For Birth Control "So my provider put me on this birth control 2 months after I had my son. After about 4 days of starting the pill I have had heavy bleeding and severe cramps. It is now day 8 and my symptoms aren’t any better. I honestly am just upset my doctor didn’t warn me about the heavy irregular bleedings that this pill will cause, normally I have very light periods."

For Birth Control "Started this medication about 7 months ago. At first I loved it. The side effects were minimal and it completely ended my period. A few months in, I began to experience constipation. Then the bloating came. My eating habits haven't changed and I only put on 5lbs., yet my stomach is huge. It's uncomfortable and it's to the point where I'm so self conscious over it that I'm stopping the pill today. I look pregnant and my clothes aren't fitting properly. It's not a good look."

For Birth Control "I have been on Nora-Be for about two years now. I really love this birth control. I have tried a combo pill before but it made my migraines worse. I am happy to say that this birth control doesn't make my migraines any more severe, and I'm thinking it might even help control them. While on this my periods have lightened as well. Instead of the 7 or 8 days of heavy bleeding, I now bleed a little less over a span of 4 to 5 days. I get very light occasional spotting in between periods but nothing my normal underwear wouldn't catch. The effectiveness of this is very well also. I have not gotten pregnant in the two years I've been on it. I've even missed a couple of days of it after having sex. That's risky, so don't try it! But this stuff really works and I am beyond happy with it."

For Birth Control "I just stopped taking this birth control due to the negative side effects I have experienced. It caused me to have severe headaches every single day, mainly behind my eyes. I also felt moody and depressed. I would not recommend."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have fibroids and was given Nora Be to help with heavy periods. I’ve been on the pill maybe 15 years. It has made my periods at times non existent to random, but that never bothered me. Throughout these years I have had issues with weight gain and excessive hair shedding but never thought it was because of the pill (although living a vegetarian lifestyle with moderate excercise). I got off the pill to get pregnant and of course throughout my pregnancy. Interestingly, I immediately began losing a lot of weight and my hair never looked better. Now the great hair was due to the increase of blood flow due to being pregnant, but not the weight loss. At the end of my pregnancy, I weighted 30 lbs less than the start, even though the doctors had me on a high calorie diet. I got back on Nora Be after delivery and gained a lot of weight over the years. I never thought to look up other experiences until now. I think I will stop using Nora Be and see how it goes."

For Birth Control "I started this medication a few months ago and mentally, this pill is perfect for me! I’m not moody, no depressive episodes, no anxiety, nothing. Physically, it’s awful for me. I’ve gained 10lbs in a couple of months, I’m insanely bloated, I always have pressure in my lower abdomen and my my hair is thinning out like crazy! My hair comes out with ease in the shower; more than usual."

For Birth Control "I feel like I'm always having a period on this pill. One week I have cramps, then I start, one week free, then cramps again. I'm having a period every 2.5 - 3 weeks. Its ridiculous! Still having cramps, heavy periods, and I've gained 15 lbs in 2 years of being on it. I want to switch but with having a little elevation in my blood pressure they say it's the best pill for me. I hate taking it. I want to switch it go off completely.."

"I was worried about starting hormonal birth control because I didn't want to become all crazy with mood swings and such. However, I haven't had anything like that with Nora-Be. You have to take it at the exact same time every day, but for me that's easy, I just set the alarm on my phone. The only downfall is that I've broken out with acne on my chest and somewhat on my face, not very attractive, but a small price to pay for not getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "I'm a 16 year old girl who uses birth control for maintaining clear skin due to acne, nausea in the morning, and a heavy flow. I've tried many different kinds of pills and this one was by far the worst. I typically don't have too much acne (about 3 pimples per month, if that). However, when I started this pill I broke out all over my face. I have NEVER had this much acne before. I just picked up a new birth control today so hopefully when I start using this one the remaining acne on my face will go away. It's ridiculous."

For Birth Control "My experience with this pill has been okay but my periods do last longer now for about 8 days and I also spot in between which is very annoying. I also take the pill at the same time everyday. I don't think I'll be staying on this pill for to much longer."

For Birth Control "So, I was switched to this because I can't take estrogen due to migraines with aura. I was really hopeful this would be the pill for me after reading so many other reviews with similar issues and how great it is for treating symptoms. Unfortunately, I don't think that's the case for me. I am only on day 5 of my first pack, but I have had a constant headache since day 3 and my mood swings, anxiety, and depression are through the roof! I'm not going to just stop, but I will be talking to my doctor to see what alternatives there are for me. So happy for my fellow sisters who have found this product to be their perfect fit! It is really important to share how these medications impact our lives, but also to remember that this is science, not a one size fits all type of deal."

For Birth Control "Horrible experience with this medicine!!! Now granted, I didn't get pregnant so I guess you could say it was "effective". BUT the frickin mood swings that go along with it!!! I was constantly worried about EVERYTHING. I would go from being in a great mood to down in the dumps depressed within minutes. I would get so frustrated I would *embarrassingly* almost punch my husband during any tiny argument. I also had a headache almost everyday. I have noticed a lot of reviews mention weight gain, I can't say I experienced that per-say but I do notice that after a couple of weeks off of it I have stop craving carbs as much. Good luck to ya if you do try this medication. Just monitor moods"

