For Nausea/Vomiting "I am 15 weeks pregnant, and have been fighting hyperemesis since week 10. I obviously don't want to take ANY medicines while pregnant, but the risk of not eating and drinking has become much worse. I've had 3 I.V.'s. I tried Unisom with B6, Zofran, even Phenergan. Nothing touches the vomiting. Reglan is the only medicine that will stop the vomiting AND allow me to eat and drink. I take it only when I'm totally desperate, but it is a miracle."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I was 2 months pregnant and losing weight. My Ob|Gyn prescribed Reglan and since then my life changed. After two weeks of taking it, I woke up with a panic attach. The first one I ever had. I emailed my doctor, and she said, it’s normal you are "hormonal” the symptoms started with that panic attack then I was afraid of the dark, I was unable to be alone, lack of sleep, my brain thinking extremity fast, no connection between my body and brain. My appetite started to disappear and I had one moment of clear thinking and went to the ER. The doctor told me I had Akathisia induced by Reglan. When that happened my self confidence, character, independence and happiness were gone. To make this story short, I saw a Psychiatrist, Attended therapy, Yoga, and what I believe saved me, acupuncture! My parents moved to my house to stayed with me, I retrained my brain and the panic attacks started to disappear."

For Gastroparesis "Reglan along with zofran almost cured my nausea and allows me to eat! The Reglan is great because I can eat and not feel so nauseated I’m going to throw up half way through. Makes me feel as if I can work through full huge meals. For me those medications for Gastroparesis are 100/100"

For Nausea/Vomiting "I've been suffering from nausea/vomiting due to my pregnancy. At the Emergency Hospital I was prescribed to take Reglan 10mg. Bought the medicine and afraid to take it, took me two weeks to finally try them due to horrible reviews I read online. This medicine stopped my vomiting and to my surprise never had any side effect on me."

For Nausea/Vomiting "Don't ever take Reglan. It is an old school antipsychotic that was given to severely ill patients such as schizophrenics. It's like Haldol. It blocks dopamine receptors and can cause movement disorders. These uneducated, idiot doctors that hand these out for headaches and stomache conditions, should lose their licenses. It's disgusting. NEVER take them.."

For Gastroparesis "This medicine is a blessing for me. I have gastric paresis and I also have Crohn's disease so I have had nausea. I have taken Reglan for a long time on and off and it is wonderful. I personally feel it gave me back my quality of life. If I feel sick or before I eat I take it and I do not get sick. I have had NO side effects. I just feel so much better. I feel normal again and I know other people who take this medicine and they feel better also. I usually take 3 - 5mg a day.. it depends .. sometimes I just take 1- 10mg a day."

For Migraine "I am so relieved to find out that it I am not alone with these reactions to Reglan. I had a similar reaction once before so this time I begged them not to give me the Reglan but they reassured me the medication wasn’t the issue. I pulled out my IV and checked myself out. Why isn’t this kind of reaction known of in the ER?"

For Migraine "I went to the local quick care emergency room with a severe headache and pain. I was having nausea as well. They came in and gave me a dose of IV reglan and within seconds I was freaking out trying to pull my IV out and yelling that I needed to get out of there. I was dizzy, disoriented and felt like I was on some serious drugs. I was having severe anxiety and I felt like my heart was going to explode. I have never reacted this way to any drug and it was a terrifying experience. I would not recommend this POS medication to anyone please be careful especially if you have preexisting anxiety!!"

For Nausea/Vomiting "If you have any sort of anxiety disorder, panic disorder, or really any mental health issues, do not take Reglan! I was first given this medicine through an IV at the ER, and it didn't bother me. When I started taking it at home, after my 3rd dose, I had the most severe reaction to it. My blood pressure was off the charts, my heart rate was sky high, I had a rash on my chest. I was dizzy and lightheaded; I could've passed out at any second. My husband took me to the ER, and they did say I was having severe side effects/allergic reaction to it. Please be aware of the dangers of Reglan!"

