Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "I started taking Qulipta for migraine prevention about a year ago. It has totally changed my life. Before Qulipta, I took amitriptyline to prevent migraines but it didn’t help very much and had a whole bunch of unpleasant side effects, and even with amitriptyline, I still needed to take a migraine treatment (for acute migraine) 15 times a month or more. Qulipta made it possible for me to wean off of amitriptyline and dramatically reduced the number of migraines I get each month and the number of times I need to take an additional migraine treatment. Now I have closer to four migraines per month, and they are much less severe and the acute medicine I take (ubrelvy) stops the migraine much more effectively. Qulipta works great for me!"

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "After 30 years of chronic migraines, I am free. Prescribed Qulipta 8 months ago. I have taken every migraine headache med that's been on the market. I mean EVERY. Qulipta saved my life. I can now make plans and actually attend - no more migraines. Wish my mother was still living. She would be so happy for me. Thank you so much."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I have had a chronic, left-sided migraine, 24/7 for just over 8 years. I have had every test, tried every medicine, and nothing has ever worked for me. Injections, pills, infusions, and I have even had my Greater Auricular Nerve and temporal artery removed. I didn't have much hope for Qulipta when I tried it, but much to my surprise, it worked. My headache has been 95% better since day one. I take 60mg. It has been life-changing for me."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "I have New Daily Persistent Headache (NDPH). I’ve been on Qulipta for 2.5 months and at first, it was great! Went 10 days without a headache. Then they began to creep back in. Month two - I had two migraines, which I haven’t had in about 10 years. I went off for a couple of days. Migraines went away. Then took it again, first two days I had headaches and then another migraine. I also can’t take it at night because it gives me insomnia. When I take it in the morning, I sometimes have a histamine reaction like I have a bad cold for several hours and my eyes feel swollen, and I get constipation, and nausea. I was hopeful at first but I think it’s a no for me."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I have been having migraines since I was 11. For the past 10 years, they were every day. I would be in pain and horribly sick for days with a migraine hangover following. 8 treatments didn't work. I ended up having to use Sumitripan every day and became chemically dependent. A new doctor prescribed me Qulipta, and within a week, my migraines stopped. I may get one every 1-2 months now. It has completely changed my life. I can be around smells and light without worrying how quickly the migraine would set in. My quality of life was seriously diminished until I found Qulipta."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "Qulipta was prescribed to me for Migraine headaches. I have headaches that vary according to a pain scale of 4-9 about an average of 12 times a month, with Auras of both photophobia and photophobia, numbness and tingling in my face, body fatigue, nausea, and dizziness. Qulipta has helped diminish the headaches but also caused me to be extremely tired and dizzy from time to time. I was officially put on the highest dosage (60mg) of Qulipta in the beginning and the neurologist lowered the dose to (30mg). The higher dosage of 60 mg, caused me to not be able to function. I would sleep for 3-4 days straight, I would not be hungry or thirsty during that time because I was sleeping all the time. Pulling back on the dosage to 30 mg daily has helped me greatly. I have not been taking Qulipta for very long. I hope this continues to work. One other problem that I have with Qulipta, is $$$. I had to go through many different medications before approval by my insurance company."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "Have been on Qulipta and Ubrelvy for about 1 year now. Have suffered from migraines since I was a small, small child. I am 58 now. Tried every drug under the sun, even took ibuprofen like candy. Works have migraines that last for 30+ days. Missed a lot of work due to the migraines. Finally went to a neurologist, she offered many different options. Had an MRI and have what looks like either ischemic small vessel disease or demyelination. Triptan, topamax, and other drugs did nothing to help. She put me on Qulipta and Ubrelvy and FINALLY found relief!!! The Ubrelvy works better than any other drugs I've ever taken. The Qulipta has drastically reduced the migraines and headaches to almost nil. I highly recommend both!!!"

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I have had a constant migraine for years, making it hard to think or to do daily routines. I have tried every migraine medication out there, Qulipta is the only medication that has helped me. I do Botox every 3 months while taking Qulipta every night. Now I only have a few migraines a month and they are not as bad as they used to be. I’m so thankful for Qulipta, I got my life back."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I tried Qulipta in October of 2023. I tried to do Metamucil and other bulk products to be proactive for the constipation I read about. I put on 6ish pounds in the first week, felt bloated beyond belief, couldn’t sleep, was waking up at weird times from weird dreams… It was bad. So how did I get to giving this a perfect 10? I went back to Topamax, hated it just as much as I did before, did a TON of research on what others had posted about side effects and decided to try Qulipta again at the beginning of this year. I decided to aggressively go after the constipation and take Miralax daily if that’s what I had to do. I took my Q in the morning around 7:30 AM every day. And since I did the restart - I’ve had to use the Maxalt I normally exhausted every month in terms of the allowable pills - twice. I’m at the point where I only need the Miralax once or twice a week, I’m sleeping solidly, waking up refreshed and even working out in the morning. I LOVE QULIPTA!!!"

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "It is a wonderful miracle tablet. I take one daily in the morning and it avoids a migraine all day. This is the first relief I have had in 30 to 40 years. Too bad it's so expensive. I can't afford the prescription and have to rely on samples."

