was taking perindoprill 4mg for 28 days, bp was unchanged, so now been put on candesartan 8mg for a months trial

Yes, you should see some results in 2 days. It is however difficult to assess the benefits in 2 days, unless you have a blood pressure machine and can check you blood pressure to see if there has been a drop from 2 days ago.

Over the past 3 months, I have tapered down from 24mg to 8mg/day. And for the first time, my blood pressure has shot up to unhealthy levels. (158/94)
