For Birth Control "First week of pills of Slynd and already heavy bleeding. Please tell me it will get better. I've read others experiences and I have a hard time accepting 10 days of bleeding. How do you all have sexual relationships will blood flow all the time. I'm not a prude but ruining sheets and towels is not my fetish"

For Birth Control "6 months on Slynd and so happy. I was switched from a low estrogen to this because I’m 46 and my blood pressure was up this year. I had very mild periods on my old birth control so was dreading a switch. I am so happy that I have had no period now (no chance of being pregnant either.) I did have cramps a couple times but no spotting. No emotional changes, no weight changes, nothing. Very happy with this pill."

For Birth Control "I’m here to throw some positive into a sea of negative because typically people with a bad experience are more likely to leave a review than those with a good one. I started Slynd in December 2020 immediately following removal of Kyleena IUD. I wasn’t getting periods with the IUD and that continued with the pill. I struggled with debilitating pelvic pain and insane bloating both before that IUD and during. Slynd saved me, bloating is minimal, pelvic pain is virtually gone (I was getting ready to set up a lap for endometriosis so I’m glad this worked for now, even if it’s only masking it). I have no weight gain. I am also a weirdo and have the clearest skin of my life with this (I also did with the IUDs and I know that’s not the norm). I am now having irregular bleeding every once in a while but only from a new med I started. I have tried both Kyleena and Mirena, the depo shot, and a few different combo pills and not like all of them so it’s shocking that I like this pill so much."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this for a little over a year and my period has pretty much disappeared. It only comes once every 6 months (as of right now) and it only lasts 3 days. My period is super light and my only effects with my period is tiredness and a little bit of cramping but it’s so little it’s hardly even noticeable. My periods used to be miserable and so I'm glad I chose this. I don’t have any side effects at all aside from my nearly gone period. I love it"

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd since last October (about 7 months now). I am 24 and was prescribed it because I have high blood pressure. Since I started the pill, I haven’t had a period or any spotting and I am taking the placebo pills every month. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case for everyone else! I also didn’t notice any weight gain, I think I actually lost weight when I switched from the combination pill to this one. My acne has also gotten better on my face but I did break out pretty bad on my back which I thought was strange. Overall, I’ve liked it and haven’t had many negative side effects, but it is concerning every month when I don’t get a period!"

For Birth Control "Hello! I wanted to see how everyone else that has still been on Slynd has fared? I just started my first month on this and started bleeding more than spotting for sure the second week into this pack. It hasn’t really let up! I called the doctors office and they just said break through bleeding and spotting can be normal and just try and continue. It’s really discouraging as I don’t want to experience this bleeding for the next two months or so to adjust to it. Has anyone else had their bleeding in between improve at all? I’m getting frustrated! I also have some light cramps otherwise nothing else but the bleeding is very frustrating. Hoping it’s normal!"

For Birth Control "Slynd is the **ONLY** non-estrogen pill available in the US that works for me! In many other countries you can get Desogestrel, which for me is very similar. No break through bleeding and of course no weird estrogen side effects with either. I've tried a bunch of different B/C for my PMDD and this is by far the best one, though I still have symptoms, unfortunately. I was extremely bingy and gained so much weight with estrogen containing pills. I lost the extra weight and this pill works well now."

For Birth Control "So I have been on this pill for a year now. After three to four months of finishing packs, I stopped having my period... which is convenient, but seems like it can be a common thing. I was also previously diagnosed with PMDD and this has made those issues almost nonexistent at this point. Would definitely at least give this pill a chance... it might work for you as well!"

For Birth Control "This medication has been LIFE CHANGING!! I am 47 and was having horrifically heavy periods every month (sometimes more than once/month). They were causing me grief and wreaking havoc on my daily life. I had tried multiple pills before Slynd and was considering a hysterectomy. My doctor had me try it in a last-ditch effort and low and behold IT WORKED!!! Took a few cycles, but after about 3-4, my periods are GONE!!!! I might have one day every few months that I spot, but that’s it! Truly life changing!!!!"

