My son, age 9, was recently diagnosed with Central Auditory Processing Disorder. CAPD has a lot of the same 'symptoms' as Inattentive ADHD. After struggling with the best way to help my son and meeting with his pediatrician, we decided to give Focalin XR a try. We have seen amazing, wonderful progress. My son feels/is successful at school, he's able to focus, gets his work done, etc, all with very minimal side effects. We couldn't be happier! I realize medicines are not for everyone and many, like me, are hesitant to even try them. But I am here to tell you that it has made a very big difference for my son.
