For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I am on day 4 of the 5 day treatment and I the only thing that is happening is that I'm getting more sick by the day. I went back to the Dr. on day 3 and said that it was getting worse (can barely swallow my own saliva) and he said that it takes the full 5 days, maybe even 6, to work. This is definitely NOT the antibiotic for me. Just wanted to share in case someone else is getting this run-around. I have to get some different antibiotics because apparently I am 100% immune to this kind."

For Sinusitis "My symptoms of sinusitis grew rapidily over 24 hours BEFORE taking this antibiotic. I started out with allergy symptoms, Only on my left side. 8 hours into it I had a pounding headache and my face and nose hurt really bad. I suffer from anxiety and had a bad experience last year while taking over the counter cold/allergy meds, so this year I was definitely not going to medicate myself up and decided to go to the doctor. my dr. visit was on the second day of being sick & I was full blown with what I thought had turned into a flu.Coughing was mild and mostly because i was dizzy so i felt nauseous and would cough. Chills, sweats, shakes, worst headache ever, nose and face hurt so bad. took 2 pills felt better in 5 hours"

Azithromycin Dose Pack (azithromycin) for Sinusitis "This azithromycin antibiotic is the best! I’m a first grade teacher and seem to get sick easily even with homeopathic medicines and extreme hygienic practices. It starts with sore throat then congestion in nose and throat. Excessive phlegm development and coughing. I try OTC first NYQUIL Mucinex and Vick’s rub, but the 5 day azithromycin Z pack always gets rid of it! I worry about being on it now 2x a year but I heard it is less harmful or strong as others so it’s safe."

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "The z pak cleared up my bronchitis right away. However it almost instantly caused symptoms of gastritis and pancreatis that made me very ill for five months. I could eat very little but was rapidly losing weight. My doctor found low liver and kidney enzymes and suggested futher tests. A endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, several lab tests and $1700 later there was no diagnosis but after five months i gradually got better. The next winter I got another cold that turned into bronchitis and was again prescribed a z-pak. Almost immediately the same symptoms occurred and I was just as sick for another 5 months. This time the connection was clear - Z-PAK."

For Bronchitis "It useful to have azithromycin along with steroids (Deltasolone) too (for those with asthma). I have found when prescribed only azithormycin on its own it wasn't sufficient. Seem to need the boost of steroids alongside the antibiotic for a few days to help kick the extended cough. The lungs are too inefficient to remove the mucus effectively. Many doctors seem to not know about this. After years of travel I discovered this from a doctor in Malaysia who also had asthma - so understood how colds and infections are so difficult for an asthmatic to recover from."

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "My bronchitis was so severe that the only way I would be able to board my flight to South America in 3 days was with the z-pack. I took 2 pills right at the doctor's office and headed back to the office. I was in complete disbelief when within 3 hours of taking the first 2 pills my overall condition had improved tremendously. I am glad that I didn't experience any adverse symptoms while on it, but I know of some people that unfortunately are not able to take this medication."

For Bronchitis "worst flu I have ever had that turned into Bronchitis. Doctor prescribed this - two tabs first day and then 1 a day for four days. On my third day and incredible difference - no more scary cough. I had no side effects, but it sounds like some people do."

For Pneumonia "So, I had walking pneumonia for a little while and didn't know. No symptoms Then I got chest pain, went to the ER they sent me to the asthma room, and the albuterol treatments (all 3) only made my chest feel tighter. So they put me on the oxygen and I instantly felt better, they decided to try albuterol again, and I stopped breathing I was immediately intubated and ended up with a collapsed lung found out I had an asthma attack WHILE having pneumonia. I was in the ICU, most of my meds were given intravenously so I wasn't aware much of what I was given until I was released, the zithromax is great I feel better already. But even eating I have burning diahrea. I'm fine with it. I'd rather survive than complain about poop."

For Otitis Media "I am allergic to penicillin so Zithromax is the alternative before getting into the heavy stuff like Cipro and Levaquin. I have been taking Zithromax for years and always get relief around day 3. The loose stools are normal, it means Zithromax is working and the bacteria is being flushed out of your system."

For Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis "This is my second round of 5 azithromycin tabs, not working for tonsillitis. I have had the diarrhoea, burning throat and sore stomach. This all worries me because of the Covid 19. No major fever yet! I wouldn't recommend this med, to hit or mis!"