For Birth Control "I am finishing my second pack and I am so so pleased with the birth control. I was switched for being at risk for stroke with my other birth control because of my migraines. I was super nervous to take a POP because I forget to take pills all the time but I have an alarm and I think being so scared has made me more responsible. I haven’t had a period but still get period like symptoms around the time I should have it. I used to get really nauseous from birth control and I don’t feel that way at all with this."

For Birth Control "Slynd was NOT for me. After a decade on Yaz my Ob Gyn switched me to Slynd. This was during the quarantine and highly stressful timing in hindsight I should have not agreed to change over to something without more research. My side effects began in the second half of first pack. I began dropping weight and developing acne on my back, neck, and face (I’m almost 40). My anxiety hit an all time high and by the first week of the second pack I quit after having an episode where I had thoughts to harm myself. For reference, I have NEVER experienced that in my life and it was such a red flag I called my doc to switch back to my old pill. The nurse made a comment about weight loss not being associated with this pill and was cavalier about it. I was upset that this pill is so new with limited research and reviews and I had been prescribed it simply because I was approaching a certain age. It was not a fit for me."

For Birth Control "I’m really enjoying Slynd! I was on Lo Loestrin FE & came off because of migraines & intense anxiety on placebo pills. My NP advised me to take this continuously so no placebo, & my moods/emotions are so stable and I don’t get a period! I had some very, very light spotting for two days during pack three but nothing worth doing anything about. My skin has cleared up so nicely & I haven’t gained any weight. I think its worth a try if you struggle with panic disorder!!"

For Birth Control "Worst birth control I’ve ever tried. I’m almost done with my 3rd month and I’ve bled almost every since day since I started my first pack. I’ve never ever had problems with weight gain in the past (I have two kids always remained at 120 after having them). I got on Slynd 9 months after having my daughter, I was already back to my pre-pregnancy weight then. NOW, I’ve gained 15lbs. I’ve never been this heavy. None of my clothes fit. I’ve always been active and have worked out since I was 16, I’m now 26. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and run a mile a day and I CAN'T LOSE THE WEIGHT. I don’t eat meat, I’m pretty healthy. I’ve literally never had this issue before and I am sooo upset. My mental health has been rough since starting this birth control too. I’ve been having such bad depression"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Slynd due to an underlying heart condition. The first month I took it, 10/10 no complaints whatsoever. It even made my period nearly non existent. Unfortunately, my second month on it has been torture. I have had breakthrough bleeding every single day, nonstop. My skin was just about perfect before I switched to this pill, now it is absolutely horrible. Everyday I wake up with around 5 new breakouts and nothing is seeming to help it. It is turning into cystic acne I think. I cry at the drop of a pin. If someone looks at me the wrong way, or makes a joke that I didn't find funny, instant tears. I have noticed slight weight loss on this pill which I am not too angry about. I am hoping to switch off of this pill and go back to combination pills ASAP. Although, my gyno recommended that I wait to finish at least 3 months worth, which I am dreading. If you don't mind acne, constant spotting, and unexpected crying - this is the pill for you!"

For Birth Control "My gyn gave me 4 packs of this pill for free. Goal was to prevent pregnancy but also to get some relief from heavy monthly bleeding/cramps. I’m on pack 4 and still have breakthrough bleeding, it just happens unexpectedly and can last a week or more. Cramps have improved and haven’t gotten pregnant, but I’ve had major cystic acne and dry eyes so they’re bloodshot all the time. No weight gain which is a plus. I feel like a guinea pig since this pill was literally just approved by FDA and there are no patient reviews to be found. Not sure if I will continue taking, I can only imagine what the monthly price will be on a brand new pill on the market with no generic available."

For Birth Control "Just dropping in to be another voice that's not scary. I just finished my first month of Slynd. It hasn't changed my life nor ruined it. I felt crummy the first couple of days, then everything balanced out. I was terrified to switch after reading all the reviews. I had to change due to being on a combo pill and having migraines with aura. Everyone responds differently, but it's possible for it to have little to no side effects with this drug."

For Birth Control "I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Slynd. I bled significantly for the 3.5 months I was on it. It was originally prescribed to help with my migraines but was not successful. I stopped a few weeks ago because it was wasn’t worth it for me. I wish there were more reviews when I started this so I hope my review is helpful to others."

