Neutrogena Cream (emollients) "I just this product 3 days in row. Woke up day 4 with red burns on my face where wrinkle repair was applied. Very sore and irritating. I did have a low grade fever but did not put the two side effects together right away. I will be returning this product from where I purchased it. I will warn every one I know about this awful experience with this product. I guess I will learn to embrace my wrinkles."

CeraVe (emollients) "I am a 53-year-old with fair skin and I'm starting to notice more dark circles and dry skin and puffiness under my eyes. I did a search online and found good reviews for CeraVe Eye Repair Cream, but after using it for two nights, I noticed a HORRIBLE reaction. It made my under eyes all puffy and red, with elephant-like wrinkles and flaking. Clearly, I was having a bad reaction and stopped use of this product immediately. Days later, I am using a hydrocortisone topical cream and taking an antihistamine I usually start taking around this time of year anyway for seasonal allergies. So far, I'm only noticing a minor improvement. I found it both heartening and disturbing to see so many people have had the same reaction I experienced. I will be reporting this product to the FDA. I can't understand how it is still on the market! Avoid it!"

CeraVe (emollients) "I have never had a reaction to a body cream or facial cleanser before. However, for 8 months after using CeraVe I have had hives and carry an Epi-Pen for throat closures that I now get. I have seen multiple specialists and had multiple blood and allergy tests and nothing has come up as a reason for the reactions. I have read some of the reviews for CeraVe and I think my symptoms may be related to its use. If you are going to use this medication, be aware of the side effects before using it."

Neutrogena Cream (emollients) "Used this product 1 time (after washing my face with dove bar soap (I've used dove for over 10 years)) and at first it made my face feel really smooth and softer than normal. The next morning I woke up with a rash all over my face and my face felt as though all moisture had been sucked out of it. Day 2 after only using it that one time, I woke up with my face swollen, still having the rash and still feeling like I've been in a desert with no sunscreen or water for days. Really hoping I don't have to go to the doc to get this cleared up. Won't ever use this product again."

EpiCeram (emollients) "I have suffered from eczema - especially on and around my eyelids, and rosacea all over my face for about 5 years now. (Started when I was about 35). If I sit next to a fire, my face gets hot and breaks out, if I am out in the cold, my face breaks out. My skin was dry and flaky, and felt like my face was chapped all the time. I was having to apply moisturizer 5-6 times a day. It was awful! I've been using Epiceram for 2 weeks, and my skin has been completely transformed! My skin is super smooth and hydrated, my eczema is totally gone. My face is not breaking out from heat/cold! My pore size looks smaller. This stuff is amazing! I wish I could take a bath in it!"

CeraVe (emollients) "I used Cerave Moisurizing Cream for Normal to Dry Skin on my face on the 18th of April and by the 19th I had dry itchy red patches all over my face. It is now the 20th and the red rash has calmed somewhat but is still there and its still ITCHY. Taking Benadryl until I can see my doctor. I had heard great things about this cream and am extremely disappointed. Hoping the drug store I bought it at will take it back. I USED IT ONCE!"

EpiCeram (emollients) "Epi-ceram cream is amazing for eczema! The same day I applied the cream I noticed and felt a difference within a few hours. Two days later the eczema on my eye lids and around my mouth were clear. I use the cream sparingly and it works better than ANY other prescription. My insurance didn't cover it but I'm so glad I took a chance and paid for it. It was well worth the $$. Hopefully it will soon be available over the counter!"

