"I am a first time birthcontrol user and I wanted a more natural pill. I have been taking Taytulla for almost a year now. The only symptoms I noticed, after I first started, was occasional nausea, headaches, and random spotting. Now I don't notice and side symptoms and I don't have a period unless I don't take Taytulla for a week. Even after missing a week, I didn't experience any side affects again. Just that my painful period came back. I'm not entirely sure that this bc doesn't affect my emotions/moods because I have had a life changing year. All in all I love not having painful cramps or periods anymore and feel safe."

"After being on Loestrin for 10 years my OB switched me to Taytulla in July and it’s now mid October and I have gained 20 pounds on a near perfect diet, with weight lifting and cardio 5-6 days a week with no changes to lifestyle except this awful pill. I’d rather have a period every 2 weeks than feel like this. Also have seen changes in my mood and acne which I haven’t had since I took accutane 6 years ago. 10 packs of Taytulla is now in the garbage where it belongs."

"This birth control seemed great. Started it in June to control endometriosis and had very few problems with mood etc. It completely stopped my periods. About 3.5 months after starting this pill I started having MASSIVE hair loss. Clumps of hair falling out, nothing slowing it down at all. After reading another similar review I decided to stop the the birth control pill to see if it could be the cause. Within 3 days of stopping the BCP my hair loss started to dramatically slow. I had a lot of hair to begin with, I've lost probably 40 percent of my hair. Would really suggest trying another pill."

"I was happy on TriSprintec for years but then experienced persistent vaginal dryness. My doctor said it was probably hormonal and switched me to Taytulla. Now 2 months in, my dryness seems much better. I had minor spotting the week before my period (which is normal when you switch birth control) and an extremely light period during the non-active pills. I lost about 5 pounds. I had my first episode of BV ever during/after my first period on Taytulla but my doctor said it's probably not related to switching pills. My skin didn't break out. My mood and anxiety levels feel unchanged and I have had mild-moderate anxiety on and off in the past. My sex drive also seems good- maybe even a little higher on this pill. Overall, I am extremely happy with Taytulla. Everyone is different so don't be afraid of negative reviews. It might take a few different pills before you find the right one for you. Be patient and trust your doctor- not necessarily everything you read on the internet."

"I have only been on Taytulla for 5 days and I had a major emotional breakdown today and realized my anxiety has been getting worse and worse daily! Today was the worst I have ever been and usually I'm a pretty calm soul! My husband said you need to get off that BC immediately. I have had a tubal and was given samples of this to try to control my periods which are irregular and usually last 2 weeks. I'd rather have a 2 week long horrible period then put my family through me acting the way I did today. I'll be flushing the rest of these samples. Back to the drawing board doc."

"If you have an anxiety disorder do not take Taytulla birth control. I have it and taking the first pill my heart rate increased, I was shaking sweating and felt really bad. Probably it works for people without an anxiety disorder. But it is not for me!"

"My side effects on Taytulla are depression, uncontrollable emotional swings, irritable, weight gain, random periods, headaches, appetite change, cramps, weird discharge, and fatigue. My insurance covered most of the prescription. It still came out to $60 a month. This drug is not worth the money or your time."

"I know this birth control has had some rocky reviews, but I swear when I say it changed my life. After being on birth control for four years I started having a period that wouldn't stop. I underwent exploratory surgery, tried many different birth controls and nothing was helping or giving us answers as to why. I have severe ovarian cysts that start forming immediately if I am not on birth control, so I have a choice of finding a birth control that works or being in and out of the hospital in severe pain and rupturing cysts. Finally my gynecologist suggest Taytulla. I was skeptical because after trying five different birth controls I was losing hope. Two days after starting Taytulla my constant bleeding stopped."

"This birth control is absolutely terrible. I was prescribed Lo Loestrin Fe about 6 months back for excruciating cramps, but did nothing so I was prescribed Taytulla recently. I cramp almost all the time now, my breasts are tender, I get sharp, stabbing pains in my lower abdomen, uncomfortable back pain, I have SEVERE chest pain (especially at night), and overall, I've just been feeling really down. It's caused me to gain so much weight as well; in fact, I've gained almost 5 pounds THIS WEEK! The only good thing about this medicine is the fact that it cleared my skin. Everyone has different experiences though, but mine was awful. I do NOT recommend this medicine."

"Taytulla is the third birth control I've tried and I love it. I barely get a period anymore (light spotting) which is great for me because I used to experience really heavy bleeding and awful cramps. I've experienced some changes in appetite but with no weight gain, my anxiety hasn't worsened (a severe side effect of another pill I was on), and my cramps are relatively non-existent. I plan on continuing to use this birth control for a long time."

"I started this two months ago and at first was apprehensive with the great or horrible reviews. People either loved it or hated it. Luckily for me i am quite fond of it. It has helped my acne and overall skin. I did have slight breast tenderness and growth the first month (from a small B to a large B sometimes C). Period wise my periods r shorter and cramps aren't as bad but not none existent. I have had slight weight gain (120-124). Overall I really like this birth control it has done its job in not pregnant!"

"I've been taking this birth control for a couple of months and it has been an emotional rollercoaster. Shortness of breath, nausea, weight gain, horrible menstrual cramps, periods in between periods. Its been awful.. I would not recommend this pill to anyone."

