Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I told my doctor that I did great on the Vyvanse but simply could no longer afford it. Had me try the Adzenys with a free coupon, for me it seems like it has no effect on the ADHD but it does make me feel like I'm out of my body just a little bit, like on a body high which is great if you want that, but not if you need to work on your concentration. Seem to be getting very forgetful on it, missing turns while driving, or not even remembering that I had put my lunch in the work fridge. Only been on it for 15 days and will go back to Adderall after this 30 days. For me personally, Vyvanse was solid, Adderall does the job but not as smooth as Vyvanse, Adzenys makes me feel like I'm on an alcohol/drug cocktail, and Straterra gave me absolutely the worst side effects that I couldn't even finish the initial 30 day prescription. Hope this helps somebody because all I heard was good things about Adzenys and this thread helped me realize that some people were going through similar things."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "Wow! I was prescribed 15.7 mg Adzenys XR-odt in place of 30mg XR + 2 10mg IR Adderall due to shortage. At first, I felt spacey and anxious so I split the tab in half. After the third day, it was like a miracle, I’m more focused and it’s way smoother than the Adderall, (now taking a full pill). I feel way more like myself and I also notice that I don’t have the same edginess I did on the Adderall. I had no intention to switch medications but I don’t think I’ll be going back to Adderall as this seems to be a much better option for me. (Inattentive type). I think that initial switch was the cause of the weird feeling at first but I’m glad I stuck it out because I feel way better."

Evekeo (amphetamine) for ADHD "33 year old male. I have been off and on stimulants my whole life. I take lamictal, Cymbalta, Xanax and Evekeo. Evekeo has been an excellent medication for me and it just went generic which is a huge plus. I don't get the tunnel vision that adderall gave me, or the extremely anxious and depressed feelings I got from Adderall. Ritalin made my body, even my bones ache. I felt like I had the flu and it actually made me less effective. Vyvanse made my blood pressure extremely high and I felt like I metabolized the dose extremely fast. I felt somewhat manic on the medication. I take 30 mg of Evekeo 10, 3x per day."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I’ve been taking Adzenys XR-ODT 18.8 mg for the past month after I was unable to fill my Vyvanse script (70 mg) due to the national shortage. As someone who’s undergone a LOT of trial and error with stimulants (Ritalin, Concerta, Focalin, Dyanavel XR, Adderall XR, and Vyvanse), I can confidently say this medication does its job. Though I prefer Vyvanse overall, Adzenys does carry its fair share of benefits. Improved focus and greatly reduced impulsivity are the two that stick out the most. On the contrary, its adverse side effects can be an inconvenience with diarrhea/upset stomach and uncontrollable irritability during its “crash” being the most prominent (personally speaking). The packaging is neat in design and is extremely convenient when you’re on the go; however, the blisters are a pain to open. All together, I’d place this medication in the top 3 most effective stimulants with Adderall XR and Vyvanse being the ultimate champs."

Evekeo (amphetamine) for ADHD "18 year old college female. I've been medicated for 4 years now and tried concerta (which was hell) and Vyvanse (the devils drug). Evekeo was amazing at first kind of similar to Vyvanse and then it went downhill. Whereas on Vyvanse I just wouldn't eat and was depressed and spacey, this one didn't have side effects like that. But after awhile it made me incredibly mean, and didn't seem to take away the verbal impulse side of the hyperactivity. I'm normally an incredibly happy person but when I'm on this medicine I'm a bitch to whoever over whatever for no reason at all. It did help with the focusing though."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I am so thrown off at how many positive reviews I have seen on this stuff, however I must have an insane Ph balance (causes amphetamines to become ineffective), but I do not see how it is possible to take the highest dose they provide and not even feel nothing... like I have not taken anything at all.... The other night I got so tired that I fell asleep without warning!"

