For Birth Control "I was on Loestrin before it was discontinued and have been on minastrin for a little over a year now. Immediately starting, I stopped getting any sort of bleeding and started getting cyst zits around my second week of the pill each month (I never had any acne when I was a teen). This was tolerable until about nine months into the pill when I started getting large white heads all around my nose and chin. Bye bye minastrin!"

For Birth Control "I am 20 years old, and this is the first BC i have been on. I started this pill to regulate my period, my Gyno said it would help and this pill has minimum side effects. I started this pill the second day of my period because it was a sunday (that's what my gyno told me to do) Any way i have been on it for a month now and i am still bleeding every day like i am on my second day of my period (which is my heaviest day). I have very bad crampscramps, loss of appetite, and lowered my sex drive tremendously. I am married, so that is a very inconvenient. I honestly hate this pill because when i called my gyno, they said give it 3 months and thats its normal, which i dont believe."

For Birth Control "I am 41 years old. I started taking minastrin at age 37 because my periods were lasting almost 10 days. My periods weren't bad (no cramps, heavy bleeding, etc) but most of those 10 days my period was light and I wore a panyliner because a tampon was irritating. But extended use of pantyliner was irritating as well. I was also experiencing strong pms type mood swings as well. Despite my age, my doctor put me on minastrin. I maintain a healthy weight, eat well, non smoker, no other health conditions/concerns, etc. I have not had a period since I started taking it and it is wonderful :). I do get moody/irritable about a week before the placebo pills are taken. But I am aware of this and "check myself" (am I overreacting, etc?). "

For Birth Control "This is my 4th pack and I'm not loving it. I'm gaining weight, constant burning sensation on my right side, losing hair like crazy, no sex drive, and am now a hyperchondriac. I got on it because I was bleeding very heavy after 3 kids 2 weeks straight. I have to say, the plus side is, I do have my period between 2-4 days and is light. Is anyone experiencing what I'm going through?"

For Birth Control "I am 19 years old and because of how bad my cramps used to be I have been on birth control since I was 15. I was recently on sprintec and because of how high the dose was I started taking minastrin 24 fe.. I first read the reviews which I didn't like so much, but decided to try it anyway... I started this pill and immediately my boobs got about a size bigger( which I didn't need), I have been bloated for weeks and my hair has been literally falling out. I am not one who goes by reviews because everyone's body is different, but honestly this pill has been a nightmare, and I would never recommend this to anyone"

For Birth Control "Before I started taking this I was very easy going and rarely let little things get to me. As soon as I started taking it I got horrible mood swings, which have continued on and off ever since (I give my boyfriend all the credit in the world for putting up with it). Also immediately started gaining weight, about 30 lbs until I basically started starving myself. Plus my breasts grew from about a C to a DD and starting to feel saggy, which wreaks all kind of havoc on my back and stomach muscles. My periods have been very heavy and previous were always very light. It seems like the only days I'm not bloated are when I take the placebos. I only rated as high as I did because I haven't gotten pregnant :p (yet)"

For Birth Control "I used to take the regular combined pill and would OFTEN get terrible migraines with black auras. It was really scary. Now that I'm on this for a mini pill I really haven't gotten them. I never took any other mini pill but this is way better for me than all the reg pills. My periods are SO much lighter and shorter. Yes I have gained weight and emotional sensitivity. But now that I know they are just side effects I know I can deal with them. I would take this over the scary migraine and heavy fainting periods anytime. I really think it depends on the individual how you like it. Also I really think you need to chew it like it says. I read somewhere that the enzymes in your saliva or stomach or whatever need to break it down properly."

For Birth Control "I overall was not very happy with this. The reviews were horrible online but I decided to try it anyways. It did shorten and lighten my period a lot which I loved. But I had a lot of spotting before I got my period which was annoying. I did notice my acne get worse. But no emotional effect except being more hungry, I also noticed my breast get slightly bigger but as well as my belly area. I'm 17."

For Birth Control "I switched onto this pill from orthotrycyclen lo. The reason I switched was because ortho was making my acne increase and started making my periods very very painful. Minastrin started off okay for me, If you despise having a period this is for you, This pill was fine until about 6 months in. It started to make me nauseas and moody and SO anxious. At first I was worried I was pregnant and ended up going crazy and taking about 10 tests. I'm switching to another pill, but basically my biggest issue with this pill is the side effects I got at the 5/6 month point. I never had a period after the first pack which also added to my constant anxiety & paranoia. It was brown the first period and then nothing."

For Birth Control "I've been on Minastrin for a handful of years now (5+, I've lost track). Best things about it: it gets the job done, never had one pregnancy scare. Periods are light and mostly painless. Super simple to skip a period if I'm on vacation, no spotting during/after. The not so great: Definitely affects my mood (I'm more prone to anger and sadness when on the pill, and feel a sense of 'clarity' when I'm on the placebos), and I still get moderate PMS cramps. However. I take birth control for stress-free sex and controllable periods, so for me this medication is gold and the pros outweigh the cons."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 9 months. I am 29 and newly married. I thought I'd check and see if any others had sleeplessness and restlessness. Not sure if it is this pill or the big life change. Also I don't think I am depressed just super emotional. I can cry at the drop of a hat.. Seriously. My hubby doesn't notice that change but I do. Not sure how linked the sleeplessness and emotional tears are."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control for 1 year, and I really have no complaints about it. The only thing that bothered me in the beginning was that I would get so nauseated at night after I would take the pill, but after a month my body got use to it and I had absolutely no other problems. The only reason I am having to switch is because my insurance isn't covering it, and its a little to expensive. But I would recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "So, I've been on birth control since I was like 16 years old - I'm 24 now. I started taking Loestrin 24 fe for a while, which I loved! Then I tried out the Depo shot, that was cool as well. Got back on Loestrin 24 fe since it's holy grail for me! Never had any problems with this birth control. I stopped taking it for a while, then of course, it was discontinued. Now here's Minastrin 24 fe. Well, I began taking this medicine and would become so ill that I wanted to cry literally every day for about an hour. Not only that, but the mint taste makes me very nauseous to this day and it's been 6 months. I've lost all attraction to my boyfriend after starting this pill. IT SUCKS!"

