For Birth Control "I was switched from Microgestin due to insurance (I was on that brand for a year and NEVER had any side effects.) The second I started Junel I turned into a different person. I'm just going to break down my symptoms by month: Month 1: nausea, two weeks of breakthrough bleeding, migraines, sore and swollen breasts Month 2: bloating, spotting, headaches, bowel problems, increased appetite Month 3: EXTREME anxiety and paranoia, worse bloating, mood swings, leg cramps, abdominal cramping Month 4 : lower back pain, uterine and stomach cramps, intense bloating, mood swings, even worse anxiety. Literally thought I was pregnant this month bc I didn't have any bleeding whatsoever and because my stomach hurt constantly. Do not take this pill if you have anxiety or depression. It has made me stress about pregnancy more than when I was relying on the pullout method. The ONLY plus side is that my withdrawal bleeds are super light and my acne (sorta) cleared up. I hate this medication."

For Birth Control "The 1st month on Junel Fe 1/20 was fine and the only side effect was breakthrough bleeding. 2nd month I had a panic attack where I experienced disassociation (I have never experienced anything close to this before) and intense anxiety. I figured that it was just the result of dehydration and stress but in retrospect I should’ve considered that my birth control may have been the cause. 3rd month I felt anxious, extremely depressed & hopeless, and had no appetite. I had times of disassociation which was frankly terrifying. This is not like me. Towards the end of my 3rd month I decided to stop taking birth control. I am four days off of it and have started to feel a bit better. My doctor told me that these symptoms stem from birth control. I suggest considering different options if you have a history of mental health issues. I know everyone’s body reacts differently so this is just my experience. I am sending you all love & sincerely hope this birth control works for you."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for 7 years and do not have complaints. I never experienced negative side effects and did not gain any weight. Before going on this birth control my periods were irregular and had been for 6 years. I can pretty much predict the hour I will get my period each month. My periods only last 2-4 days now and are very light. The only "problem" I have had is over the past few years I have skipped a few periods (about 3 or 4 a year). I talked to my OBGYN and he said that is nothing to worry about. Overall, I think it's a great birth control."

For Acne "I am currently half way through my 3rd month. I was on the NuvaRing which made my skin immaculate, but because it caused low libido I stopped. After 4 months being off of the ring, I started getting acne again. I finally decided to try birth control again to help with my skin issues and my doctor recommended Junel. My skin has gotten way worse than it ever was. I am getting acne on my back and neck as well. "

For Birth Control "I personally like this BC I tried the regular Junel 1/20 but because I'm iron deficient my dr recommended this one. The only downside I would say is that it gives me cramps, nothing crazy. But I don't usually get cramps so this was a change for me but they are mild nothing I couldn't handle. My skin is clear, it's made me lose weight in general. My sex drive actually gotten better. My period is super light last about 3 days (: I've been on this one for a month now with the regular junel 1/20 I was on it for 6 months and it was basically the same. I'm happy"

"I love Junel. I was switched to Junel after my previous birth control had me bleeding for 3 weeks at a time every month and I got really depressed and gained a bunch of weight. Now I am on Junel and I LOVE IT. I have lost 10 pounds my headaches and acne are gone, my depression has decreased, no more fatigue and I have yet to have a heavy period. I only have 3 days of light spotting and I must say my sex drive has finally came back since my last birth control completely diminished it."

For Birth Control "Hi, I feel compelled to write a review after my horrible experience with this drug Junel Fe 1/20. I’ve taken it for a year and have just stopped. The first month I was plagued with intense nausea and headaches, which subsided. After that I started having severe anxiety, panic attacks, mood swings, crying spells and chalked it up to several life changes (moving, wedding, etc.) However my condition worsened and I was at a therapist weekly who diagnosed me with depression. By this point I felt like a shell of my former self and decided to stop taking the pill as it’s the only medication I’m on. I’ve been off 2 weeks and can see notable differences in my temperament and energy levels. I can’t wait for it to completely flush out so I can be myself again. Please don’t take this drug as long as I did if you face any of the above."