Evekeo (amphetamine) for ADHD "20 y/o college female. Keeps me alert, focused, awake. I usually wait a little bit after taking it to have caffeine, not necessary just personal preference based on how it makes me feel. Switched to it after taking vyvanse for almost a year, which was great but it eventually made me irritable. so far i have loved this medication. no side effects, but if you take a dose too late in the day it will keep you up at night. i take 5mg in the morning and then another dose when i really need to focus. shorter release so i feel like i need a nap after 4-5 hours. overall would recommend."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "Recently, I switched from taking Adderall to Vyvanse and then to Adzenys. I have been taking short-acting Adderall tablets on and off for the past twenty years, twice a day. I tried Vyvanse hoping that it would last longer during the day, up to twelve hours. Unfortunately, I experienced terrible side effects such as mood swings, insomnia, and zero focus. I tried doses ranging from 40-70mg and spent six months on it, only to switch to Adzenys. I started taking Adzenys last month, and it is more like Adderall. It provides a mellow focus and does not cause additional anxiety. However, it only lasts for about six to eight hours, and my doctor is hesitant to prescribe it twice a day. We are increasing the dose this month, and I hope it is more effective. The packaging is inconvenient, but the medication works, and the carry case is nice and fits in my locked bag for safety. The easy-to-take tabs are definitely a hazard around children because they look like candy or something. However, if you are responsible for your medications and keep them locked up for safety, it should not be a problem. The pharmacy takes a long time to restock it as well."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I just recently had to switch doctors because I moved states. Well, she switched my meds. I was on Adderall XR. It worked really well for me, but she insisted this new medication would be much better. I have now been on Adzenys for one week, and I’m miserable. I have a migraine like headache and I haven’t slept more than 3 hours at a time. I will be putting in a call tomorrow for my old adderall."

Dyanavel XR (amphetamine) for ADHD "Dyanavel XR has been a blessing to my boys. ADHD highly affected them both by the time they reached third grade. My boys are both honor roll students now in a academic challenge magnet school. I too was against meds, but I had to save my boys life. The best decision I ever made. The school is very impressed."

Dyanavel XR (amphetamine) for ADHD "My daughter has been on a few other medications. The first one worked well with a few long melt downs. They switched her to quallichew and that made her angry and defiant. She was just switched to this Dyanavel a week ago, and it's been amazing so far. Not 1 melt down about anything which is huge for her! Seems to be focused and overall a sweet and happy girl. Pray it stays this way!"

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I went through Adderall IR, Adderall XR and Vyvanse before trying Adzenys, and boy am I glad I did. Adzenys has a nice gradual come up and keeps me focused all day. At the end of the day there is absolutely no crash at all. This was always a major problem for me was the way these medications caused me to crash hard as they were wearing off. If this is an issue for you, I would suggest you ask your doctor about Adzenys. I'm glad I finally found a medication that worked so well to control my ADD."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "Adzenys 15.7mg was my saving grace. After a bunch of trial and error and months of trying other ADHD medications that never worked, I was ready to throw in the towel. I was up to a high dose of Adderall daily that I had never felt anything with besides painful crashes and Strattera made me feel wired and foggy. Adzenys was my perfect puzzle piece after constant frustration with Adderall somehow never working and Strattera inducing severe anxiety. Adzenys is a subtle jerk forward for me and doesn't wire me too hard on things to the point of being anti-social and anxious. I still feel like myself on this medication, just a version of myself that strives to be productive and aim for better habits. That being said though, my task initiation isn't really there, but once I get myself to sit down and start one, I can controllably focus on it to the degree I want. It is definitely extended-release and can feel it hit at random times harder than others, but I've never had a painful crash."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "Adzenys is the first stimulant medicine I've ever tried, I went through a very bad deprrssion from a car accident & working out, eating right & trying every antidepressant just made me even more depressed. Since taking adzenys I'm back to my old happy, energetic self! I don't have add or adhd so I can't comment on that but I do know this has helped me get over most of my depression & helped me to get back to working out & just got me of the couch & out of my rut. The energy was so immense the first week and then I started to get used to it which I've quite enjoyed, I'm not running around like a mad woman but I have the energy & the drive to be my normal self again. At first I had insomnia for a week but Benadryl helped for sure!"

Evekeo (amphetamine) for ADHD "For my limited purposes, Evekeo has worked great. I use it as a booster dose late in the day. The difference between this med and Adderall is that Evekeo is 50/50 d- and l-amphetamine, whereas Adderall is 75% d/25% l. Theoretically, that change to 50/50 should decrease the “high” dopamine feeling mg-for-mg and increase norepinephrine release which could increase cardiovascular side effects. But for me, I only take 10 mg, so it’s like a cup of coffee with better focus late in the day. At higher doses, maybe Adderall would be better, but as a booster, I find Evekeo to be effective and free of any significant side effects."