For Gastroparesis "My doctor put me on 10 mg Reglan last week for suspected gastroparesis. I agree with others that the side effects definitely outweigh the potential benefits of this medicine. Within an hour of taking it, I become extremely drowsy/weak and wanting to go to sleep. I know that I would never be able to take this medicine before driving. Then last night, three hours after taking it, I began to hallucinate and was afraid to fall asleep. When I did fall asleep, I recall having weird dreams. So, I decided to stop taking Reglan."

For Migraine "Had headache for 4 weeks. Very severe. Tried everything OTC. Went to ER. Dr gave migraine cocktail with Reglan and Benadryl. I weigh 130 5’6. I immediately started feeling ridiculous anxiety shaking uncontrollable. Short of breath feeling like I was going to pass out and my heart rate was dropping. I felt like I was going to die. I couldn’t even talk to my husband on the phone. Wanted to rip out the IV. I actually stopped the IV and hit button for help. They had closed the door and I get like severe panic. Once the IV was done they gave me Valium which helped a little sent me home. Still had the headache slightly. Have some side effects in the evening and now today. How long does it take to wear off. Awful awful experience"

For Nausea/Vomiting "On April 28, 2020 I went to the ER for gastrointestinal problems due to bloating and nausea. The ER doctor injected Reglan in my IV without telling me the side effects of the medication. After she injected meds, I started to feel anxious, antsy, and I wanted to rip my Iv out of my arm. I couldn’t pick my phone up to call anyone. I felt I was going to die and lose control. This meds is no good."

For Gastroparesis "I was diagnosed with SMA [Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome ] syndrome. I had surgery to help correct it, but from years of being misdiagnosed because SMA is very rare in someone like me, my esophagus paid the price due to being obstructed for so many years. I have very little motility. My dr put me on Reglan following my surgery to aide with digestion. Shortly after taking it, I felt extreme fatigue. As the days went on, my anxiety level increased. I have never been a person with anxiety, so this was rare for me. I constantly had people asking me, "What's wrong". My thoughts were racing all the time. The only thing I could attribute it to was Reglan. I told my doctor, and he said to discontinue use. After a few days of being off the medication, I began to feel like myself again. If it works for you great, but if you are experiencing any of the things I mentioned I would quit taking the medicine."

For Migraine "This drug is horrible! I went to the emergency department due to a post-covid migraine that was so bad, I thought I might be having a stroke. They put this drug in the IV to help with the nausea. I’d never had it before and wasn’t told the potential side effects. Within ten minutes of starting the IV, I became agitated and began thinking of harming myself. I had no idea it was from the drug and only knew that I needed to leave the hospital so I could harm myself. Of course I did not tell anybody that! I just told them that I was feeling better and needed to leave right away. A nurse came and removed the IV so I could leave, and within minutes the intense thoughts and agitation subsided. I didn’t know what had happened to me until I got home later on and looked up the side effects of this drug. Even worse, if I had completed suicide, everybody would have thought it was me and not because of this nightmare drug. Terrifying to think how many this has happened to. Please stay safe."

For Gastroparesis "Been on metoclopromide 10 mg (Generic replan)3x daily for over 10 years for GP. When I don’t take it my nausea is so bad I cannot eat. I cannot function without it. I have tried most common nausea meds, and it’s the only thing that helps! I’ve had developed the hand twitches from taking 10mg 3 times a day. But I found by taking a 1/2 pill every 4-6 hours keeps my nausea under control and no tremors"

For Gastroparesis "Went on Reglan 5 mg 4x day for severe vomiting and weight loss from gastroparesis. Initially started to feel relief after the first few days, after 5 days I was able to keep food down and ceased to vomit for the first time in months. By day 7 the Tardive Dyskinesia symptoms started with leg twitching, lip smacking, and neck immobility. Thankful the Dr. had told me that Benedryll was the antidote and the symptoms went away after a day. So annoyed that I experienced these side effects cause it WAS working for the gastroparesis, but not worth having a life long Tardive Dyskinesia."

