My Dr recently put me on 5mg of Addaroll and 7.5mg of Deplin for ADHD and depression. Im afraid to stay on it.. I've taken the Addaroll a couple of times then stopped it.. And the same with Deplin. Dr says to take the Addaroll in the am then the Deplin at lunch.. Anyone taking these two together? I need some good honest advise.
Can you take Deplin Without taking an antidepressant?

If you have a deficiency in the enzyme that converts folate to methylfolate the CNS won't get any. Not sure if this is a serious problem. I would err on the safe side and keep on taking Deplin until I knew the answer. I take it with Cymbalta. I have the enzyme deficiency but not convinced the Deplin makes any difference in reducing the depression. Make sure that you have the enzyme deficiency if not yet verified by lab work. Otherwise you might be getting scammed.
Yes, you can take Deplin without taking an antidepressant. Deplin is simply folic acid which helps the functioning of red blood cells. It does enhance the functioning of antidepressants, but if you are anemic will help that too. Not sure whether it affects the functioning of adderall.
I am on Pristique and Deplin and feel great, my body was not producing enough folic acid, reason for me crying alot, alot better now,
Excellent. I think folic acid levels are often over looked.
