For Acne "I was prescribed Gildess FE 1-20 after a couples years of being on Nexplanon (the 3-yr arm implant) to help regulate my extremely irregular periods and random outbreaks of terrible acne. I'm 22 and have never had bad acne ever until I got the implant taken out and my hormones went psycho. I was literally all over the place emotionally and physically. However, while I have only been on this pill a few weeks, it has literally helped tremendously. My skin is almost completely cleared up and my period --so far-- seems back to normal. The only downside I'm experiencing is increased hunger almost all the time and a lingering tiredness that no amount of coffee seems to eliminate. Hoping these side effects minimize after prolonged use. thumbs up!"

For Birth Control "This BC took some getting used to, the first month I had an extremely long period. Some irregular bleeding here and there, but only 3 pound weight gain. Anxiety got better then got worse, and now I have pretty much no sex drive and I'm always angry. My emotions seem to be x10. I have random periods throughout the pack, looks like I'm having two periods this month. Some periods were really light, now they're getting heavier and longer. My acne has cleared up, and I have not gotten pregnant, or gained much weight."

For Birth Control "This drug is terrible. I was actually prescribed Junel (which I have taken previously with no problems), but my pharmacy doesn't carry that brand anymore, so they gave me Gildess instead. It's the same thing, right? WRONG. I've been on Gildess for 2.5 weeks now and I have never felt so consistently terrible in my entire life. I take the pill at night on a full stomach. I wake up in the morning with moderate nausea that lasts until well after lunchtime. I have headaches and abdominal cramping and gas ... oh the gas. By mid-afternoon my stomach is so full of air I look pregnant. I'm anxious, irritable, and on-edge all the time. It's literally the worst."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I've been taking Gildess for about 11 months now. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, so my periods are normally very far and few. I was prescribed Gildess to regulate my periods, but mainly to help with PMDD. Since taking Gildess, it has helped tremendously with my anger/depression. My mood swings are gone, but I've gained 40 pounds! One of the side effects of this med is weight gain and cravings for carbs and sweets. I like what Gildess has done for my mood, but I hate the weight gain. That may be a factor in me stopping this medication soon."

For Birth Control "I am 41 and I am peri-menopausal. My GYN prescribed Gildess fe 1/20 for me to "balance" my hormones. I have tried other bc pills in the past, including Gildess but had to stop them because of the crazy side effects. But this time when I tried it I was spotting, I got weird feelings in my head, I had back pains, flu-like symptoms, chest pain and terrible anxiety. I stopped taking it after about two weeks. I feel horrible! How long before I leaves my system?"

For Birth Control "I took Gildess 1/20 for a full year. Everything started out fine, but around the 7-8 month mark, my periods started coming in all over the place and my skin broke out like I was in middle school. I either had two periods a month, or none at all. I didn't notice any weight gain, but did experience occasional mood swings. Overall, it prevented pregnancy, but did not give me a regular cycle."

For Birth Control "This pill did tremendously help with my cramps and lighten my period. But I have thought I was losing my mind since I started it. Very depressed all the time, extreme highs and way more extreme lows, my skin has never broken out like it has since starting this pill, I've gained almost 40 pounds no matter how I cut back and exercise more I can't get rid of it (something I've never had a problem with), my hair is literally falling out, I'm so achy and sore all day everyday, and I don't even know what sleep is anymore. Funny enough I didn't connect any of these symptoms to this pill even though it all didn't start until after I started this pill, it was just another sleepless night on the net. I'll just deal with the cramps, not worth it"

For Birth Control "Does a good job at preventing pregnancy... But!!!!!! Gained a little weight and I CRY EVERY SINGLE DAY ! Makes me so emotional. Was on for 4 months decided I needed a new one. Also gave me some cramps and Breast tenderness the first month"

For Birth Control "I'm blown away by the bad reviews. However I fully believe every birth control affects people differently. This pill changed my life. I've had bad endo since I was 13. I'm 32 now. Bleeding to the point of not being able to leave the house and pain to the point a bottle of vodka was the only fix. Since I started this pill 2 years ago I haven't had a single period. No cramps! I still bloat near the end of my pack but not bad at all. No acne. Only negative side affect I think is slight unusual nausea but coming from awful endometriosis, it seriously doesn't even bug me. When I started it took a month for break through bleeding to stop. Body had to get used to it."

For Birth Control "I was on Depo shot for 6 years, no periods, no weight gain, all great. I then had to be taken off so I got the Mirena, still no periods but I was in constant pain so I had it taken out and started this pill about a month and a half ago. I've been extremely moody and irritable. My periods have been regular so far. I have noticed I'm starting to gain weight and bloat and it doesn't seem to be related to the period. I feel like a balloon. I've also been experiencing a lot of headaches and body/joint pain over the last couple weeks. I'm pretty miserable and will be switching to something else as soon as I can."

For Birth Control "Express scripts switched this one in place of my Microgestin FE 1.5/30. This has been the worst experience ever. I missed taking a pill by 2 hours and I had already began breakthrough bleeding and severe cramping. To where I had to leave the office at work and just lean over and hold my stomach. The absolute worst part is the depression. I'm crying about everything and getting upset with my boyfriend over nothing. I've only been taking this for two weeks and it's been a hell storm. I do not recommend this brand."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever been on! I am 31 years old and recently had the nexplanon removed. BIG MISTAKE!!! I never write reviews but this birth control is the DEVIL!! While on the nexplanon I never had cramps, bloating, breast tenderness, or horrible mood swings. Glidess I have all these symptoms plus paranoia, and depression. I have been taking these pills for a month and half and never have felt more insecure in my life. The weight gain is an issue as well, I gained 12 pounds within the 1st month. I realized that this birth control was making me feel crazy, anxious and not myself so I made an app.t for my OBGYN for a better option. I cant wait to throw these pills down the drain. Hope this is helpful."

