"I'm 37, was dx'd ADHD at 9. My parents thought it was rubbish due to my grades and voracious reading, and that my typical ADHD (and ASD) traits was me being lazy/immature/bratty/oversensitive. After two decades of life failure (grades don't predict success) I sought treatment. Only Zenzedi (NOT any of the generic d-amps) helped reliably with my inability to not procrastinate, interrupt, lose things, feel so overwhelmed that I avoided everything. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of this med and I've heard that it may be discontinued in favor of a new "non-abusable" IR d,l-amp product by the pharma corp that makes Zenzedi! And like many medical decisions made in this era, citizens have no ability to change the outcome."

"After years of adderall and the inconsistency in quality offered by generics, Zenzedi is the only medicine that has worked great for two years now. No hard crashes with mood swings. Effective for 4 to 6 hours depending on my food choices for the day. No insomnia problems as long as last dose is between 4 and 5 pm. I'm prescribed 30mg 3 times daily."

"Zenzedi is my favorite ADHD medication by far little side effects lasts a long time no strange tolerance build up either, I take it in the morning and it works 100x better than Mydaysis, Adderall brand or not, the weird chewable one, and Vyvanse. I've been on all of them I think and I really find this one to be the best. My insurance doesn't cover it but I don't care it's worth it - I rather spend money on one drug that helps rather then a bunch of other adhd medications combined."

"Generic Adderall started to do nothing but cause me anxiety. Generic dextroamphetamine tablets are now about 30% as effective as Dexedrine and Dextrostat tablets were. Both have been discontinued. Vyvanse is effective, but sometimes I do not want or need something that lasts 12 hours, and other times, it wears off after 8-9 hours and I need a booster. This works as well as original Dexedrine tablets. There is no lactose or gluten, unlike the garbage generics. Truly an amazing med for my ADHD and fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue."

"I wrote previously about loving Zenzedi and switching to Adderall XR due to insurance. After 1 month of Adderall, I am going back to Zenzedi. Adderall was just not for me. I had mental issues all month long and just didn't focus as much. My family even noticed a difference. I called my Insurance and they approved Zenzedi easily."

"The most reliable and consistent ADHD CNS I've ever taken! Their new instant release tablets they came out with recently, are really great. Instead of taking the usual four salts (Adderall), you have one (Dextroamphetamine Sulfate). My grades and focus went up about 30 percent after taking these on right dose. I've been stuggling with ADHD since I was 6 yro. Also, I take 30mg x 3 per day. I always joke with friends that dexy makes me feel sexy."

"After being on what seems like every medication ever formulated over the last 25 years, I finally found something that has dramatically improved my life. I have tried all of the common ADHD drugs - Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Ritalin, etc. They all sort of helped, but they also had horrendous side effects, especially on my sleep and my mood. Adderall in particular was harsh on my body - I swear I didn't sleep right for years on that drug. Not to mention terrible vasoconstriction/Raynaud's! Zenzedi (pure dextroamphetamine sulfate) has none of that. In fact, it has even helped me relax quite a bit, which is the whole point of these medications for ADHD in the first place. I cannot recommend this enough. It has dramatically improved my life. I take 30mg x 2 per day and it lasts all day. It is not easy to find, and insurance may not cover it. But it is very much worth it."

"I had been taking Vyvanse close to a year with great success, but needed something I could gauge when I needed to dose and not take Vyvanse which kept me awake for 12-13 hours. Switched to Dexedrine and went through 3 months worth (all different manufacturers) of horrible generics. I finally got Zenzedi this last month, and it seems to work for maybe 45 minutes. This is not what I was expecting, did the formula change or something? It feels like I took a bad adderall to be honest. Generic Sandoz adderall is more like vyvanse than Zenzedi is, at least for me lately. 10mg 2x a day. Has anyone else noticed an issue lately?"

"Taken for 8 years and worked great. But in 2020 original manufacturer Wilshire was bought by Arbor Pharmaceuticals and the original 10 mg was no longer available. Arbor changed the color from pink to yellow-brown and it doesn't work. Recently was able to get pink 10 mg only in the quantity of 30 jars (100 counts no longer available) and though it looks exactly like the earlier 10 mg (same color and script) it doesn't work near as well. It no longer gives me energy and takes 2.5-5 hours to kick in vs the previous version that kicked in immediately. The current 10 mg pink version, which looks like the pre-2021 version, doesn't work near as well as the original but it is much less expensive. I believe this new 10 mg pink Zenzedi is a cheaper generic version that they are passing off as the original. The original 10 mg was much more expensive than the current version which looks identical and the original 15 mg is also much more expensive."

"This stuff makes you feel like the king of the world! Unfortunately, that euphoria after 5 hours turns to dysphoria and the crying starts. Horrible thoughts that I'm a failure and no way to calm down. There should be an extended version of this drug because that 5 hour comedown is horrible."

"The generic for this med didn't work at all, however the name brand (for some reason) is amazing! It has changed my life after so many other meds have failed. I am able to study, take notes, and remember what I've read now. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is because I am having some issues with insomnia. I'm sure that is related to the timing and strength of my last dose of the day however, and will adjusted. It can be expensive, however after trying everything else and nothing else working, I would rather pay for this than deal with awful symptoms all day."

"When it first came on the market, I tried it and it was great. Way better than Adderall. Super focused. Best ADHD drug I ever tried. Then I lost insurance and couldn't be on it for a while and finally used their coupon program and tried Zenzedi years later and that spark was gone. Same name brand but no longer worked at all and I ultimately had to go back to Adderall."

