For Pneumonia "People, azithromycin not only kills the bad bacteria, but also the good bacteria in your gut and intestinal tract, which immediately causes flaming diarrhea! You must get a potent probiotic to take along with the med. The one that works great for me has acidophilus in it. Relieves the problem almost immediately. I don’t know why the HECK doctors don’t mention this! "

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I came back from the U.K. with a terrible chest cold. I spent the first week drinking tons of water and hot tea and lounging on the couch with a heating pad on my chest. I finally went to the doctor who took a chest x-ray to make sure there was no pneumonia or bronchitis. He prescribed Tussionex cough medicine which worked great on the cough and helped me sleep like a baby. After two days the cold worked its way up into my throat and ear canals and I lost my voice. Called the doctor back who prescribed azithromycin. After 1 day I was feeling much better, but still not quite myself. After 2 days I was able to function almost normally. I've taken the 3rd dose today and am hopeful that I will be even better today."

For Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis "This was the wonder pill for me. I was prescribed this alongside a steroid pack and told to take 3-4 regular ibuprofens for the pain in my throat. Let me say, it was VERY severe; I couldn't swallow much, hadn't eaten. I woke up the next day with NO fever and much less swelling and pain. This is my second day on this antibiotic."

For Bronchitis "I had a sinus and bronchitis infection got the 5 day azithromycin treatment pack. Also given 5 days of steroids. Feeling better after second full day of treatment so amazing how quickly it worked. I did sleep 12 hours the first day of treatment which helped. I had been coughing up nasty stuff for a week. Side effects aren't bad just follow Dr orders. Eat with the z pack pill . drinks lots of water 6 bottles a day and get tons of rest if you can. If you get a headache take what you normally take to get rid of it. All in all the z pack works for what it's meant for. I'm glad it works for me..just eat, drink lots water & rest if you can."

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "I'm on the 3rd day of the 5-day treatment (2 pills on day 1 and 1 pill each of the next 4 days) and have had no bad side effects when taking this medication. My bronchitis finally seems to be clearing up and I'm pleased with this medication."

For Bronchitis "I went to a baseball game and was severely chilled. Thought I had a bad cold/ allergies which turned into a bronchial infection. After 48 hours of continual coughing, I called the dr. The on call physician prescribed the Z-pack. It's been 8 hours and I'm feeling much better. I've got thyroditis and cannot take decongestants and over the counter medicines. While I know we try to not take antibiotics in order to avoid resistance, I think it is worth getting an antibiotic instead of allowing your resistance to get so low that recovery will take longer and weaken your system."

For Pneumonia "Diagnosed with pneumonia, had no real cough, just very tired and a little short of breath sometimes. I took the first dose, terrified after reading all the stuff in here, but manned up and took it. I started to cough stuff up out of my lungs within a couple of hours. It did cause a rapid heart rate, that kind of freaked me out, but still coughing up and clearing those lungs out. I am hoping to be 100% soon."

For Bronchitis "Took for bronchitis. Antibiotics normally don't treat me kindly, but would gladly take an upset stomach and diarrhea for a few days then have to deal with pneumonia. I did feel more anxious on it, but that's just something that happens. Woke up sweating with a racing heart one night. I had a wild fever at the time, so that was probably the cause. A lot of people tend to leave reviews only when they've had a bad experience with the drug. I assure you, there's plenty of positive experiences. I wasn't side-effect free. Buuuuut I'm now bronchitis free! Sometimes, you gotta take one for the team. Stay healthy, folks."

Azithromycin Dose Pack (azithromycin) for Sinusitis "Sinusitis was so bad that my teeth even hurt. Now on day 2 of azithromycin, pain about 80% resolved. Absolutely no side effects. Have taken azithromycin in past for sinusitis and consistently note resolution prior to completion of 5 day pack."

For Bronchitis "Took the 6 pac after two weeks of suffering from Bronchitis. After the first dose of two pills I slept soundly for a long time and felt maybe 90% better. Now finished all 6 pills. Feeling so much better but still cough at times. I was told the medication will stay in body for 5 days after finishing. So maybe in five more days this thing will be finally gone."

For Pneumonia "I had to write this review because everyone else's reviews freaked me out so much before taking this antibiotic. I have a very sensitive stomach and if there is a side effect to a medication, I usually get it. I took this with food and I had no problems at all. No nausea, no stomach pains, no diarrhea, no hives, nothing. Only reason I didn't give this antibiotic ten stars is because I was hoping to feel better at this point. I just took my last dose and i definitely feel better, but still have a ways to go. All in all, I would recommend this antibiotic and do not be so afraid of the other reviews. Take with food and you will be fine."