For Migraine "I wouldn't even give this drug a 1. I came to the ER last night for severe head and neck pain and this is what they suggested giving me in an IV. Reglan and Benadryl. I had this once a year or so ago and had a terrible reaction and insisted I didn't want the IV. However I ended up letting them talk me into it and got it. Within 5 minutes of getting the IV, I felt anxious, trapped, paranoid, like I was going to die. I had to page the nurse like 3 times to come take th IV out. I just wanted to go home. I ended up pacing and walking 20 laps around the hospital with a nurse. They ended up talking me into allowing them to give me Ativan and more Benadryl to reverse the Reglan. I truly felt like I was going to die."

For Nausea/Vomiting "This was given to me as an IV and I felt restless and anxious. I had hallucinations and unbelievable depression and emotional pain. I thought I went crazy and had suicidal thoughts. I was depressed for a month after that. I couldn't tell you if it worked because I was too busy arguing with myself on whether I was crazy. I am one of those people who never thought suicide was an answer to anything, but this medicine made me believe it was the only answer. "

For Gastroparesis "I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis back in May 2019 and was put on Erythromycin first. I still had early satiety, vomiting, severe nausea, and lack of appetite so my GI put me on Reglan. I take 5mg Reglan, 3x daily before meals and as needed for nausea & vomiting. I alternate Zofran, Phenergan, and Reglan constantly thru out the day so I can keep my nausea under control & vomiting to a minimum. I've been on Reglan for about 6 months and haven't been hospitalized for malnutrition, dehydration, vomiting or nausea since starting it. My GI hopes to eventually cut back on the amount of Reglan I take but so far, I've gained weight, can eat most days, and am able to keep food down. If you're struggling with Gastroparesis, I highly recommend Reglan. Oral & IV Reglan has saved my life & staved off any feeding tubes."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I’m in my first trimester and was prescribed reglan 3x a day for my severe nausea. I literally took a dose this morning at 8am and haven’t taken another one since. This pill is awful. I have been on it for a week and have experienced anxiety, insomnia, nightmares, and STILL nauseous. I would take it and feel like I had to get up and move around, I was antsy. I’m so glad I found this forum so that I know I’m not going crazy. Please, if you have nausea ask the doctor for a different medication."

For Gastroparesis "I have gastroparesis due to what they think is Vegas nerve damage from funduplication in 2017, symptoms started 2 years later. I almost starved to death, it was the worst thing I've ever been through. Nothing they tried worked until Raglan. I was very scared to take it due to the stories I've heard, but It has saved my life!! It has helped me so much, I actually keep my food down and the horrible reflux is gone when taking Raglan. I'm so grateful for this medication. The only side effect I have experienced is vivid, sometimes bad dreams. I'll take the dreams over constant vomiting!"

For Migraine "Anytime you go into an ER with a migraine the doc will automatically try an avoid real meds and instead says we're gonna try reglan which has a sedative effect and then add Benadryl and knock you out, turn off the lights and close the door for Dark and quiet. Good thing for any kind of headache. About thirty minutes later the doctor rushes in flips on the light and says how's the headache? At thirty minutes of sleeping your just starting to hit REM. You're groggy from the sedative effects therefore not thinking clearly so you answer like um ok I guess. "Great lets get you outa here." On the way out as you're waking up you realize the pain is still there but too late. Reglan is great for the Doctors but does nothing for the patient."

For Gastroparesis "I have read all the reviews and they are terrifying to say the least but I suffer from gastroparesis and was put on this 3 x a day. I cut it back to basically only taking it whenever I start feeling "funky" (nausea, vomiting, etc.). It works fine for me. No side effects. Just take it when I need it which, controlled with diet I may take 5mg Reglan 3x a week. Works great for gastroparesis patients."

For Migraine "I went into the ER with severe Migraine and I was given what they call a migraine cocktail. I told them before I was given the medication that I suffered from Anxiety disorder. They did not tell me that Reglans side effect was anxiety. As soon as the nurse injected my IV I felt a horrible anxiety attack, it lasted for hours. I felt so anxious and wanted to run out of the hospital. Please make sure you know what you’re getting. I’d rather have a horrible headache than that. This medication is dangerous"
