For Muscle Spasm "I suffer from chronic pain everyday and there are days that I can't get out of bed. I have interstitial cystitis, pelvic floor dysfunction and spinal stenosis and herniated discs and now the drs are saying I have neurologic problems. The pain everday keeps me from functioning in my life. The simplist things are so painful for me. I was given Valium for the pelvic floor dysfunction and it seemed to relax the nerves and help a great deal. I only take one if I'm very bad that day. Their aren't any other medications I want to take because of the big hype about getting addicted. My drs said theirs not much they can do for me being I have this autoimmune disease. I have to live my life so if this medication is prescribed and it helps some then this is my only alternative. If someone can come up with better advice I would gladly take it. I hate drugs but I have to do what my dr says or whats the sense of going to him."

For Meniere's Disease "23 yrs ago I woke up and felt high. Diagnosed with Meniere’s , Mal de barkment?, Horrible Tinnitus, Anxiety/ Panic attacks, allergy issues & depersonalization as well, hence the high feeling. The 1st. 7 yrs. I struggled thru Zoloft, Lexapro, allergy meds & back surgery until 1 day a friend told me to ask my Dr. to try Valium. Game Changer!! After the very 1st 5mg dose of diazepam I felt a sense of calm for 2 days that I had not felt in 7 yrs. The last 16 yrs I don’t think I would’ve made it if it weren’t for “Mother’s Little Helper”. Over time I’ve gone from 5mg daily to 10mg, my body craved more based on my symptoms worsening. Still I get panic/anxiety attacks once in a while but they have never sent me to hospital like during those initial 7 yrs of suffering. I’m turning 50 soon and planning to somehow make it till the end with Diazepam's help! Good Luck to you all!!"

Valium (diazepam) for Anxiety "Bless the doctor who finally saw this drug is an anodyne for me. I have arterio-venal necrosis, which means my joints are collapsing due to death of tiny blood vessels, a very painful condition causing difficulty of walking and use of the arms. Valium not only relieves the pain, it also calms the crippling fear of falling which keeps me from progressing with my physical therapy after the hip replacement which is finally got be beginning to walk again after more than 2 and a half years on the Rollator. It allows me to sleep, it blots out social anxiety, and it prevents nausea and muscle spasms. I call it my anodyne...it is THE medicine for me. If I am addicted to it, so be it. I'm addicted to having liveable quality of life! Thank you Diazepam!"

Valium (diazepam) for Anxiety "I used to be on valium back in the 90s when it was easier to get for panic attacks and ptsd and when the narcotics laws changed I got off of them because my family doctor wouldn't give them to me. Panic attacks started happening again when I have a thyroid disorder. Now I'm seeing a psychiatrist to get them again and they have given me part of my life back. Before seeing psychiatrist my Dr tried me on multiple different ssri and none of them work. And ssri drugs have me ED. Valium has only 1 side effect to me and that is just being drowsy for an hour or so. Valium is a life saver."

For Anxiety "I suffer from generalised anxiety disorder. I was prescribed Valium after attending the emergency department for a panic attack. I take Valium when I feel my anxiety creeping up on me (when my heart rate increases and I have that awful feeling of anxiety in my chest) and when I become overwhelmed to stop a panic attack occurring. I take 2.5mg and find this a great dose for me. I feel calm about 30 minutes after taking it and am able to relax for quite a few hours (if only this feeling came naturally!). Overall, I find Valium very effective. However, I can see why people become addicted. You really do get a sense of calm from Valium. If you can be responsible with it and not abuse the drug then I highly recommend it for those instances where you just need something to calm you down. Also, I have never had any side effects."

