... catecholamines because the new cardiologist I saw suspects I may have an adrenal tumor. I have the majority of the symptoms. Labile hypertension, tachycardia, palpitations, headaches, nausea, etc. 2 months prior to seeing a cardiologist because of the sudden onset tachycardia and palpitations, I was seen in the ER for a soaring blood pressure episode that I didn't understand and the ER doc gave me metoprolol succ er. Now that I think I know whats wrong with me the metoprolol seems to be doing a pretty good job containing this defect until I can be properly diagnosed and treated. Should I consider myself reasonably safe until I'm diagnosed and in the operating room?