"I take the 30s, and the name brand and generic are the exact same pill from the same production lines as the name brand. I was told by Azure Pharmaceuticals. The difference in cost per pill is 8 dollars vs 7 for the generic. I have had to take the 15s due to the 30s being out of stock and the 15 mg is the exact same pill, there is no difference at all. So I'm not sure why people say they are different. It's the most effective dose for me but requires taking them four times a day due to me being a rapid metabolizer of amphetamine-based stimulants. I was on the original brand name Dexedrine until it was discontinued in 2006 by GlaxoSmithKline. This isn't quite as helpful as Dexedrine 5 mg tabs used to be, but a close second."

"I was on zenzedi for about 6 months. I loved it! I have only tried Ritalin for my ADD and it made me psychotic, and once I stopped taking it I was too scared to take anything else. Well 10 years later, and sick of my ADD, I was prescribed this medication and it worked! I also had no beginning side effects. The only complaint I have is how quickly it wore off, but it could be my own metabolism and anyone else could be different. However, due to my new insurance I am switching to Adderall XR, I'll write an comparison opinion when I begin taking it."

"Have gone from Adderall to Vyvanse to Dextroamphetamine IR and after 6 months on this, I can say it is by far the best. Same cost as the generic for the same quantity with my insurance and I like the higher dosages since I take 40mg/day. It has the consistency of Vyvanse with the duration of IR tablets."

"This medication has helped me tremendously and Is night and day from generic Adderall in effectiveness for me. My two complaints would be recently in Dec 2021 I've had trouble with my Zenzedi 30 mg getting to the pharmacy due to a backorder. It has interfered with my treatment and didn't realize how effective this medicine was until I went back to generic adderall. It has been a very underwhelming change to say the least and on top of it my doctor wrote the prescription for same mg of generic adderall as I was on for Zenzedi and can say anyone that has experienced this knows they are not near equivelant per mg. Second complaint- I recently was laid off from work and lost my insurance that had me at a $30 copay for my medicine. Well no problem I remember the savings card through Arbor Pharma said cash paying patients pay no more than $75, well how dishonest that was. Cheapest I've been able to pay was using a Goodrx for $230 each fill. Not a pleasant experience paying that much!"

"This was far superior to generic. Gluten-free. No anxiety, no crash, provides me with flexibility with time of dosage. Not quite as effective as the old Dexedrine instant release tablets, but very close. No side effects other than slight dry mouth."

"It works well, strong enough at 20mg, only lasts as long Adderall. Needs to be redosed later on in the day. I feel that it has more focusing power than Dexedrine spaniels 15, Ritalin ir 20, or adderall ir 20, however I notice some serious clenched jaw and an urge to grind teeth even into the next day while not taking it. It’s strong and effective, however I would also like to mention, the feeling of withdrawal from 1 day of this medication reminds me of the withdrawal of months on adderall. It’s definitely a great medication, and I remember thinking it has fewer side effects and greater consistency than generics. I would also like to add I’ve been diagnosed ADHD since I was 7, and have been on most every ADHD medication and even with record of this my insurance continues to deny covering this medication, even after countless phone calls."

"Over the past 10 years I have been on a variety of different medications to help treat my ADHD. These include Adderall (which was my go-to until recently), Vyvanse, Ritalin, Focalin and Adzenys. I never loved any of them but out of that list I found Adderall the most tolerable. Recently I read online about Zenzedi and asked my doctor if I could try it. It was a bit of a hassle to find a pharmacy that carried it, but I eventually got a supply for a month. I am so glad I did. This is by far the most effective and side effect free of any / all of the ADHD medicines I have tried. It gives me the focus and motivation headspace that Adderall provides without the amped up, heart pacing feeling that makes me uncomfortable and anxious. Also, unlike Vyvanse it doesn’t last forever so I have better control over how to time my 2 doses during the day. Overall, an excellent medication!"

"I have ADHD, formerly known as ADD. It wasn’t caught until I was about 19 years old, around the same time my mom was diagnosed with it as well. Turns out that it is usually hereditary, and is related to Neuro degenerative conditions and can actually progress into things like fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and even Alzheimer’s. I have fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome, narcolepsy, suspected multiple sclerosis but insurance won’t pay for the test, and even now getting symptoms of Parkinson’s. There are only four ingredients in this formulation. They are also free of lactose and gluten, with no generic company will guarantee. I am lactose intolerant and celiac, so the generic medications would make me very sick. These have far fewer side effects and are almost as good as the original dexedrine tablets. I can’t put my finger on what exactly is missing, but they are very very close to being as effective."

"For ADHD a timer really helps. 10 minutes applied efforts towards study. 3 minutes of something entirely different. In education, classes change on the hour and so should the subject material. Math problems, (starting simple), then maybe Art Crossword, Architecture, Photography. Music; playing an instrument or editing. Memorizing a new phrase in Mandarin or German This enables different parts of the brain to integrate."

"I hadn't concentrated in 2 years. Zenzedi stopped that. I went through the runaround with popular pharmacies which, 75% prescribe Aurabindo or Teva, and cannot get Zenzedi. I found it at a grocery chain after some calling. The other pharmacies won't sell it because it costs more. I take 15mg three times; now I can think, and no side effects. This is longer acting than I thought, you just can't up the dosage and get better effects, it has to be gradual. And your not craving to increase it after some time like most people think. There's no reason to change it, and it wasn't much more than the fake ones either. After some searching, a grocery chain had it, for just a bit over the fake generics. IT worked, twice as effective. Now I can wake up to a normal day. It is the only or one of a few that are real and authentic. There's no going back, Mallinckrodt is the only generic manufacturer that tries to get it right, if I couldn't get Zenzedi."