For Birth Control "I was on Junel Fe 1/20 for 3 years and never had any issues with it. I then switched to the copper IUD and then paraguard IUD for 6 months which caused excessive hair loss for me and a hormone imbalance so I switched back to Junel 1/20. I've been on it for about 2 months now and the first week I had bad cramping but since then I have had no issues. My skin is clear, my moods are actually better, I've lost a few pounds."

For Birth Control "I have an existing history of anxiety but cannot put into words how terrible this pill made me feel. So anxious I would cry multiple times a day over NOTHING! Extreme anxiety and anger over the smallest things, followed by an emotional breakdown, a horrible pattern of self hate. Anxiety so bad I couldn’t eat, and when I did I’d have acid reflux. So emotionally sensitive it took nothing to send me over the edge. My vagina was so sensitive and dry it itched CONSTANTLY. So dry I couldn’t even have sex without lube which in turn gave me even more irritation. My vagina would swell randomly, I had brown sludge with chunks of pink tissue coming out of me the entire first month. Got bacterial vaginosis three times in the 2.5 months I was on this pill and had to go on antibiotics 2x. As soon as it would heal it would come back so easy. I have just switched to a lower estrogen pill and looking forward to seeing if I can get myself back again. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!!!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Junel fe for almost 3 months now and the only problem I’ve had was sore breasts. My period came the first month but the second month I only bled the first day and spotted throughout the rest of the 7 days. I also had mood swings the first month but after that I was fine."

For Birth Control "Switched from generic pill (on it for several years) to Junel FE after a computer error at GYN. Figured I would be fine as I never had any problems with the pill. Month 1 okay, months 2&3 no period and extremely on edge. Not pregnant, just no period. Switched back to generic and immediately felt better and got my period regularly again."

For Birth Control "On Junel Fe 1/20 for one month so far. My face acne cleared up, but then I got back acne, hoping it will go away.. Losing my appetite, feel like I'm eating just to survive. No weight gain yet. It hasn't affected my emotions like other pills have (yet), although I eat healthy and exercise 4-5 times a week. I think this helps with how your body responds to the pills hormones. Three periods in one month, that sucked. Mostly spotting. Hoping next month will be better. I will update this review. I think the pill is worth it so far."

For Birth Control "So I myself freak out and read all these reviews and that’s why I stayed off of birth control for like 7 years and have continued to suffer from PCOS (hope it’s not endo but we’ll see with time hopefully) and I finally did it and took the pill! I had no choice really. I had a severely painful ovarian cyst pop after sex (not my first time) and I decided it was enough of going to the hospital and suffering. I started this pill a week ago and I’ll update as much as I can .. so far I had some foggy days in the beginning and felt pretty weird but then it went away and the nausea has been on and off (which they say is normal) I do drink a lot of herbal tea already so that has probably been helping it (peppermint/etc) and now my only complaints are this random brown discharge today(first time kinda) and itchy/burning bumps/pimples that keep popping up everywhere the past few days. I do have sensitive skin already but I hope I get used to this pill. I am on the second week! Will report back soon"

For Birth Control "For me, this pill is bad. Yes, it's prevented pregnancy, but the side effects were not worth it when there are other good options on the market that work for me. Side effects: - depression and anxiety during pms - extreme emotional sensitivity/weeping for no reason - migraines all of a sudden - decreased sex drive I will never go back. Blisovi worked way better for me."

For Birth Control "I'm only writing this review because before starting Junel Fe I read so many horrible reviews, I wasn't even going to try them! But I did and I love them!! I use to take Karina and I hated themmmmm!! I love Junel no symptoms at all except for increased sex drive, so that's not a bad side effect... overall I love them... I guess everyone's hormones are different so you have to find what works for you..."

For Birth Control "Do NOT take this birth control. I’ve been having my period for a month ( which is normal when taking BC because it will eventually regulate) I have only been taking this for a month and a half. I have never been more depressed in my whole life. Crying three times a day. Extreme suicidal thoughts and fits of rage that I have never experienced. Thankfully I have a very patient boyfriend who knew this might be the side effects of the medicine, but I would seriously try any other birth control rather than this one. For some people it worked well, but I feel like it is a hit or miss. Definitely a miss for me. Just this morning I almost checked myself in to a hospital bc I was so sick of these deteriorating thoughts. I feel like I have no control over my mind. I’m getting it switched ASAP tomorrow morning, but please take this into consideration before you start taking this poison. I would not wish how I feel right now on my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Junel Fe 1/20 for 10 months, and it has sucked! When I first started taking the pill I had a period for like 10 days, and it was super heavy. My gynecologist put me on this for my PCOS, and it’s my first time ever taking birth control. This pill has made me over emotional, angry, and I cry like a lot. It has worsened my depression, and it also has made my hair grow back faster like underneath my chin. I’ve even noticed hair growing in places that it shouldn’t be. I get severe headaches and my heart races a lot on this medication. I am quitting this birth control, and I will not try any new ones. I do not recommend this birth control at all."