"Do not let the reviews scare you, each persons experience will vary. Consider your risks with your doctor, but understand it can take months to tell if a medication is working or not. I have endometriosis and fibroids and cannot tolerate estrogen due to aura migraines. I tried Movisse before this and it was a nightmare (severe bleeding and cramping). I stumbled upon this drug on my own, my doctor had not even heard of it in Canada as it is new. I have been on it 1.5 months and upon starting my bleeding stopped immediately. I now just spot instead of a period and my pain has gone from about an 8 to a 2. My oily skin has cleared up and it looks amazing. I will say I experienced some anxiety and depression the first month but it gets better. Give this a shot!"

For Birth Control "I’ve always had issues with birth control prior to Slynd. I’ve been on 2 different combination pills as well as the Kyleena IUD. I’ve had all sorts of side effects: recurrent yeast infections, dryness and acne. I changed my gynecologist and told her my past issues, and she recommended Slynd. My skin has improved significantly and I hardly ever had a pimple since I’ve been on Slynd. I basically don’t have any side effects. The only thing is, my period had pretty much disappeared after the first 3 months."

For Birth Control "Hey. I started Slynd 3 months ago. I’m a little concerned. My first month on the pill I got my period for almost 7 days. My usual before was only 3 days. I’m not on my 3 pack and still no menstrual since I first started. For the last two month I have gotten the menstrual symptoms but heavier than normal. Bad cramping serve back pain but no flow. I’m not sure if this is normal."

For Birth Control "I started this at 40yrs old to help with PMDD, painful periods and heavy bleeding. The first 4 months was rough because of the bleeding but then stopped around month 5 and so glad I stuck it out. I’m on month 9 and my moods are so much better, more consistent, and I don’t have those horrible bad days anymore. I chose this over surgery and antidepressants for PMDD and so glad I did. My periods are very short and much lighter with some cramping randomly but not that bad. I was also able to stop taking spirolactone for my acne because this cleared my skin up. I thought I gained weight but I’m really the same size almost a year later so I think it was just my body adjusting. My advice is try it but give it at least 4-5 months."

For Birth Control "I'm a month into using Slynd and I have had no issues. Due to constant headaches and migraines, I switched from the combo pill to Slynd with the hopes it would help with my headaches. I've had no headaches since starting (although I have still had my usual monthly intense migraine but I didn't expect birth control to fix that). My head feels much clearer (I'm not sure how else to explain it!) now that I no longer take a combo pill. If you have headaches/migraines and are looking for a birth control with no estrogen, I would highly recommend trying Slynd. I've had no acne, no spotting, no weight gain, and a drastic difference in the amount of headaches I have. We will see how the next few months go, but so far Slynd has drastically improved my quality of life with no side effects."

For Birth Control "I have been trying different bc pills every four months for the last five or so years. I’ve finally found the one that works for me is Slynd, and I’m at my lowest weight I’ve ever been. No side effects at all, except for continuous bleeding for the first two weeks. I skip placebos and haven’t had a period at all in six months (I skipped all of my placebos including my first packs, not Dr. recommended but it didn’t have any negative effect). I took one month off all birth control before starting Slynd and I feel exactly the same as if I wasn’t taking anything at all, except my skin is more clear and again, no periods. This won’t work for everyone but I was about to give up altogether. Estrogen was the problem for me, now that it’s gone I have never felt so “together” and happy."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill for about a year. I’m insanely frustrated with the constant bleeding. I actually ended up googling it because although my doc insists that breakthrough bleeding is normal, I’m over it. I skipped one month when my husband wasn’t home anyway and didn’t have any issues with my cycle. I had my period this month for about 8 days. Once I FINALLY stopped bleeding I was able to have sex for about 4 days before I started bleeding again and this time it’s been almost 2 weeks of breakthrough bleeding and clot passing. It gets lighter some days and I think it’s almost over and then BAM it’s heavy again. Not to mention the insane and constant low back cramps and what feels like ovarian cysts or something, I’m constantly taking ibuprofen and Tylenol for the back pain."