I've been on every migraine medication and prophylactic imaginable. I take Maxalt a few time a month before my period and thats it! I use to take it regularly. Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "I’ve been using 30 mg Qulipta daily as a preventative for 9 or 10 months. I used to get about 10 or more migraines a month plus almost daily headaches. Using this medication, I am down to an average of two migraines a month and less headaches. The pain of my migraines is much more bearable. It definitely causes constipation, and I’ve added magnesium to my daily regimen. I just had my annual blood draw and I now have metabolic syndrome, which includes high bad cholesterol, low good cholesterol, and significantly increased liver and kidney values. None of which I had before using Qulipta. Neurologist does not seem to think that it is Qulipta, but that is the only medication and change I’ve had in one year. I am experiencing some moderate hair loss as well. I am heavily debating stopping Qulipta for six months to see if my health values get better."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "I've been taking this drug for about a month now as a replacement for Emgality. Emgality was REALLY back and forth for me. Sometimes it worked well for the month, sometimes it felt like it lasted less than the month, other times it felt like it did nothing. I've been taking Qulipta now for about 6 weeks along with other drugs/supplements. I've had far less down time and far fewer full blown migraine days. I'm not wholly convinced yet this is the magic bullet and I don't think I can stop taking other medications along with it, but I'm fairly happy with the results so far."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I started taking Qulipta (30mg) about two weeks ago in combination with another daily preventative migraine med. I have not had a headache since starting Qulipta, so I am cautiously optimistic. I was previously having between 2-4 a week. Notable side effects are loss of appetite (I have already lost 8 lbs), dry mouth, and my mouth also feels numb. This sensation of numbness in my mouth contributes to my loss of appetite, as things just don't taste the same. I don't really get any enjoyment from eating - my favorite foods just don't taste the same, so I don't really look forward to eating anything in particular, which I don't love, but I have suffered so long with migraines that if this medication can really give me the long-term relief that I have been looking for, it's a trade-off I'll accept. My insurance did not cover the medication entirely, but my doctor gave me a savings card and after using the card at my pharmacy, the balance owed was $0!"

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I have been on Qulipta for at least 2 years, and I can honestly say that it has changed my life completely. I can go sometimes months without a migraine and when one comes, it is not nearly as bad as before. It has truly changed my life for the better!"

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "I can't say enough good about Qulipta. I used to have to take 4-10 doses per month of Zomig, and ever since being on Qulipta, I have only taken 2 doses total!!! No more migraine headaches. The downside is that the drug card only covers 2 months (I had samples for the rest) and soon I will have to come off of it because my insurance won't cover it."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I have been a lifelong headache sufferer for over 50 years, experiencing as many as 15-20 headaches a month. I have pretty much tried every option out there, from beta blockers to Botox and even acupuncture, with no real substantial benefit. I used to take 3-4 ibuprofen for each episode, but over the past 10 years, I could only take a triptan to abort the pain. I have been on only 10 mg of QULIPTA nightly for almost 3 months and have only had about 6 headaches. I haven't had too many side effects other than dealing with constipation, which I have had most of my life anyway, probably due to other meds. I'm going to stay on this for now to see how it goes for a few more months, but so far I am pleased with the results. I had to get this approved by my insurance company, and they wanted me to purchase it from a mail away service. I am currently using the Qulipta savings card, which is fantastic. I just need to purchase it at the local pharmacy."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "Before my doctor prescribed Qulipta, I was averaging 4-6 migraines a month. These were debilitating migraines that often led me to the emergency room. I started taking Qulipta in May 2023 and have not had another migraine! As a bonus, I experienced a decreased appetite which led to a 20-pound weight loss (which I needed). This medication has been life-changing for me and my family! I take one 60mg pill every evening at bedtime."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "I just started 60mg of Qulipta one week ago. I've been noticing a lot of redness primarily in my face and on my scalp since starting this med, especially after showering. It kind of feels and looks like a sunburn, with some stinging. Has anyone else had a similar experience? It's too early to tell how well it's working. I also got Botox injections the day prior to starting Qulipta. I'm hoping the combination will be effective in minimizing the number of migraines I experience."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Migraine Prevention "For the first time in my life, I am not a migraine sufferer. Qulipta has eliminated almost all headaches for me. I may experience the occasional headache, but aspirin usually takes care of them now. I've had no symptoms for the first year, but have recently begun to have back pain. I'm not certain if this is a side effect of taking Qulipta, and I'm wondering if there are other people who take Qulipta and are also experiencing back pain."

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I started taking Qulipta about 2 months ago. I've suffered from migraines since I was 3. I have had chronic headaches my whole life. I've tried so many medications, and the side effects were crazy, and I couldn't take them. This is the first medication that actually works. The only side effects I really have are constipation and fatigue. And my appetite has decreased, which is fine with me. I highly recommend!"

Qulipta (atogepant) for Chronic Migraine "I've been taking 60mg for over a year. It was a miracle at first, down to 1-2 migraines a month from 9-15. I've been starting to have more migraines again though, plus my insurance is being crappy about covering it. Nurtec, Ajovy, and all the usual meds didn't help me. I also didn't realize that yeah, the hair loss and fatigue I've been feeling is probably from Qulipta until reading more reviews, ugh. I've dealt with dry mouth, dry skin, constipation from it since the beginning."