For Anxiety "I try and avoid taking valium and only use it as the last resort if physical techniques (progressive relaxation, breathing control etc...) don't work. At most I have I never taken more than two 5mg tablets in a day. I find on an empty stomach the effects are within 10-15 minutes and it certainly calms things down mostly. In my anxiety state I get a dreadful felling in the pit of my stomach followed by chest tightness and also the inevitable irrational thoughts, even though I know they are irrational. The valium seems to smooth it our and there is that calmness which block crazy thoughts (claustrophobia is one of them, being trapped, worrying about inconsequential things, playng out what-if scenarios... completely irrational stuff)"

For Muscle Spasm "I was on Diazepam for a couple of months then my doctor was switched and was taken off because it was a benzo! I have bipolar disorder osteoarthritis and possible autoimmune disorder. The pain that I started to suffer in my upper thighs at night was unbearable. Then I started to get terrible muscle spasms in my feet and calf muscles so bad that one night my husband had to call the ambulance and I was rushed to to hospital. Finally got a new specialist and he immediately put me back on Diazepam explaining that it helps with anxiety thus helps to relax muscles. I am now on 15mg working my way up to 20mg and for the first time in months have not had a muscle spasm and have been able to start to sleep. I am a 52 year old woman and have my own business thought I was going to have to stop working. This drug is given a bad reputation but used properly is a life saver!!"

Valium (diazepam) for Alcohol Withdrawal "I have been taking valium for the last 10 years. Before I was a raging alcoholic and always put myself in danger because of the effects of the alcohol,it should be illegal because it is a terrible drug, my life has been normal for the past ten years now and I have a happy family thanks to one little pill."

Valium (diazepam) for Meniere's Disease "I've suffered with Meniere's/vestibular neuritis for over 37 years and it has cast a dark shadow over my quality of life. The only medicine that has helped me to live with the episodes (loss of balance, vertigo, dis-equilibrium) has been valium. Because valium suppresses the central nervous system, it helps me to cope."

For Muscle Spasm "I tried all the muscle relaxant medicines, then my pain management doctor introduced me to diazepam, the spasms in my legs and fusioned area of my back disappeared overnight. The way I know it works is because if I don't take it the symptoms reappear."

For Muscle Spasm "I have a form of muscular dystrophy and this is the only drug that will stop my spasms. I've been on if when needed for 15+ years and would not be a working, functioning, contributor to society without it. I take a very low dose when needed. I can now live life to the fullest without pain. I'm so thankful for this drug."

For Anxiety "It is a wonder drug for me. I had severe anxiety symptoms and they weren't passing by taking a hot bath, camomile tea, CBD oil. So doctor prescribed diazepam. 2 pills in one day and I feel almost anxiety free. No longer debilitating anxiety, and now I can be relaxed because if anxiety strikes again, I can take it again, until my AD starts working. No longer need to be in hospital to get good anxiety med. I can do this on my own at home. Fast acting, longer duration than xanax, completely different feeling from xanax. I like diazepam more."

For Anxiety "I have had anxiety all of my adult life, and at times I have been almost crippled through panic attacks and nervous tension. I have tried nearly every benzodiazepine available, and for myself diazepam is by far the most effective, safe and trusted. It is also a very good 'all-rounder' tranquillizer, useful for anxiety, panic, insomnia, muscle tension through worry, tension headaches and irritable bowel syndrome induced through anxiety. I have never become addicted despite years of use, I mostly take diazepam only when required, but several times when going through a particularly bad period of anxiety and depression I have taken it regularly for several weeks and I didn't experience withdrawal upon discontinuation."

Valium (diazepam) for Anxiety "Other than drowsiness for about 45 minutes after taking it, great medicine! Works in like 10 minutes, so if I feel a panic attack coming on I take my dosage and before I know it I'm calm. It enables me to go into mass public places and can go into crowded restaurants with my family. Valium has given me a huge part of my life back. I know most doctors are against it because dope heads have abused this type of drug. You can only get it from a psychiatrist now but it saved my social life so I see the shrink monthly! Thanks valium"

"I left a review earlier. You can find it about 'clonazepam'. I took Clonazepam for 6 years. I have switched to 60mg of Diazepam daily. The highest dose, and the longest time, my Dr. who treats 100's of patients has prescribed. I won't talk about the trauma that doesn't go away with any medication. I will say that for me, Diazepam has been a life-saver. It works fast enough and lasts a good 8-12 hours. It's TID, but sometimes I forget and take a little extra at night. The 10mg afternoon dose. I usually wait for a semi-empty stomach, I wait for after supper. I probably have a steady state. That being said, it's the only medication that helps me cope. I have real triggers, I stutter, stammer, twitch. All reduced by Diazepam. Flashbacks cover my vision. I see my friends dying. I don't know if I will ever stop taking it. I'm totally dependent after 8+ years. I've tried to reduce, it's hard. It will take me 2 years safely, at least."