For Narcolepsy "This medicine changed my life - I have chronic fatigue and I take because I am constantly tired and have no energy. This has given me the energy I need to be a mom and a normal human being. This is the first stimulant I tried. My doctor prescribed me adderall After my insurance wouldn't cover it and there are major differences. Adderall xr makes me on edge and nasty but the adzenys doesn't give me any side effects besides appetite loss. Will take this forever"

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I have taken Adderall XR for several years and found that long acting amphetamine was the best treatment for my ADHD. However, I frequently had issues remembering to take it in the mornings and would often forget to take my medicine. Adzenys XR-ODT is so convenient in the blister pack I remember to take it, and the orange flavor is great! It lasts all day andI don't get a bad crash at the end of the day like I used to with my Adderall XR. Also, got first month free and pay only $25 per month with co-pay card"

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I was taking 2 of the 20 mg Adderall a day and they wore off quick. Doctor had tried my son on this new medicine and worked for him. So I asked our doctor to switch me also, only draw back was that no one in our town carries it. I could either drive an hour to a Walgreens that carried or wait a week for the Walgreens in our town to get it in. Said they won't just order this medicine to keep on hand until we have filled 4 prescriptions which I thought made no sense. Luckily our local CVS has it on hand and the $25 coupon our doctor gave us has been wonderful. With our insurance it would cost $89 but was able to get the first prescription FREE!! And then each one after for $25.."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "Simply the best. The only side effect of this med is increased concentration and dry mouth :). It doesn't make me feel like my heart is racing or that my blood pressure is up. I'm really happy with this med. I had a hard time sticky with Concerta and other off brands, and I didn't like any of the adderall products. Since starting this, I haven't missed a single dose."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "This medication didn't come close to helping me the way my regular Adderall does. That being said I am going to stick with what I KNOW works but that's just me. Now I've heard others swear by Adzenys & wonder where its been all of their lives which I think is great. Just like any other drug what works for one may be rubbish 4 another. Adzenys is a fairly new drug on the market so of course Drs everywhere are going 2 B pushing it right now. I've worked in the medical field & I've seen Drs promote meds that they weren't even crazy about.. It just depended on what the drug rep looked like for that particular med & how they themselves were going to benefit by writing the drug. I'm not saying Adzenys is bad I'm just saying 4 me it didn't work."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I was very disappointed with varying generics of Adderall XR for my combined ADHD. Brand was better but caused some side effects. Adzenys ODT is a million times better than either. I think my body doesn't respond well to amphetamine salts (Adderall) but does to amphetamine base (Adzenys). Or maybe some of the inactive ingredients that are artificial sweeteners in Adderall (aspartame for example) are reacting badly; I know I can't eat/drink any foods with aspartame or saccharine without getting headaches and low blood sugar, but this would still not explain why the active amphetamine in Adzenys works so much better for me, so I'm going to have to go with the salt vs base hypothesis. Adzenys doesn't make me sleepy like Adderall XR/IR, feels cleaner and smoother, works better for ADHD symptoms like impatience, impulsivity, procrastination, avolition, and task initiation and completion. I just wish there was an Adzenys IR."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "At first this medication worked great. Now I noticed a couple of side effects. Soreness in legs, increase urination, but worst of all was the increased agitation and dry mouth. On the plus side the medication work better then other ADHD on the market. It has increased focus and helped level off my energy. I built up a fast tolerance using the 9.3 mg. I Have only taken it for two months helpfully it keeps work!"

Evekeo (amphetamine) for ADHD "I enjoyed Evekeo. It was great when it came to improving focus. I also have shift work disorder so for me stimulants are great as they help me overcome the hump I hit every morning when I just want to go to bed and sleep all day. My wife complained that I was getting really hard to live with compared to normal. I knew I was more irritable than normal. Over the 5 months I took it I did feel like the level of irritabilty and arguementativeness was steadily increasing. Stopped taking when my wife told me I was starting to become unbearable. I usually get 2 migraines a year but while on evekeo I had 3 in 5 months."

Adzenys XR-ODT (amphetamine) for ADHD "I'm on day 2 of adzenys. I like that I take it once. But the texture is gritty once dissolved. It's a dissolvable pill so what do you expect? I do experience dry mouth and slight decrease in appetite but it's nothing serious. My doctor started me on a pediatric dose of 6.3 milligrams once a day. Another problem I see is that I'm having a hard time falling asleep. It could be because I take the medication around 11 o'clock in the morning but that's the time I get up. So it's honestly too early for me to tell.we will see once I get a routine going and school starts again."

Evekeo (amphetamine) for ADHD "Having a high metabolism, my medications wear off very quickly. Dr and I talked about trying Evekeo but decided to try adding one more dose of Adderall XR to the mix. When that didn’t help, tried Evekeo and discountinued the Adderal XR but kept the afternoon doses of IR. As for Evekeo, I had a very bad reaction to it. My face broke out and not pimples but sores that are now going to scar My depression (which I haven’t had in awhile due to consistency of taking medication) was three times worse, I went to a very dark place, I went days without sleeping, no motivation or drive to do anything, very irritable, very mean, not social at all, terrible intrusive thinking, pushed away anyone that was close to me, no appetite at all, headaches, muscle soreness and vomiting/diarrhea. Thankfully we stopped the medication, but I don’t want to feel like this ever again!"