For Birth Control "Before I started this medication,I had read reviews of it and I was horrified. It's now been a year and 4 months that I've been on Junel Fe and I honestly haven't encountered any issues. Before I was on birth control, I was depressed, had anxiety attacks very often, always tired, had my period for at least 6 days and had a lot of cramping. I never had any issues with having acne. Ever since I started I feel like a whole new person. Zero anxiety attacks, no longer depressed, very light periods that last 3 days (at most), NO cramping at all, and still no issues with acne. I constantly see reviews that other people leave saying that they're constantly nauseous or having headaches or gaining weight, but I personally haven't had any of these issues. Although this medication doesn't work well for some people it works perfectly for me!! Don't let other reviews discourage you. I almost didn't start using this medication due to the bad reviews I had read. I'm also glad I'm not pregnant :)"

For Birth Control "I have been on June for a little over 4 years now. I never had any mood swings or weight gain and it cleared up my acne. I don't get my period ever- which I don't mind at all. Probably going to stay on Junel for a long time! I see a lot of bad reviews, but this is my honest opinion!"

For Birth Control "This birth control gave me the worst anxiety and turned me into a crazy person. Do not take it. Every time it was my off week, I became less anxious and felt so much better. I've been off it for a month now and I'm back to normal and no longer have terrible anxiety."

For Birth Control "My OBGYN prescribed this specific pill for me because I haven’t been on birth control since I was 19 ( I’m 25 now). He said it would be easy going for me because it’s basically the mildest form of BC I can take. My first month on the pill was rough, I felt so nauseous especially the hour before I’m suppose to take my BC. I had constant headaches & tender breast (the doctor warned me of that & said it should subside after the 1st month, it didn’t). My breast grew after the 2nd month on the pill, but my anxiety also heightened. I had 3 panic attacks during my 2nd month. I was thankful that my period was lighter. Haven’t had sex since I’ve been on the pill, I’d say it has lowered my sex drive only because it’s made me so depressed, anxious and forgetful that I don’t even think about sex. I’m too moody. 3rd month was awful and I hit a real low, I’ve become more critical of myself, and unhappy with everything in my life."

"IF U SUFFER FROM MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES LIKE DEPRESSION OR ANXIETY. DON'T TAKE JUNEL FE I started this a couple months ago to slow down my endometriosis bleeding and pains from it. Well the past few weeks I've been in a horrible state of mind. Dark thoughts, life doesn't seem worth living, high anxiety, and irritability. Yes it has slowed down my bleeding but I'm also experiencing vaginal dryness and nausea too. So I'm stopping this now. I already suffer from mental illness and this made it a thousand times worse. I'm glad I looked at these reviews cause I was wondering why I was feeling like this all of a sudden. Hope I helped someone else who is going through the same"

For Birth Control "Began using this in Jan 2019. Discovered I got hepatocellular adenoma on October 31, 2019 about 4.5x5cm. Never got pregnant but now I've got something else other than a baby growing inside me. . I don't recommend. Ladies, don't listen to men's needs just because they don't feel good in a condom. Tell them to man up and wrap their willy. "

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I just switched to this pill from one that made me gain weight (all to boobs and butt so I'm not reeeeeally complaining but still.) This is my first period with this pill, and I'm rejoicing. I've always had extra heavy periods, and they usually last 8-9 days, so it was basically hell. I had gotten used to sleeping on a towel I always ended up leaking onto my sheets and ruining them, and I was resigned to a life of painfully large super tampons. But today - I wore a regular tampon and didn't leak? And I can wear a regular pad and sleep without a towel? This is amazing and I love it. A "
