Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I have been on Apri birth control for 3 years now. I give it a 3 for the fact that it in fact helped me to get and regulate my period, at the very late age of 22. And that I am not pregnant. But I have worse acne now than I did when I was 13. I have gained a lot of weight on my hips and stomach. I have the worst mood swings and my sex drive is completely gone. It has caused a lot of problems in my relationship since I started taking it."

Reclipsen (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "My overall experience with Reclipsen has been mostly positive... Weight loss, lighter periods, less severe cramps, no acne (although that was never an issue). My only cons would be the rise and fall in my moods. Other than that, I cant complain about the product. Will continue to use it for as long as I need to!"

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I have to say the best birth control I've ever been on I have high free testosterone and diagnosed with PCOs. Still have sex drive an think Apri even increased it more. I haven't got any acne on it so far either. I'm not moody or anything that I noticed yet I've been on it 5 days so far. If I notice anything different I will repost."

Viorele (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I really don't understand the negativity this birth control has. I started this in July 2016 and have had pretty much a standard experience in terms of taking bc. This isn't the first bc I've been on, but it's definitely the best. I suffer from PMDD so this bc is a life-saver. No longer am I on the floor in crippling pain, unable to move and/or walk. My periods are a lot lighter, as is the cramps/back&breast aches associated with it. & I don't understand 'this birth control made me gain weight!' It's been proven that birth control isn't the cause of weight gain. I'm still the size I've always been. I did, however, gain two cup sizes but shopping for cute bras is okay with me. It does it's job; unprotected sex with the fiance & not preggo."

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I've taken about every Pill on the market, and this is by far the best. I've never had a problem with my drive while on this formulation of the Pill. Actually, my drive is more normal than it's been than with the other pills, especially the Ortho line and Seasonale. I have had no side effects other than my appetite has increased, but there is a such thing as self-control, so other than watching what and how often I eat, I love Apri!"

Enskyce (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I have been taking Enskyce for about 3 years now and it was all good at first, Lighter, shorter periods, my cramps lightened up and I had no more headaches until the beginning of this year (Jan 2019). At first my periods became so light that I would only need a pad for about 3 days then the period was gone but now all of a sudden my periods have become extremely heavy now, I have to wear a tampon and a pad and I’m changing it out about every 45 min. It lasts about 3 or 4 days and then it’s back to spotting. I spotted for two weeks after my period was over. It is now about to be August and I’m still bleeding heavily. I’m not sure what’s going on or if the pill isn’t working anymore but I am looking to get on a different medication."

Reclipsen (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "A lot of the reviews on here are scary, but I think it must be personal chemistry that decides if this medicine will work for you or not. I've been on it for 2.5 years and I didn't really have any physical side effects. I maybe had some breast pain when I started it, but cutting down on caffeine cured that. I do have anxiety, but I don't think I can blame this pill for that, it's kind of just my personality. Overall, this pill has just done it's job for me."

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "After years of suffering with PCOS symptoms- Apri has saved me! It has eliminated most of my acne. First month was harsh, but I knew with how out of whack my hormones were, I was going to have side effects adjusting, so I bared down and now I'm in the last week of my third pack! First month I had the worst morning sickness, I didn't know how I was going to handle it. Each month so far I've thrown up at least once in the first week.. I find the more often I eat, the less I feel the sickness. I've gained about 15lbs. My appetite has started calming down this month. I went from an A cup to C cup so far so I stopped wearing a bra. Some nights the pain is so bad I have to massage my breasts. I don't find I'm holding much water weight anywhere. I have experienced some headaches but I try to sleep them off. My periods are already lighter, but still adjusting overall. The best thing from all of this is my depression & mood swings have depleted. I'm meeting with my Dr to renew my prescription!l"

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "My wife has taken Apri since January 2007. We were married on July 28th 2007. It has SERIOUSLY messed up her sex drive. I'm sure happy we aren't pregnant but a pill that keeps someone from wanting sex AT ALL isn't exactly what I was thinking when she got onto Apri."

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I was previously on Yaz both for birth control and to reduce my mild acne. I am normally a very happy optimistic person, yet this pill made me depressed and very moody. I switched to Apri, it's been 4 months, and I love it. I am not moody at all, and haven't gained any weight."

Reclipsen (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "The first thing to remember is that everyone's body will react completely differently to different types of birth control. It all depends on YOUR body. I was on Reclipsen for one year. I'm a pretty up-beat and happy person but literally as SOON as I started taking Reclipsen I fell into depression. I hated it. I wasn't myself, I was moody, irritable, I lost confidence and I was really really sad which is not like me at all. I also gained a ton of weight which didn't help with the whole self confidence thing. The only good thing I have to say about it is that I didn't get pregnant and my periods were shorter."

