For Pain "I was prescribed Tylenol #3 following a wisdom tooth extraction on my right side. Unfortunately for me, Tylenol#3 did nothing for the pain unless I took 2 pills, even then the discomfort never went away. Pain was excruciating and the buzz/pain relief only lasted a couple of hours. ADVIL and an ICE PACK did a better job than this drug. If your doctor prescribes this to you following a surgical procedure/extraction, PLEASE try to request something BETTER. I had my left side wisdom teeth extracted and was prescribed oxycodone by my previous surgeon. Pain was incredibly tolerable and the recovery was a breeze! It's unfortunate that these new doctor's are so scared to prescribe what these pills were designed for - REAL PAIN - not everyone is trying to catch a buzz..."

For Pain "I was prescribed this for abdominal pain after having a baby. Keep in mind I have a very high pain tolerance, but this helped me a lot. I was in a pretty good amount of pain, and although it didn't take away all the pain, I was able to get up and take care of my newborn and 3 year old toddler. Also I have been breastfeeding and sometimes my newborn vomits. I'm not sure if it's the medicine or that she has just been drinking too fast"

For Pain "It dulled the edge of my tooth pain but it does not take it away. I can’t lay down with the type of tooth pain I have and it’s almost unbearable most of the day unless I’m carrying cold water in my mouth. This medication is a joke and makes me feel drunk and confused, on top of the fact is plugs you up, it’s also caused me withdrawal when it wears off."

For Pain "After I was discharged from intensive care, I reported no pain, and no pain killers were given previously. After given Tylenol 3 in liquid form, and I started to experience pain with an extra large headache. The pain was in my eyes, temples, and ears not to mention throat. I got cold and my legs started to shake. Then I experienced more swelling in my throat than before, but I thought that this was post op normal. After the second dose I started to panic quietly inside and I couldn't get liquid Advil out of my mind! The nurse only had tablets, so my husband arrived and rushed me to the pharmacy to get some Chldrens liquid Advil, and 30 minutes later I was pain free! I'm not touching my prescription for Tylenol 3 and will tell the doc ASAP."

For Pain "I just started on these Tylenol with Codeine #3, I have had chronic pain since 2005 and have been on norco for 8 yrs for a fusions in neck. My sister was dying in hospice and I was packed to go be with her in last days and out of the blue they called for a pill count> mind you<they haven't called for pill count in 8 yrs. And I said one cuss word to the girl because she said you may get kicked out and they did because of me cussing - true story - so I had to find someone else and started me on tylonol with codeine useless for pain, the other doctor messed me up."

For Pain "This pill does 100 percent absolutely nothing. For the people who are saying it works, I'm convinced it’s just a placebo for you guys cause it really does nothing, like at all, no effect or anything it does nothing I promise you. Ibuprofen works like 14x better."

For Pain "I have been taking this medicine since 2017, and in 4 hour intervals, it really does help and like people have said on here, we need our pain medicine. I was born with a prominent vertebrae around T11, that is visibly posteriorly pushed outward. The pain gets bad in the morning and at the end of the day, my saving grace is the Tylenol 3. 100 tabs per month, the pharmacy considers it a 16 day supply but I stretch the 100 tabs to a 30 day supply by taking them every 5 hours while I’m awake… totalling 3-4 per day."

For Pain "I take Tylenol 3 for tension migraines. For about 5 years, I took two pills and they eliminated the pain within 45-60 minutes. Worked every time for 5 years, and only recently has effectiveness decreased. A couple of months ago, I had to increase my dosage to 2.5 pills to achieve the same result. Tylenol 3 only works for my migraines. I recently had dental work done, and had to take something stronger for the pain."

For Pain "I take Tylenol 3 for tension migraines. For about 15 years, I took two pills and they eliminated the pain within 30 minutes. Worked every time for 15 years, and only recently has effectiveness decreased. A couple of months ago, I had to increase my dosage to 3 pills to achieve the same result. I have talked to a lot of people and they have said the same thing. I think they have changed the drugs in the pills now."

For Pain "Barely touched the pain. Went from a level 9 to level 8. I was previously on butrans patches that worked wonderfully and took me down to a lever 5/4 pain but it made me severely nauseous so I was switched to codeine. Do not recommend."

For Pain "I got a 4x wisdom tooth extraction and frenectomy (tongue tie cut) and not only was the procedure preformed with only local anaesthetic which started to wear off 15 minutes after I walked out the door, but the T3s I was prescribed did practically nothing alone. My roommate suggested I take some ibuprofen as well, and the combination of the two has worked pretty well- I'm still pretty sore but I'm able to function. Overall I'm pretty annoyed at how limited it is as a form of pain management, but since a major function is to reduce swelling I'm willing to give it a bit of a pass. Also, it was hard to swallow and tasted like rubbish since it was a pressed tablet that sticks to your tongue+roof of mouth, especially with a swollen and sore mouth"

For Pain "It makes you feel woozy for like 10 minutes, almost like a high feeling and then all the pain comes back. It doesn't work at all. Also, it makes my whole body sore and it says to take this every 4 hours. That's ridiculous. I would've much preferred Ibuprofen 800mg, you take it every 8 hours and it really lasts the whole time."

For Pain "I went to a urgent care for severe toothache and they gave me 300mg Tylenol /30 codeine phosphate mg and I went home and took one and 20 minutes later I started itching so I call the clinic this morning. Also I can’t take NSAIDS due to reflux . This is scary medicine and I try to get a different one and can’t because is a control substance. I told them I will drop the bottle off and they say no ."

For Pain "I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed yesterday morning and it’s been incredibly painful. The swelling is terrible and I can’t close my mouth, let alone move it at all. I was prescribed T-3 and it’s doing nothing for me. It takes more than an hour to “kick in” whatsoever, and then wears off within another hour or 2 (and I’m taking the max dosage, which is 2 tablets every 4 hours). This is awful."

For Pain "Worked very well for me when combined with gabapentin 300 mg three times a day for bad tooth pain. I had a 5 out of 10 pain including a badly bruised ankle from a work injury. I feel the bad reviews are from people who took generics or are in very bad pain and their doctors won't give the right meds."

For Pain "I was just prescribed this for a tooth extraction. It has barely done anything, if at all- to ease any of my pain. Generic ibuprofen has worked better. I took my prescription pill at 9pm and its almost midnight and hasn't 'kicked in' yet. So I've got to wait a bit to take ibuprofen. The pills I was prescribed doesn't show a mg and the dentist office told me that's the strongest they give! I am now wondering if the antibiotics they gave will even help!"

For Pain "It doesn't work for the pain. It's hard to get out of bed and walk back and forth to work. Doctors need to get with the program. They see what's going on and know the pain is severe, so do something about the pain so people can be active and able to work."
