"I used Ticonazole 1 day treatment because it is reported to have a better effect against the yeast infection than miconazole. I experienced absolutely no discomfort or problems, and found my yeast infection to be quite cleared up by the medication. I would recommend the medication to others based on my favorable experience."

"I of course took this medicine without reading the reviews, and sure enough I got the horrible side effects a lot of women are saying on here. Extreme vaginal swelling, and discomfort. I immediately squeezed as much of this out of my vagina as I could, I took some ibuprofen, and iced my lady bits. Why is this medication even being sold if so many people are having a nightmare of an experience? Never again! I’m hoping to not have to go to quick care tomorrow with this embarrassing symptom. I’m hoping it will feel better in the morning, as this woke me up at 1AM."

"I got a yeast infection after a long course of antibiotics for sinus infection. I bought the Dollar General one day treatment. I had absolutely no problems with it. In reading the reviews, I was apprehensive, but didn't want to drive 20 miles to the nearest drugstore. The only thing I experienced was a warm feeling...not at all painful or uncomfortable in any way. I don't know why so many of the reviews were so awful, but everyone is different. This was the first yeast infection I ever had in my life (62 yrs old). I would recommend it. No problem whatsoever."

"I was on day 5 of the itching and although I was feeling a little better I decided to use this to just knock it out and WOW did I make a HUGE MISTAKE. I woke up in the middle of the night burning and itching sooooo badly I was considering going to the ER! I was in tears, it was so bad! The YI ended up lasting 4 more days and I now know to never ever buy OTC medication for this particular problem ever again."

"Went to Walmart looking for Monistat 1 but they were out so I bought Tioconazole 1, I showered and did my regular cleaning routine and laid down and inserted it and rubbed what was left on the outside. I immediately felt relief, the itching stopped right away and the soreness went away. I feel great and haven’t experienced any swelling. Will most definitely recommend and purchase again if needed."

"I have had a YI for two days and I went to the doctor yesterday about it. They did a test and had it sent to the lab. It’s been 36hrs since my appointment and I still haven’t received the results and it is awful. I’ve been taking the azo yeast infection symptom relief and it’s helped but I’m still itchy. As soon as I inserted this I started to feel the burning. I thought it may just be because it’s fighting the yeast off but wow I’ve never been in so much pain. It’s so much worse than the normal itchy feeling. I looked it up reviews to make sure this wasn’t an allergic reaction or something and all the reviews say the same thing. I feel like fire ants have made a nest in my lady parts :,( I gave it 20 minutes and that was about all I could take before I jumped in the bath with some epsom salt and rinsed it all away. I don’t recommend. I’m not sure if the 20 min was enough to get rid of any yeast but it was enough to light a flame inside of me, we will see tomorrow"

"I have had several YI’s before, have used the 7 and 3 day kits (active ingredient Miconazole) and have taken the Diflocan prescribed by a doctor. All 4 treatments gave some discomfort and itching. The 7 and 3 day kits and prescription took too long and I would itch myself and cause even more discomfort and swelling to myself. I picked up the one day Tioconazole (6.5%) for my most recent YI. The first few hours of application the itching did worsen, However I did not experience any burning. I found reading a book and doing sudoku kept my mind off the itching. Currently on the 2nd day and I only have a slight itch, 75% better than before I took the treatment and barely noticeable compared to the first few hours of treatment. The product does work and while there is some discomfort it beats waiting 3-7 days for relief."

"Not gonna lie after reading all these reviews I was terrified to use the medication. I put it in before bed last night and laid there terrified of what was about to happen but nothing happened. I only noticed a little bit of itching and of course the annoying leakage. Other wise my experience was fine. I would use this again. The ones who said it felt like death must’ve had a bad case of a yeast infection."

"Should of read the comments first. They had it at the local grocery store. Should of went out of my way and gone to the pharmacy. So much itching after I put the stuff in. Then when I woke up the outside of my vagina was swollen and very tender. Don't buy this. Monistat works way better."

"I used this tioconazole 1 day because it was a Sunday and absolutely nothing was open and as soon as I put it in I felt a little relief but after that I was getting mild stomach pain that might have been gas. I felt no burning swelling or excess itching. It stopped the itching the next day until it hit about 9 o’clock pm and a good itch came back but then it started to get bearable by 12am. I’m hoping it doesn’t take 7 days to heal. I would use again if I couldn’t go to the doctor for diflucan."

"I used the generic Monistat 1 (tioconazole), and for the first few hours it was great- no burning and I fell asleep quickly. A few hours later I woke up absolutely dying. It burned so much, and my vulvar lips were so swollen (HUGE!), so red and visibly irritated. I had to use an ice pack to help decrease some of the pain. I left the ointment in because I figured i already suffered this much, I might as well let it do its job. By the time I woke up though, the swelling had gone down considerably, no more burning, and my yeast infection felt 90%better (I'm still using the topical miconazole from a previous package to help with the mild residual itch). So even though it's a few hours of literal torture and you will lose sleep, it did work well"

"After reading the reviews I was TERRIFIED to use the Tioconazole I had just purchased. I normally use Monistat but grabbed the wrong box so went here to look at reviews. I bit the bullet and decided to try it… honestly, it wasn’t bad at all. I had the tiniest amount of burning but it was more like a numbing feel. I did it before bed but ended up staying up for a couple hours after (insomnia) and didn’t feel anything more than the little numbing feel. Please don’t be discouraged by the reviews. Give it a try for yourself, like I said, wasn’t bad at all!"

