For Gynecological Conditions "I was prescribed Cytotec following a failed IUD insertion. Because I'm small and have never had kids, they couldn't get my cervix to open enough to place the IUD (Kyleena). I took one the night before and one four hours before my appointment. I had no side effects other than maybe minor cramps, but I took some ibuprofen before bed. I was worried after all the reviews I read online about vomiting, bleeding, etc. But I was totally fine on it. It made the second try for the IUD insertion so much easier and less painful. I know there is some research saying it doesn't help with IUDs but having experienced attempted insertion without it first, I can tell you it made a huge difference."

"I have severe nausea and stomach pain. Before taking this medication I was having to take ondansatron and Stemetil almost every day sometimes needing injections. Now I take cytotec and I only need the other drugs 1-2 times a month."

"I received Cytotec both times with my pregnancy when I was being induced at 41 weeks. I love that little pill. It worked amazing for me both times! First time baby arrived 14 hours after the first dose (took 3 doses). And the second time baby arrived 6 hours after the first dose (only took one dose)."

"Hi ladies. I had an abortion yesterday (4 weeks & 4 days). I took 4 Cytotec 200mcg (Misoprostol combined) at 9:30 am under my tongue as told by my doctor (symptoms: shivers and cold sweats only for 45 minutes). At 11:30 am, I took 2 more pills (symptoms: period-like cramping and hot flushes tiredness only for 20 minutes). At 1:30 pm, I took the last 2 pills with contractions every 30 minutes. At about 5 pm (4 hours later), I felt something pushing out. I ran to the bathroom and felt a big blob - 2 sacs came out attached to each other. I didn't know it was twins as it was shown on my scan. My symptoms are still continuing but no bleeding at all. I only bled for an hour, very very light, after the sacs came out. I will be back at the doctor in 2 weeks for a checkup and scan."