For Sinusitis "Horrible medication!!!! After taking a third pill I started to have an excrutiating pain in my ear and within several hours I lost partially my hearing in both ears. I have looked up the side effects in the enclosed flyer and also online and there is a FDA warning that this antibiotics is linked to a hearing loss! I almost had a heart attack reading it. I have informed my Dr. but they say they never heard of anything like that (of course). I didn't finished taking the prescribed dose. My hearing has improved a little bit but it has been more that 2 weeks and I still can't hear well. My ears are ringing and clicking and I am so scared that this might be permanent. Has this happened to anybody else?"

For Bronchitis "I too get bronchitis every year when the weather changes, and I swear by Z-packs. It is also wonderful for strep throat. Yes, diarrhea is a side effect of nearly all antibiotics but I tell ya, I'd rather perch on the toilet than cough until I bust blood vessels in my eyes. "

For Chlamydia Infection "Do NOT be scared to take this medicine. I was reading these reviews for over a week tearing myself up over taking this and I am someone who is deathly afraid of taking new medications. And what happened when I took the azithromycin? Nothing. Nothing happened. Not one side effect. Take it with food. It does not matter what food you take it with I took it an hour after I had junk food. And take it before you go to sleep and don’t overthink it. It is like you took an ibuprofen. Now I just have to hope it gets rid of the infection."

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "For about 10 days now, I had a VERY bad cough, and severe congestion in my lungs (coughed SO much till I thought I were going to actually break a rib )...went to my local emergency room, where the attending doctor sent me home with a 'Z Pack' (5 day regimen of the Zithromax, PLUS a bottle of GUAIFENSIN cough syrup). I'm now on my third day of these antibiotics and am not, thankfully, coughing as much as I did."

For Sinusitis "After 5 days of terrible dry hacking cough causing chest muscles to be sore and being unable to function, I went to the Dr. and he prescribed the Z Pak. On day 2 and I see results. It is loosening up all the congestion. I am finally a little better. I have a ways to go but I do see good results. When I talked to the pharmacist, he suggested eating something light before taking even though you can take on an empty stomach. He said some get upset stomach after taking so I took his advice and having no problems. I tried Mucinex before seeing the Dr. but got no results this time. Glad I went in for a checkup."

For Chlamydia Infection "Worst experience ever. Do not take it before bed if you want to sleep. Took 2x500mg azithromycin pills at 9pm. At 11pm had worst cramps, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and diarrhea 3 times. Managed to fall asleep at 1am. Suffering was horrible. Please use condoms and don't trust any guy that says he was tested. What everyone says is true and worse."

For Chlamydia Infection "Yep. Got the positive and took the prescription as soon as I could after getting it from the pharmacy. I ate a little before but ate my lunch after taking it. Exactly 2 hours later everything hit me like a wall. Stomach cramps, dizziness, nausea, and the dreadful stomach bubbles. Currently in bed waiting for it all to subside. Hopefully this will work."

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "Woke up the other morning in tears not able to breathe. I did two breathing treatments and still very little relief. Went to ER and was prescribed this and I kid you not by the next morning after taking the 6, I felt 100% better. I am choking on a lot of mucus but I guess that's because it's being broken up now. This is the greatest medication I have taken in a while. It truly worked wonders. My hands are very itchy but I don't even care! I can breathe!!"

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Otitis Media "Had strep throat and double ear infection including one ruptured ear drum. Was so sick, but after 24 hours on Z-Pak, major turn-around with 80% recovery within 48 hours. Much faster and more effective than Amoxicillin or similar."

For Bronchitis "It started a month ago where I developed a cold and it went into a bad cough. It was scary and then I lost my voice. My doctor prescribed azithromycin, I decided to look at the reviews and I thought yikes I'm not taking this, One person said the side effects were worse that the illness. Three weeks later I got rid of my cold to get it back one week later but this time the cough turned into bronchitis. Now that cough scared me so bad I decided to look at the positive reviews. One woman said you have to try it first and I did and wow three days on the medicine my cough is almost gone. Side effects,, sore stomach for a few minutes after taking it.. mild headache.. compared to that cough I have nothing to complain about. Life is good again :)"

Zithromax (azithromycin) for Bronchitis "I had the most horrible case of a bronchial infection. I was sick for almost a week. I went to the doctor, I was prescribed a 250mg Z-pack. I began to feel better on the second day, which is where I am now. I am beginning to cough up some phlegm that was making my chest feels so very tight.so far I am not experiencing any side effects. I do take it during a midday snack. I have rated it a 10 so far based on my personal experience. I just hope it clears this completely up."
