On Dec. 29th, 2011 I had what I thought would be my last period for awhile. It was heavy for about 5 days. I received the Depot Lupron shot on Jan 5th. After the 5 days of my period, I contintued to spot up until January 11th. Once I quit spotting, I thought I would not have my period again until my 6 shots of Depot Lupron were finished. However, on Jan. 20th, 2012 I started my period! It is very heavy like my other periods. I had 6 depot lupron shots in 2005 and 6 in 2008. During those rounds, I did not have my period after the first shot.

I had a lupron depot 11.25mg shot on 8/5/2019 and got my period 1 day after since I stopped oral contraceptives as the same time. Doctor told me it takes 2weeks to kick in so I expected it to be my last period. Now on 9/7/2019 I’m bleeding and cramping again, just like a normal period. This is freaking me out and it’s on Saturday. Will have to wait till Monday to call my doctor.

I am curious about what the doctor told you. Is it normal that you have cramps and bleeding after 2 months? What happened to you after talking To the doctor?
I have the same now after 8 weeks. Called the doctor, but Monday I Will know more

I would speak to your doctor. I just finished three months of lupron before my surgery. I did not get my period but everyone is different. I was so worried about taking the lupron because of the side effects, but for me it made my surgery a success and I would take it again if I had to. I wish you the best of luck.

I am 48 and have had 2 of the 3 shots of Lupron. These shots are to prepare me for a hysterectomy, as I have been diagnosed as having a lot of Fibroid Tumors that have been causing me heavy bleeding. Also found that I have a couple of cists that are causing me pain.The first shot helped me,as it stopped my period. I felt great! However,the second one did not stop it,as I still have my period and I have really noticed the mood swings. Irritated very easy,and speaking my mind. Not good.I suggest meditation and a lot of alone time and exercise.I have also noticed a lot of cramping which my doctor recommended 600 mg of ibuprofen.I am due for my 3rd shot in a couple of weeks. I hope the time flies as I am tired of being a woman right now.I hope this helps anyone going through any of these symptoms.

I got the three month Lupron. and I have all the side effects of this drug . even the so called rare one . I still bleeding . I am cramping. hot flashes ,nausea vomiting pain mood swing. loss of appetite. I just be glad when this over and I can get my surgery

Hi everyone I was wondering I have had 4 Lupron injections and with every injection I get a very heavy period after it. Is this normal or ok? My doctor seems to think so I'm worried he's wrong

Hi ladies,
I recently had my luprun shot July 27th and had my cycle start on August 7th in a vengeance. It was supposed to have ended on the 12th but I am back spotting going on day 4. I am concerned but my doctor is not listening to my concerns. I even have symptoms of insomnia, loss of appetite, bad mood swings, followed by the hot flashes. I feel like I am going crazy in some aspects. My concentration is also bad. Can someone plz give me some advice because I don't want another shot. I also have been given an iron transfusion because the pills make me really sick.

I recently got a Lupron injection May 30 th to be exact, I ended up in the ER with the most severe cramping ever, my hyst was originally scheduled for late August, but has since been moved up to July 23rd, I’m bleeding so heavy and cramping is this the only way to go? I can’t survive like this until July.