For Anxiety "I have suffered with anxiety all my life because of a difficult upbringing, Dad was away a lot in the Army. My first husband used to beat me up and my second husband was mean and kept me in the house. I turned to the Diazepams, I was given Valium, it helped a lot. I'm now almost 70 and still taking it."

Valium (diazepam) for Anxiety "Used for 17yrs, worked well at first but needed increased doses as I became tolerant, held the same dose for past 7 yrs then suddenly became acutely anxious and agoraphobic dose was increased again but only result was awful unsteadiness on my feet. Finally was told that some people get withdrawal symptoms even whilst taking the same dose and it seems that is the problem I have, never been this ill in my life and now i face having to taper off it which scares me, my experience and opinion is it was fine short term but long term caused me more problems than it ever solved."

Valium (diazepam) for Muscle Spasm "It is the only thing that works for me when my back flares up and still allows me to function mentally so I can work. I’ve taken it off and on as needed during flare ups for years with no side effects or withdrawal when I discontinue. I don’t leave home without it just in case!"

Valium (diazepam) for Muscle Spasm "I'm a 32 yr young woman, who at the age of 11 was diagnosed with a severe spine disorder (scoliosis), it was also affecting my vertebra, they were turning in causing my ribs to crush my lungs. My doctor said I had a year or so to live. I was slowly suffocating. So at 12 yrs old I had 2 herrington rods put in on each side of my spine. From neck to tush! The pain then wasn't to bad, that I remember, but now at 32 some days I can't even move (WINTER-IDAHO). But 2 yrs ago I started using diazepam and at first I slept a lot, but as time has passed I have a great life. I myself cannot play sports but I can sit on a metal bench for 3 to 4 hours and enjoy watching my 4 boys play sports. Take as prescribed and tell your doctor if it's not helping."

Valium (diazepam) for Anxiety "I can’t say this medicine Is horrible for everyone but I can say that I got the unlucky end of the stick. This medicine actually made my anxiety worse! I literally felt like I was losing my mind. I couldn’t sleep at night because my fight or flight response wouldn’t stop rushing through my body and It made me have horrible panic attacks. It got to a point I had to call the EMS because my heart rate went up to 170....I was excited to try the medicine from the reviews because I wanted the relief and calm mind but I will never take this medicine again."

For Muscle Spasm "Diazepam works wonders for taking away muscle spasm type pain in my legs due to proximal tibiofibular instability issues. It also helps with my intermittent piriformis syndrome (butt pain) after I have sat down too much. No gastrointestinal side effects. No problem to take when needed on an empty stomach. Ever since having some diazepam, there is never a need for hydrocodone pain medicine."

Valium (diazepam) for Anxiety "There is nothing to treat anxiety like Valium/Diazepam - that the Federal government and the states issued laws that put a chilling effect on doctors to prescribe it is so unfortunate. They legalize marijuana and create a black market for excellent medications for anxiety/insomnia.They have created a black market for these medications at a time when Fentanyl overdose is rampant in these United States ."

Valium (diazepam) for Anxiety "I don’t understand why this wonderful drug is now being demonised. This drug and other benzos have helped me no end. These drugs are super important to lots of people especially in these COVID times. If a drug helps me have a better more normal life it should be my right to have this drug as it’s my body, just like if someone wants to lend there body to science or donate that’s fine why should this be no different. Doctors took an oath anxiety is at an all time high due to pandemic I feel it’s needed more than ever. Not just mother’s little helper anymore but fathers, sons and daughters alike."
