Hypothetically if a patient is on 2 mg of xanex bid, is the dose of Klonipin equal at 2mg bid or more or less

Dosage alone, they are equal; so 2 mg xanax is equal to 2 mg klonopin. It's the half-life that varies dramatically. The half-life of xanax is 6-12 hours, while the half-life of klonopin is 18-50 hours.
The half-life is the time taken for blood concentration to fall to half its peak value after a single dose. In other words, the klonopin remains in your blood much, much longer.