For Birth Control "I absolutely hate this birth control. I have only been taking it for one week and already I'm experiencing bleeding. I have taken the pill at the same time every day (I have my alarm set) so I'm not sure of why I'm already bleeding. I'm not cramping so I suspect that this is what is referrred to as breakthrough bleeding. I don't know for how long I will bleed as I've already had my monthly cycle for this month prior to starting the pill. I have yet to experience any other symptoms related to the pill that I know of but I will definitely switch to another pill as soon as possible. Some may be totally unphased with irregular bleeding but I'm not."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started Nora B , took 4 daysand noticed heavier period, horrible bloating. I have a heavy period due to fibroids so was trying this to reduce period. This made my period even heavier! Horrible painful cramps even with ibuprofen and huge clots, I had a very big clot and felt really shaky, horrible like the flu. I went to the ER! Pretty much saying I felt like rubbish from anemia, but I've had anemia a long time and just figured out I had it, always felt ok, not this horrible. Was afraid to quit taking it so took two more nights and last night horrible cramping, hot and cold flashes so bad, felt like the flu and could not sleep. Noticed pains when I first started it, around ovary area. 2nd day was a headache, not bad, just abnormal and felt rubbish. Stopping today after 6 days. Going to obgyn in a few days. I will not try hormones ever again, Wasn't on any for 15 years."

For Birth Control "After having my first son I went on the mini pill because I was nursing him. I was on it for about two years and the side effects were minimal. However, I'm on it again now while breastfeeding and I've noticed a lot more side effects. The facial hair growth is ridiculous. I have to pluck my chin like once a week. I suspect it's also causing my moods to change. I feel manic depressive. I go from feeling great to feeling suicidal within the same two hour period. Overall, it's doing what it's supposed to do. I haven't gotten pregnant. But maybe it's not worth it. Tracking my period and avoiding not ovulation really isn't that hard."

For Birth Control "So my periods have been really irregular the last couple of years. My dr prescribed Nora-BE. I started my period two weeks after starting the pill and am still experiencing heavy bleeding after 9 days. I guess this is one of the possible side effects but I'm going to follow up with my gyno. Anyone else experience this?"

For Birth Control "After being on a combination pill for almost 8 years my doctor wanted me to switch to a progestin pill due to the fact that I have a liver condition, while I protested I switched. As soon as I switched the first day I got acne, and the second I started to get major headaches all day that lasted until end of the pill. The fourth day period started with HEAVY bleeding like never before with huge clots, bad cramps, and crazy mood swings and depression. I called immediately to switch back to the combination pill as soon as possible. I might just be a bad case, but I'm just putting this out there to let others know it wasn't effective for my case."

For Birth Control "Horrible birth control. I can't take regular birth control due to having breast cancer in my 20s. So they gave me this...severe cramps from the beginning and horrible back pain. It made me miserable, some say to wait it out but I stopped it in the first week. I would rather run my risk with regular birth control than to ever take Nora be again."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "34 yo; overweight; pcos: I went to the doc for bc because my pcos was causing abnormal bleeding again. I wasn't prescribed a combo pill because I've had migraine before and was assured Nora-Be would stop the prolonged bleeding I was experiencing. Nope. My flow increased dramatically on day 3, I've had stronger cramps than I've ever experienced before, my whole body is swollen (feet and legs especially), my mood and energy has plummeted, and my frustration has increased After much research I've discovered that the progestin norethindrone is the worst kind for pcos."

For Birth Control "HATE HATE HATE HATE this pill. I had to get on this because my bp was a little high on 2 of my visits. No one seems to have any real answers to my questions. Nurses just say the same thing i read online. No schedule so you can have period 2x a month or none at all. Could last 5 days or longer. You never know when you are truly off your period. i have been on for i guess you can say 2 months cause this is my 2nd pack that i am almost finishing. Imagine my surprise when i go out to movies and use the restroom theres blood on my panties. What a way to end date night. Does anyone know of any other progestrin only pill that is more regulated?"

For Birth Control "Struggled to find a good pill for almost 2 years to avoid having to get an IUD, and I think I finally found the best option for me. I've been on two different combined pills before the mini pill, and it would only take about a month before side effects got bad. The worst side effect I've experienced with this pill is the mood swings. Other than that, my periods have been very light, and I don't get huge blood clots anymore. I struggle with PCOS as well, and this definitely has helped. I haven't had any irregular bleeding; the worst has probably been my period coming two weeks early. Would definitely recommend to anyone whose body reacts negatively to the combined pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I used this pill for 4 months due to experiencing abnormal spotting/bleeding. Th pill did not work and I spotted everyday when I wasn’t on my period. My period also lasted for 7-11 days. It was the worst experience I had with birth control. I finally had to agree to get the IUD; hoping it works, day 2. I would not suggest Nora b if you are experiencing abnormal period/spotting."

For Birth Control "I've been on Nora-Be for about a year now and there are a few things I can say. The first one is I am so happy to have found a birth control that (for me) has very little negative side effects. With that being said there are two things I've noticed a few months into taking this, one is I have noticed an increase in pimples and my skin has gotten a bit more oily and the second one is my body hair (underarms, legs especially) seems to be growing much faster. All in all these side effects barely bother me in comparison with what I've had to deal with on other birth controls."

For Birth Control "I started taking Nora after I had my daughter. I started Nora because I decided to breastfeed. It's been 3 months and I bleed like 26 days out of the month. I HATE IT! Major weight gain, I'm a few pounds away from my pregnancy weight at 8 months. I have never been this heavy and I'm so uncomfortable. I decided to stop taking it yesterday :("

For Birth Control "The worst birth control ever. Please read reviews and don’t be a know-it-all like me 10lbs, 100 mood swings, and 12 day periods later. This is by far the most awful experience I’ve had on birth control. I was encouraged to use this progesterone only because because of my severe migraines and to prevent pregnancy. I would rather have the migraines and another baby than be on this pill. A man must’ve created it because it literally turns me into angry fat mommy and spouse. Beware you’ve been warned!"
