For Conjunctivitis, Allergic "Very dry eyes for more than 10 years resulting in allergy to Systane due to over use. Multiple ophthalmologist consulted did not recommend chromolyn or antihistamine drops. I was required to demand this protocol. The last two had read a study wherein antihistamine drops were favored over chromolyn; but this study now is opposed by additional post covid studies indicating cromolyn is favored over antihistamine drops. Needed at least 10 doses Cromolyn 4%, daily initially, tapering down as symptoms allowed over next two weeks. Eyes became progressively wetter 2 to 3rd week, waking up with vision clear enough to read clock face, along with with some appreciated excess tearing during day. Still improving. Product is easy to administer. Unsure of cause (lens replacement, food, pollen or med)-some light itching about face neck and nape of neck. Given the severity of my chronic dry eye condition, I am ecstatic with the improvement despite the probability of a two year treatment window."