For Birth Control "So far, so good! I recommend getting a few months of samples for anyone looking to try it out. I have had NO side effects whatsoever, and very light to minimal periods. No longer having spotting/breakthrough bleeding or ovarian cysts. Definitely recommend."

For Birth Control "perfect!!! in the first pack, my skin cleared up and there was no weight gain, and I had the lightest period of my life!!! four days, and very light. second pack was a little rough on my skin and I had gained five pounds, but by the third pack my skin was crystal clear again and I had lost the weight I had gained. still very light periods, and definitely not pregnant. I wish I could go back to this, but it stopped being covered by my insurance three packs in. if this is covered by your insurance, I hope this works for you because I would give anything to go back to this one."

For Birth Control "I was only on Minastrin a total of two months after switching from Beyaz (I only switched because my body was no longer reacting well to the Beyaz after having taken it for 8 years - I had increasing breakthrough bleeding). With Minastrin I have been getting regular migraines and had headaches every day. I gained 7lbs in the first month even though I'm active and eat very healthy. I've never had problems with my skin breaking out and since I've started taking this medication, I've had constant breakouts all over my face. I normally have no stomach issues but this also gave me random stomachaches. Everyone reacts differently to medications but this one was certainly not right for me. My doctor has me trying Sprintec now (fingers crossed)."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this pill for almost a year now (I had never tried any other birth control prior) and I've had no bad side effects. I've never had a problem with weight gain, and I haven't experienced any since I've been on the pill. No unusual mood swings. My skin cleared up dramatically. No terrible cramps anymore and my period has pretty much disappeared! Really wish I would have found this sooner!"

For Birth Control "Minastrin was a good call for getting me off of loloestrin. That pill was horrid. I ended up getting periods on time and they were light. Sadly, the past 2 months, my periods are disappearing. I had 2 pregnancy tests done. I take the pill right on time too. I rather have my period as a comfort of knowing I'm not pregnant. I also had an increase of rectal pains. I have endometriosis and this pill is way too expensive too."

For Birth Control "I stopped this pill 4 months ago and I still have side effects. When I was taking this pill, my anxiety and intrusive thoughts were horrible. I cried everyday and thought I was living a depression. Also, it gave me yeast infection 2 times and even after 4 months of stopping the pill, the yeast infections don’t stop!!!!! I never had this kind of infection before. Please, be aware of what you put in your body."

For Birth Control "Great pill - Minastrin 24 Fe it is the first one EVER to work for me. I had tried probably 15 others and always had break thru bleeding every day or throwing up. So I was so thrilled to start this one! Sadly my insurance doesn’t cover it and so I was paying out of pocket. I had a great price for awhile then that coupon expired and it cost me close to $200. A generic by Allergen became available for $100. But now I can’t afford it. So I am on nothing. With no birth control pill I have terrible periods that last a long time and horrible cramping. On Minastrin I had no pain, minimal bleeding and was very happy. I laugh at the review that says on it a week and gained weight... whatever! "

For Birth Control "I have been on many different birth control pills (Linessa, Diane-35, Yasmin, Lolo, Orthocyclen, Alesse, Seasonale, Trinessa) and this pill was by far the worst. I have endometriosis and this made my pelvic pain UNBEARABLE. I also have a litany of mood disorders and this made me feel blunt and emotionless one moment, and then extremely depressed, and then insanely angry the next moment. I've never had a birth control create such violent changes in me, and I've been on various BC pills for upwards of ten years. I felt like myself the day after I stopped taking it. That being said - BC works differently for everyone."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE!!! I was only on this pill (only birth control I've ever taken) and it was awful...a period every two weeks, awful cramps and mood swings, weight gain, and to top it all off A BLOOD CLOT IN MY LUNG! I don't smoke and am not over 35 (supposedly the only things that would trigger a serious reaction) so this is all the pill. I've been off of it for months and am still having issues. I have to be on a blood thinner indefinitely and live with the constant fear of a clot reaching my heart. Please DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL."

For Birth Control "I just very recently started this birth control, and I was very wary of it at first because my experience with Loestrin Fe was TERRIBLE. But ever since I've been on this pill it's like heaven! Loestrin made me super nauseous, very moody and angry, and completely killed my sex drive. Now that I'm on Minastrin 24 Fe, I feel completely normal! I'll admit, in the beginning I was slightly moody and I have noticed a slight decrease in sex drive, but nothing too major. Overall I LOVE this birth control and I'm so happy with how it worked out for me!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Lo Loestrin for 6 months and I love it. I ran out & had a sample pack of Minastrin and thought,"what could one month hurt? I'll save $25!" Stupid. Never again. I've been nauseous since the first pill, with daily stomach troubles. My breasts are so sore. But the worst is the anxiety/depression. I've started waking in the middle of the night with panic attacks and feel anxious pretty much 24/7. I'm going back on Lo Loestrin tomorrow. Minastrin & I are breaking up for good. We are no longer friends"