For Birth Control "I have been on several different kinds of birth control. Pills, nuva ring, implanon, spermicides, condoms. All the hormones were too much for my body to handle, eventually I had to quit trying. I had my implanon removed after a year and a half of nonstop bleeding and suffering from severe vertigo and headaches, and depression. So I went to my doctor and expressed my concerns. She prescribed this to me and I was SO reluctant to take them. I honestly expected the worst. The first month was rough, not going to lie... My body was adjusting. I was dizzy and nauseous, a lot. But then.. It all stopped. My body regulated and I couldn't be happier with this choice! My period is on time every month and it is SUPER light the whole time. It's amazing."

For Birth Control "I'm 25 years old. I have never taken Any form of BC before. Well except condoms lol. Any ways.. I have always had irregular periods. I would skip a month or sometimes 2. I was always tired and would just get in a funk. Well the past 2 month's I have had 4 periods 2 weeks apart and they would last up to 8 or 9 days. Had tinder breast for almost the same amount of time.. Sometimes they hurt so bad I wanted to cry. I had enough... I went to my doctor and he prescribed me these.. Been on them for 2 weeks. I have been in a better mood and have more energy. I did wake up with a little cramping this morning and I had a little spot of blood in my undies but I'm fine now. Oh and my breasts stopped hurting... Yay thank the Lord."

For Birth Control "I have never written a review in my 21 years of life but I feel I should share my experience. About a little over a month ago I got on this pill. Not to brag but I have a decent happy life. The first couple of days I noticed no symptoms and was so happy.. out of no where i started waking up with migraines and breaking out.. I figured ok no big deal.. I didn't connect it with the pill. Next thing you know, I get upset and mad about literally EVERYTHING. Work..family.. boyfriend. My life was going downhill everyday.. depressing thoughts.. Finally my boyfriend and I put it together and figured out it was the birth control. I IMMEDIATELY stopped and thank god I am feeling better as the days go by. Not to mention everyday spotting! NOT WORTH IT"

For Birth Control "I've been on this for almost 2 years now. I don't get a regular period. I get one every few months and it's still just spotting, which can get scary. I do get very emotional once a month though, worse than I ever have before, and during that time I'm not really hungry and have constant migraines."

For Birth Control "I was put in this pill for more than one reason. I've always had irregular periods. I'm 28 and I've been having irregular periods since I was 12. Recently I found out I had a 6cm cyst on my right ovary and I was put on this pill to hopefully help that too. I was on this pill for a little over a week before I had to stop it from extreme mood swings to the point I could hardly function. I was crying all the time and a complete mess. Everyone reacts differently but it was awful for me. I'm now having to take anti-anxiety meds to help me get off the effects of this pill. Before this pill I have never had any problems with anxiety / mood swings. I posted this to tell everyone to be careful and listen to your body!"

For Birth Control "I'm 32 and have been taking GILdess for 3 months. My period has been light, although my acne spikes a little mid-cycle. My breasts are sore about half the time (which is typical for me.) I otherwise really like this pill and don't feel any different than when I'm not taking birth control."

For Birth Control "Oh eff this pill. First my Dr put me on Provera to do a medicinal D&C vs. a surgical on. That was a mess. So we discussed BC pills instead because that should have a more standard response. Well my body gave me two giant middle fingers. I've been bleeding for 19 days. I'm not just talking spotting. I use the Diva Cup, I'm shedding 1/4 oz - 1/2 oz every day. Pretty sure I'm anemic at this point.Oh and my acne is atrocious."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 2 years now and it gets worse and worse each month. I have experienced horrible nausea, headaches, mood swings and depression. I constantly have bleeding throughout the month and my period never comes when I'm supposed to have it. It is almost as irregular and heavy as it was when I didn't take the pill. I get extremely bad cramps and bloating aswell. Currently in the process of trying to switch to a new pill.. Very angry."

For Birth Control "Horrible pill. Went on it after getting my IUD taken out (it was giving me a period every time my husband and I had sex) and the doctor told me it would help me gain an appetite. Instead in the past 3.5 months I've gotten sick 5 times, had one missed period, and the worst period of my life after as a "catch up" one. I can't take the tiredness, heavy body and constant upset tummy any more."

For Birth Control "I definitely don't recommend this pill if you already have anxiety. It made my anxiety attacks much worse. Plus it gave me horrible acne, and I've never struggled with acne. Everyone reacts differently to BC, but just be aware when you decide to go with this one.."

For Birth Control "Made me moody mid cycle and really pms-y the week before my period. I lost my period for a while there and they tried me on this birth control to help it start up again. I didn't gain weight until about 6 months of taking it, I started to baloon up from 117-132lbs. I'm not very tall so it was noticeable. It made it hard to lose weight. It's been a week since I've stopped the birth control and I already feel less hungry and less puffy. Losing the weight will be no problem now I feel. This compared to others was much better, but not for me long term."

For Birth Control "I got switched to Gildess when they started shipping it to me. Ever since I've went from having a period for 3 days to hardly having one at all. I will spot a little once a month. I've also gained alot of weight. But I'm not positive it was all due to the pill or not. I have noticed low sex drove but I figured that just happened after getting married. Lol."