EpiCeram (emollients) "I think I have found the holy grail. I have been an eczema sufferer my whole life. I recently finished a 6 year topical steroid withdrawal NIGHTMARE after using steroids for many years. At first it seemed as though my eczema had gone into remission, but after a few months I noticed problems with my skin again, more with dryness and flaking than active eczema I fought it for months with every alternative therapy, potion, oil, diet out there with no success. Out of desperation I visited the derm again who prescribed me Elidel, which IMO is just as bad as steroids. It was by chance I came upon an article about Epiceram. In a last ditch effort I had my derm prescribe it and decided to give it a try with 0 expectations. This is only the second day I've used it and it has completely changed my skin. I am in disbelief. I can't remember the last time my skin looked this smooth and normal. TO all those suffering with this hellish condition I urge you to give this a shot. Epiceram is a game changer"

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "I had been using Blistex lip conditioning serum and my lips had become extremely dry, so I continued to put more and more on, not even considering that the Blistex was causing the problem. My lips became swollen and burned. My lips now look very dark like they have been burned. After reading all of the issues other people have been experiencing with this product, how is this company still allowed to sell this product? I’m so incredibly disappointed and in pain. This product is trash and it has been thrown in the trash where it belongs. I will never ever buy this product again and will tell everyone I know to don’t bother."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "Last night I used the Raspberry Lemonade Blistex as a chapstick and when I woke up the next morning, my lips felt very itchy. There were bumps on my lips and it was red. I had a rash like it last year, but I realized it wasn't the same thing. I took Claritin hoping to make it better because everyone says to use an antihistamine. I hope this helps!!!"

EpiCeram (emollients) "I think some folks may be confused about what this is supposed to do and the days it takes to do it. It restores your skin's own barrier to help heal and prevent a "break" = eczema and atopic dermatitis. You put it on first, then your prescription a few minutes later, if you need one. You use it for at least 2-4 weeks to strengthen your own skin from the damaged outer layer so it stops and prevents an active break(out). Almost nothing worked on me, including "shielding lotions." From their instructions: Should EpiCeram® be prescribed along with corticosteroids or a topical immunomodulator, it is recommended to apply EpiCeram® just a few minutes before applying steroids or topical immunomodulator to allow proper penetration."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) "I bought a set of 3 fruit smoothies Blistex lip balms. At work I ran out of my Burt’s Bees and pulled these guys out. I have been using them at work for 3-4 days and couldn’t figure out why my lips hurt, were scaley, swollen, and really burning (where my lip meets the inside of my mouth) then figured out this is the only new thing I have done different. No outdoor time, no new foods, or new face lotions. And even only using them 6 hours a day (then other kinds at home) they have totally blown up my lips! I read these reviews and it confirmed my suspicions! Just don't use these! Yikes!"

EpiCeram (emollients) "My face had bright red almost raw patches of skin with no itching. Tried Aloe, Aveeno & everything made it worse. EpiCeram was like a miracle product & the only thing that cleared it up. However, after using for a while & rebuilding skin barrier I end up with dry flaky skin patches that then need mild exfoliation. I don’t know if this is from excess buildup of skin barrier or not. It’s become a vicious cycle. I’ve become my own advocate. In conclusion EpiCeram clears up rawness but then causes very dry flaky patches. I don’t find it moisturizing but it does help with raw skin"

Eucerin (emollients) "As a recent (1 yr) below knee amputee, the sweating I suffer between my residual limb and my gel liner is a constant struggle. Constant washing off my stump causes severe dry skin issues. Used eucerin after cleansing, this would cause a minor burning sensation leading to my stump becoming red and irritated, looking like a strawberry. Stopped using eucerin, applied "Sween 24" from Coloplast, redness subsided."

CeraVe (emollients) "I decided to invest in more expensive skin care products. I don’t have problem skin but I’m turning 40 next year and wanted to level up my skin care regimen. I bought cerave hydrating cleanser and then after 2 weeks I broke out in a rash all over my face. After 2 weeks I’m still suffering and will be seeing a doctor tomorrow. I have zero issues with my skin. I just wanted to maintain my nice skin. I can’t believe I used this product that ruined my skin. I’m itchy all over my face!!"

We applied aquaphor and by the next day it was already showing signs of clearing up. The itching stopped as soon as I had applied it! I continued to apply it whenever his back was itchy. I now use it in the winter to moisturize my arms and legs. I love this stuff!"

I think I have used this for about a week and noticed my top eyelids are red, and now dry patches and itchy and swollen. I am assuming it has to be the cleanser. I hope it goes away without having to go to the dr. My eyelids actually hurt. Never again will I use this product."