I haven't experienced any of the painful cystic acne that I was getting on Ortho Tri-cyclen. I haven't experienced any negative side effects from it either. Fingers crossed that it stays that way!"

Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "Beware this drug! I experienced the most horrendous mood swings and extreme anxiety while on this drug. The side effects took a while to develop but once they did it was truly unbearable. I had no idea why my personality was changing so drastically. It was truly terrifying. I wasn't making the connection between this drug and my highly elevated emotions. I told my Dr. on a whim about my terrible anxiety/mood swings and he immediately took me off of kariva. Within a week I was feeling back to my normal self. It has now been 4 months off of Kariva and I have not had one mood swing or case of anxiety. I would never recommend this drug to anyone. As far as I'm concerned, it should be taken off the market permanently."

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I have been taking Apri for the last month and a half and I like it. I am 19 and this is my first time on birth control, I am using it for PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome. I have lost five pounds and my acne is starting to clear up. The only issues I have are the munchies since I'm trying to lose weight, but I just eat fruit or salad when I get super hungry like that. Hopefully things stay as great as they are. Wish you all the best of luck."

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I've been on Apri for a few years and it works 100% great! -My acne is nonexistent -my periods are always falling on the 3-4 days that are supposed to -My cramps are gone, I used to curl over in pain because of them! Now I have little to no discomfort -BUT the reason I gave a 9 out of 10 is because, your sex drive is close to none, I hate it for my husband, which is why I'll probably have to make a switch soon, but for me, I love the product!"

Reclipsen (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for about a month now. This is my first oral contraceptive. I love this birth control. I used to have SEVERE cystic acne but this stuff keeps my skin so clear. Another thing I love about Reclipsen is that is levels out my mood and I don't have mood swings like I used to. Also I've noticed since switching I've been in the "mood" way more. I did gain 5 pounds but no complaints here! I am very thin and the weight has filled out my body! My breasts are so much perkier and larger, which is a plus for me! I also think this made my hair grow. I've had a sudden growth in my hair and I have done nothing different to it. Only downside is it causes me to lightly bleed."

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "This pill makes my anxiety spin out of control. I don’t get panic attacks like I do with other pills, but I worry nonstop. I worry about everything from my dogs to getting in a car accident. I will lay awake at night worrying about one thing after another. I always feel a sense of doom. It also makes me feel very tired and almost drugged... it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning. I haven’t gained any weight, I lost a couple pounds but also changed my diet so not sure if it was the pill or not. My boobs are always extremely sore. It cleared my skin aside from the occasional zit here and there. This isn’t the worst pill I’ve ever taken but anyone with a predisposing to anxiety should watch it carefully. I get panic attacks on other pills and feel almost on the verge of that with this one."

Isibloom (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I was on Isibloom for almost a year. As long as you are the within the weight guideline or BMI, it works. I took mine at night around 9pm so I wouldn't get nauseous. The pills are super small. I didn't have insurance, I got a 3 month supply for only $15.90. They are amazing to work with."

Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I went on Kariva because I was told that it helped with acne along with being an effective birth control method. I've tried several other birth controls (including Nuvaring, Tri-Sprintec, etc.) and had VERY intense side effects from them. I finally happened upon this miracle that evened out my mood swings, gave me a shorter lighter period and gave me clearer skin than I've had in 10 years. I have ZERO complaints about this medicine."

Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I was prescribed Kariva after another birth control became too expensive. I was afraid to try it out since there were so many negative reviews, but I am happy to say that this is a magical little pill (So far). I have not experienced any weight gain, moodiness, or low libido. My acne cleared up (I'm 27 and have always battled with acne) for the most part. The only drawback is some mild discharge, but nothing to worry about. I LOVE this pill! "

Kariva (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I have been on this medication for about 5 to 6 months. And it works great for birth control. Even if you miss a pill or too by a little bit, you're still protected and it doesn't effect your period. But ever since I got on the pill, I'm not myself. I'm constantly depressed, and get bad mood swings. And my I have literally no sex-drive what so ever."

Apri (desogestrel / ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control "I took Apri for over 2 years with no side effects. My periods went from extremely heavy for 6-7 days to very light for 3-4 days. My cramps went away, skin cleared up a little bit. Then I switched to Implanon for a month. During that time I bled every single day and broke out horribly all over my chest and back. So I got that removed and went back on Apri. Since then my periods have gone back to normal, I've gone up 2 cup sizes in the last 8 months, but I have been experiencing some very mild nausea and lightheadedness. I love it overall."