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "I would be very careful taking this antibiotic if you have heart issues. I have mitral valve prolapse and tachycardia and this antibiotic made it worse after one dose. I asked my doctor 3 times if it was okay to take if you have heart problems and she said yes. I’ve since read that it could cause an arrhythmia issue. Well great I already have that. Thinking about changing doctors now. Definitely will avoid this antibiotic in the future."

Azithromycin Dose Pack (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "Took the 5 day Z-pack for this bronchitis I have had a month now. After the 1st day I felt great, but then downhill from there. 6 days after finishing it I wound up in the E.R., they gave the Z-pack again...much to my chagrin. I finished it 3 days ago and while I have more energy, my cough is still bad. I know the infection is still there, my white blood cell count is high at 18,000, but they also put me on Prednisone which causes high white blood cell count. So they can't differentiate/determine cause of high white count, if infection or prednisone. Chest x-ray shows bronchitis. Friends who've had bronchitis are suggesting Bactrim, will discuss with my doctor."

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "Waited 10 days to go to the doctor thinking I had bronchitis! I wish I would’ve went to the doctor sooner because I was miserable coughing my head off with phlegm, terrible headaches, fatigue, congestion, and sweats. I ended up having and upper respiratory infection and was given a z pack. After day one I felt soooo much better and was ready to go back to work. I am on day 4 and still coughing up infection, hoping that’s ends soon! Also everyday after I take the pill I get some pretty bad abdominal pain and have to run to the bathroom but only lasting about an hour. I would say the stomach ache is definitely worth it!"

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "I took a total of two doses: two caplets day one and one caplet on day two. That night I had horrible night sweats that soaked through two sets of pyjamas. My heart was racing and I had a metallic taste in my mouth. Stopped taking it. My bronchitis has been going away without it and finally one week after I stopped taking it I'm no longer sweating, bad taste is gone and my heart rate is back to normal."

For Bronchitis "I have used this numerous times for both bronchitis and sinusitis and it has always worked great for me. The 5 day z-pack is great. I don't have to take a pill for 14 days and that is awesome. Every time I have taken it, I have experienced stomach pain on the first day but each day following it, no problems. This medicine is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants fast and effective relief!!"

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "Upper respiratory infection Zithromax 250mg My doctor gave me a z pak 2 tabs on day 1 followed by 1 tablet the next 4 days. Total tablets 6. Zithromax is the generic drug for Azithromycin. First time prescribed. **Note I have asthma** and was feeling more fatigued and light headed. Drugs.com interaction* checker* pointed out that since I used 2 inhalers. A. Pro-Air and 2. Advair that my potasium level would be affected. A moderate interaction warning. I started drinking gatorade and began to feel better. My mom is diabetic, and gatorade makes flavored 12oz bottles that has potassium and will not affect your blood sugar."

Azithromycin Dose Pack (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "I was prescribed and took the Azithromycin pack (Z Pack) when I came down with an acute case of Bronchitis. It was the traditional 2 pills at the first dose, and then 1 pill each following day. I started to feel a noticeable improvement by day 3, and was nearly completely better 7-8 days later. The medicine definitely worked for me, however, the side effects were strongly unpleasant. I had severe stomach pains, along with diarrhea, even when I did take the pills with food. Since the pills work for 10 days, i had the side effects for that long too. Overall though, I happy I took the Z pack and it helped cure me quickly."

For Chlamydia Infection "I found out I had Chlamydia after I was sexually assaulted, first thing I did was read these reviews, I SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THAT!!! I have a phobia of being ill, even the slightest headache or tummy ache and I'm having panic attacks! Anyway, I was prescribed four 250mg tablets, and was told to take them all at once, so I ate some toast and had a cup of tea just to line my stomach at around 10am, felt sick just taking them due to the reviews, took all four tablets around 10:30am and waited for the inevitable, but never the less, two days later and I had NO SYMPTOMS, very very slight nausea about half an hour after taking them but wouldn't even call it nausea, just the feeling as if you've eaten a bit too much! Nausea from anxiety is way worse than what I experienced with these tablets, don't scare yourself with the reviews, some of the people on here just had very unfortunate reactions! But it's not the same for everybody"

For Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis "Woke up with chills and my throat on fire and went to urgent care the next day. I was prescribed a z-pack because I’m allergic to penicillin. The first day I got diarrhea, the second day I got diarrhea, the third day same thing and my symptoms worsened and seemed to spread to my left ear. I can’t sleep a full night and can barely eat. I cringe every time I swallow. I’m disgusted with the health industry and poor antibiotics."