"NEVER AGAIN. Do not use this stuff. It’s terrible. I had a horrible reaction to it. I woke up with a very sore and swollen vagina. I couldn’t even walk or sit down without it hurting. Plus it didn’t even treat my yeast infection. In fact, my infection is worse. Spend the extra money and get Monistat."

"So I suspected I had a yeast infection I’ve had one before and recognized the symptoms so I decided to use Tioconazole 1 day because I’ve used it before and it was amazing I didn’t get any itching or burning or pain so that’s why I bought it again. For some reason this time after inserting I’m feeling burning and super itchy inside of my who-ha it is a super uncomfortable feeling. In the beginning I was going crazy but now I’m 15-20 mins in a it still really burns and itches but I’m tolerating it. I hope I don’t get swelling or pain like some of the reviews say. I can say this is the first time I experience something like this with product, I have a high pain tolerance so maybe that’s why I’m not feeling it so bad, but it is the main side effects on the box with this product. It’s a hit or miss with the side effects. You can be like me the first time around and it not bother at all or like me now where it’s itching and burning really bad."

"Did experience slight burning for about an hour but after that I was able to get a good night's rest, this is the day after I've taken it and other than the discharge everything is fine. Make sure to wear a pad or panty liner. Very happy with this product, I bought the CVS brand for 1 day."

"Anytime I have to take strong antibiotics I generally get a YI. I usually just do the 3 day treatment and opted to try 1 day just to see. *Sigh* Shortly after insertion, there was intense itching as I tried to go to sleep. The next day I pushed out the remainder of the application, or so I thought. I spent the next day wiping and burning. No bueno. I'll just stick to 3 days."

"I used this cream and let me tell you, WORST DECISION I’VE MADE ! I inserted the applicator and no less than 30 minutes in, it felt like the medication only fuelled the yeast infection. My lady parts was swollen and itching worse than it was before I even used the product. Monistat is waaaaaay better, in my opinion. This product just didn’t do it for me at all. It may affect someone else totally opposite of my experience but I would never use it again."

"I think this medication is great. I know everyone is different, and yes, there is slight itching/burning after you first insert, but to me it means it is working. It is a stronger dose bc it’s a 1 day treatment. It’s quick and easy and works SUPER fast. I’ve used it a few times now and def would use again. It’s not even really messy, although yes, use a liner for day after."

"it works. Everyone saying that it's crazy painful or itchy clearly has a more severe infection than I had. Mine was mild and using this cleared it up within a day, with only a little extra itching after insertion which only lasted a few hours. If you have a really bad YI, just go to a doctor. If it's mild, this will help."

"I get yeast infections very often and can’t spend 17 dollars every time so I got the knock off tioconazole. I inserted it and didn't experience any burning or itching but now I woke up around 5:30 and I can feel my vag is swollen. I know the product works though and I’d rather deal with this for a day then have a week if infection"

"I’m surprised so many people had such negative reviews. Yes, it burned and itched a bit worse when I put it in. But to me that just means it’s working like peroxide on a cut. This morning I woke up and it feels 99% better. I think it takes another day or so to clear completely but this is way better than the old days with the 7 days of slime!"

"I inserted this last night and I woke up with a warm fuzzy feeling and a little bit of an itch. I wanted to read reviews to see if it was effective and I didn't experience the burning sensation. Although the itching is still mildly present. I had originally noticed symptoms about 3 days ago and only inserted it last night. I used the off brand CVS version "Tioconazole Ointment 6.5%" 1 dose"

"I woke up yesterday with pain near the opening of my vagina and my vulva. I had gone to a water park the other day and spent much of the day in damp, tight clothes. I’m prone to UTIs and occasional yeast infections, so I wasn’t surprised. I had a yeast infection once before, about six months ago, that I treated at home. I used Monistat 7 day because reviews said the 1 day burned really bad. The Monistat did clear it up, but it took about 3 days to feel relief, and even the 7 day treatment burned, BAD, and the itching was unbearable. Today, I picked up the CVS brand, and as I’m traveling and didn’t want to go through the same misery I went through with the last yeast infection, I opted for the 1 day treatment. I’m a cheapo so if I find a comparable product for less, with the same active ingredients, I’m going to buy that one. So I bought the CVS brand, came home and inserted the product and no itching no burning."

"I started noticing/questioning symptoms on Sunday, bought medication on Tuesday. Applied before bed, after laying down, with no intention of getting back up. I did not experience any of the misery that the other are posting, but have experienced it with anti-fungal sprays on feet my feet. I can't help but wonder if there is correlation with progression of Infection, perhaps if there is any broken skin or not?? I would absolutely use this medication again without hesitation, even if it were to cause me some discomfort. It is worth it to get my lady bits back in check."

"I wish I had come to this comment session before using it. Applied the cream in my playground around 10 pm and fell asleep, so far so good. Woke up at 4 a.m. to pee and my whole vulva was red, swollen and sensitive to touch, I had never felt anything like it, even wiping her after peeing was painful. The small lips were so swollen that they were hard, stiff (not to mention the size). Now it's 10 am and it still feels horrible, I can barely walk, have to sit with legs spread, peeing is a sacrifice. Seriously, don't buy this."
