have PCOS and at times would bleed for months on end. I took Micronor to regulate my cycle and stayed on it for approx 5-6 months. I would say I experienced minimal side effects, some weight gain which I don't blame on the pill completely. It did regulate my cycles but I had a period frequently. My cycles were about 18-20 days, so it became frustrating but still better than bleeding 24/7."

For Birth Control "I am 43 years old and have always had very regular periods, and pretty good health. I have never had a good birth control experience though...until Micronor. I take it every day at the exact same time on an empty stomach. For the first time ever, I have not had ANY weight gain, no mood swings, no diminished sex drive, no ridiculous spotting, no swollen painful breasts. As a matter of fact, Micronor has eliminated PMS, I don't get any cramps, my skin is absolutely glowing, and my sex drive seems to be increased. I've been on the DEPO shot before (spotting continuously for months, 30 pound weight gain) I've been on countless combination pills (huge, sore boobs, zero sex drive, weight gain, moodiness) I wish I would have discovered the mini pill years ago. The only drawbacks: my period used to be about 4 days and done. Now, I bleed for maybe 2 days, and and then spot for 4 days...which can be a little annoying. But my cycle still comes every 28 days."

For Birth Control "I have been off of Micronor birth control for a little over a year now and I still do not have regular periods. I had to go off of it because it was giving me headaches, gained a lot of weight on it (even though my eating habits stayed the same), I was extremely forgetful while taking it. It's heartbreaking for my husband and I as we are TTC currently but I only get me period maybe every 4 months since stopping Micronor."

For Birth Control "I have chronic migraines which are all hormonal & dr told me this was the way to go. SMH. Don’t do it. Didn’t have a period for the first 2 months, then boom- for the next 6 months I bled EVERY SINGLE DAY brown mucky thick sticky blood!! It ruined my relationship. I ended up with so many damn daily headaches I had to get the heck off it. Felt better within 4 days. Awful pill method and I think it’s because NONE of these generics are worth a damn . These packages look like fake cheap meds."

For Birth Control "I just completed my 2nd pack and am stopping it. Everything has been fine, but I noticed a lot of hair loss today. Thinning. I knew my hair was feeling like I had less, but today I noticed I can actually see my scalp in some areas. Unfortunate because I’ve had no other side effects."

For Birth Control "This birth control was alright for the first few months and then I started getting my period every two weeks, which wasn't a huge problem because I had zero interest in having sex anyway! I was so frustrated I finally stopped using it , switched to FAM got my sex drive back , and have regular periods."
