My wife has not been satisfied with the efficacy of Geodon, for audio hallucinations. She has Asenapine (generic Saphris) to be picked up at the pharmacy but is concerned about changing to a new medication. She has had some bad experiences trying other anti-psychotics since taken off of Risperdal due to high prolactin levels. Anyone's feedback is appreciated. I realize experiences can very a lot. She will just have to try and see how it goes. By the way it is 5mg's twice daily of asenapine, to be picked up and started today.
What are people's experiences switching from Geodon to Saphris?

It took me a while to get adjusted to saphris. I slept great at night but when I took it in the morning I felt like I had to lay back down I was so tired. The medicine works great for my moods so my dr switched me to the patch which works much better for me. She might have a different experience though so let her try it out. Good luck!