"I was almost too scared to try taytulla after reading the horrific reviews, but I’m on month three and Taytulla has been working WONDERS!! I switched from a very high dosage birth control and I was really scared my body would go whacky on this. My only side effects have been acne and more frequent headaches around the time of my bleed within the first two months, but it’s gotten so much better. My periods are really light and painless. My mood is so much more stable, my anxiety has decreased, I feel a lot more full of life and energy! This pill is the one for me. Everyone’s body responds to these medications differently, so don’t let bad reviews scare you away from giving this pill a try. So far it has worked wonderfully me!"

"I started taking Taytulla 2 weeks ago to help prevent more ovarian cysts from popping up. There is not one thing I've liked about this pill. I get TERRIBLE headaches and nausea almost constantly, I've broken out in acne all over my face, I have been suffering with terrible depression/anxiety/lack of interest in anything, and fatigue. I forgot to take it one night and the next morning I woke up with super heavy bleeding. I know the body will react when starting any new medicine, but this is miserable. Would not recommend, ladies!"

"I started taking this birth control around a month and a half ago, I'm also in a relationship and ever since I've started taking it I have been almost constantly overthinking everything, having anxiety, being extremely sad and upset, and crying for no reason. This pill has also started to give me acne again. With all of these side effects (the mood swings being the WORST and most prevalent) I need to stop taking it. I am typically a very very happy and outgoing girl, but ever since taking this I have been a hormonal mess. I don't want this birth control to be the reason I am overly emotional with my boyfriend and constantly creating problems that aren't there. Would not recommend."

"I was put on this pill by my obgyn for my extremely painful and irregular periods and because I’m going off to college soon. This is the first time I’ve ever taken any form of birth control so I didn’t really know what to expect. I took the pill for a little over a week and a half before stopping because I started feeling some extreme side effects. I was having severe anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts to the point where I had to be prescribed anti-anxiety meds to get me through the day. I couldn’t eat or sleep and some days I couldn’t even pull myself out of bed. I ended up losing about 10-15 pounds. This was the scariest and darkest moment of my life, it felt like I would never get better. It took me months to actually feel like myself again. I definitely do not recommend this pill to anyone, there is better options out there for you."

"Love this pill. Boosted my sex drive, lightened periods, no breakthrough bleeding, no weight gain (I’ve actually lost weight), no anxiety/depression. It’s awesome. Slight side effect of breast tenderness- but this pill is the ONE for me."

"I took Taytulla for about 2 months before I started to experience INSANE vaginal pains. Pains that felt like a UTI. I was 18 and felt like I had a UTI every single day. I was in constant pain and my sex drive completely ended due to not wanting to enhance the pain. After about 2 and a half months in I stopped taking it. The pains lessened slightly but were still there. I've gone to countless doctors for these pains and I've had multiple different diagnoses. After consulting a urologist, she determined my digestive organs aren't working together. This is an effect of Taytulla that I live with every day. Now I have to take Flomax and a laxative every day just to have normal functioning organs and no pain. After doing my research I believe its because of such high dosages. Taytulla has completely ruined my body to the point where I can't function without pills. These side effects are still around after almost a year, and will be around likely for the rest of my life."

"I started taking it because I had ovarian cyst ruptures and the pill stopped them. I got severely depressed and lost a majority of my hair. I made the decision to go off of it after a year and a half and I definitely see results. My mood is fantastic and my hair is growing back at a fast rate. Definitely want to warn people about the side-effects if this pill."

"I have been taking this medication since October (now it is early January) and since October I have been depressed and have anxiety and panic attacks. Then the light bulb turned on in my head that this all started since I started this birth control and did not realize it til my mom told me. I have been off it for a few days and so far so good."

"I’ve been on Taytulla for about 8 months now and let me tell you. It’s been a roller coaster ride. My original birthcontrol I was on I never had any side effects or anything wrong except from gaining a little bit of weight. The doctor switched my birth control to Taytulla and it’s literally been the worse thing ever! I am a very happy person and this pill made me extremely depressed and also my anxiety went skyrocket and thru the roof! I thought I was like this cause I went thru a breakup after 4 years but no! After reading the reviews it all makes sense. I am definitely stopping the pill and do NOT recommend Taytulla to anyone!"

"I've been taking this pill for almost 3 years now and I'm quite happy with it. Overall, the results have been great. My adult acne is gone. I don't suffer heavy periods where I have to sleep with a towel under me at night. I don't have to skip work because my period cramps are so painful. The horrible PMS irritability has subsided for the most part. As for the side effects: - Gained around 10lbs initially (which I've since lost) - My boobs have gotten slightly bigger (a plus for me!) - My hair isn't as curly as it used to be. I've heard this can happen during pregnancy so that would make sense that it happens with birth control since it tricks your body into thinking you're pregnant - Lower sex drive - No periods - seems a bit unnatural but I'm not complaining Up to the first year, I did feel a little wonky and emotional at times. I'm not sure if this is the birth control to blame but I do think it's levelled out. Happy to be on this stuff and baby free!"

"Although Taytulla worked in preventing pregnancy, I've been miserable the past two months. Starting with nausea and sharp pains in my stomach, exhaustion, and no appetite, to wanting to eat everything in sight. Then, missing my period for the second round of pills and feeling a false sense of pregnancy so took two tests, both negative. I don't recommend this pill to anyone with anxiety or depression. Feelings of sickness heightened both."

"I absolutely love this birth control! I haven’t had any problem with acne (but I never did before I was put on the pill) and no pregnancy scares at all! I’ve been taking this pill for about 2 years so my body is definitely adjusted but it took about 3-4 months before my body was fully adjusted!!"
