"NIGHTMARE. The burning and itching were so bad I had to take a bath at midnight and flush my vagina out. Did fix the issue though, in case that's helpful to anyone else. Having a yeast infection is way better than putting this toxic waste into your vag."

"This stuff is horrible. I was looking for Monistat, but unfortunately; the store had run out. I got this instead, inserted the medication into my vagina and laid down. I woke up in the middle of the night with HORRIBLE itching and burning. I ignored it the best I could and went back to bed after it eased a little. I just woke up and the opening and surrounding area to my vagina is swollen sooooooo bad. I sat up and could literally just feel how swollen it was. I had el hubby check everything out down there. He said it is swollen really bad. The worst part, and I have NEVER had an STD, still don’t as I have only been with the same partner for THREE YEARS.... My vagina literally smells like.... Chemical?? Chemical burn maybe! I’m not sure. It smells like someone dumped a bottle of chemicals into my vagina. It most definitely isn’t any kind of “natural smell”. This smell literally just smells like straight up chemicals! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!"

"DO NOT USE! About 30 seconds after inserting the Tioconzole gel it felt like fire and crazy itching followed by so much painful swelling. I ended up in the bath tub at 4 am begging for relief. Four hours after my bath I'm still in pain, swollen and wondering how I'm going to get through my day when walking is almost impossible! They should not be selling this product!!!!"

"Currently writing this because my vagina literally is DYING. I inserted tioconazole after my shower and immediately looked up why my vagina was horribly itchy. I wished I would have read the reviews. I would not recommend."

"I went in the store looking for the Monistat 7 day treatment because I’ve used it before and liked it. Well this product was the only thing they had so I grabbed it. After inserting it, probably about 10 minutes later I started itching and burning worse than before. I move around to ease the pain for about 15 to 20 minutes before getting on the toilet to get some of it out. After about 30 minutes it was “calming” down some. I slept fine and woke up at about 7:30 with some itching and here it is at 1:00 and I feel fine. I would probably purchase again if I can’t get Monistat 7. Lol"

"So I insterted the CVS brand of the 1 day tioconazole and it BURNS/ITCHES like there’s no tomorrow. Now, I'm laying down on my bed with my legs spread open and it’s giving me some relief, and I’m really hoping this will all be worth it and my YI will be gone."

"So usually the other stuff works better like everyone saying but I saw this Tioconazole 1 Day and it was the cheapest and one day it has 200mg. It didn't come with outside cream so I used some that was in the tube and put it on the outside right when I was going to bed it started burning like I just wiped with a chilli pepper or something. I started to try to get the pain off my mind but it got worst to the point I had to wip it off from the outside when I woke up today Thu, July 30th I went to go to the bathroom once I did it started burning worst and itching so badly I didn't have itching just irritation so I thought it was a yeast maybe it wasnt but it hurts so bad now. I recommend not using cause on package says it cause burning and I know people don't want that while having a yeast. Stay safe and ps if medicine hurts you which it not suppose to don't use it again if you have a sensitive vagina"

"I purchased my Tioconazole 1 day and after inserting the cream I did feel some mild itching and burning but for me it was tolerable. The next day I woke up and the itching had decreased and so had the pain but I did experience some swelling but also tolerable. Although the cream has to be pretty strong since it's a 1 day application the instructions advise to wait at most 7 days for all symptoms to clear so I have 5 more days to hopefully be yeast infection free. Overall I did not experience the extreme negative affects as others and would buy again(if my funds are low and I have yeast infection)."

"I was scared to use this product because of all the bad reviews. However, I showered and then inserted the medicine. I did seem to experience itching that was a tad bit worse than before but it quickly went away. I had minimal burning, it actually just felt like it was getting warm. I felt relief within hours from the itching. It did remain a little sore for a day or too but nothing I couldn’t handle."

"PLEASE DO NOT BUY IF SENSITIVE VAGINA!! I noticed more people liked with positive results it really depends on if you have a sensitive vagina or not I used this product and immediately felt burning. My mom said since you have a YI it’s normal it’s working but no I was having irritation to the product and I didn’t know this because this was my first time using it. Woke up I thought my vagina was tighter but no it was swollen very swollen. I read the results I noticed I’m not the only one. I’m gonna try to wait it out to see if the swelling goes down before I go to the doctor but if your aware that you have a sensitive vagina please do not use"

"I have an yeast Infection and decided to get Tioconazole 1 Day. Instead of the other 3 or 7 day options. And man I'm regretting it. Just a few minutes after using it, I had unbearable burning and itching. It hurt so bad. I tried my best to shower it out and it helped a bit but not a lot. I wish I had read the reviews first. I'm not ever going to purchase again."

"By far one of the worst experiences I ever had. I used this and probably about 45 minutes in I couldn’t take it anymore, it itched so bad!!! I ended up jumping in the shower and doing all I could to wash it out. On the plus side my yeast infection seems to be gone but it felt like absolute torture."

"I'm using this Tioconazole now, having inserted it at 1:50 am (about 12 minutes ago). I do have the increased burning and itching, but I do know it means the medication is working. I'm extremely prone to vaginal yeast infections; we are talking one every month or so. I just started a round of antibiotics on Monday May 11th, and as a preventative measure, my doctor gave me diflucan to take on Monday and then on Thursday to keep the infection away. The way my body is, I don't feel anything and then bam! I'm itching so bad I'm making myself bleed. Unfortunately the diflucan didn't help this time. I'm also extremely allergic to miconozole (monistat), but the pharmacist believes it's an additive and not the actual medication as diflucan (the generic brand being fluconozole) is in the same class of antifungals. Took some sleeping meds so hopefully I'll be much better in the morning. Just gotta get past the itching and burnings, which again, shows that it's doing its job."

"Noticed clumpy discharge and some mild itching so I decided to buy this product - the CVS brand. Minor itching and burning for about an hour after insertion and lots of leakage but no problems other than that! Starting to feel major relief"

"I started to treat with natural methods (inserting garlic and then tried apple cider vinegar drops) and they alleviated the symptoms, but the yeast infection wasn’t going away. I picked up the generic version of montistat one day at target. It was like $11. I was really freaked out by the reviews on but I decided to use it anyway. Great results. No burning or excessive itching like other people reported. The skin on the opening of my vagina was very raw so I was really concerned about the burning but I didn’t get any of that at all. I woke up the next morning and externally I was still itchy so I rubbed the excess gel/cream on it and after a few hours ALL SYMPTOMS WERE ALLEVIATED. I think the trick to avoiding burning is putting the cream in as deep as you can like the instructions say. It’s gonna melt and trickle down anyway. Anyways, I definitely recommended it. I tried it on Wednesday and I am all cleared up."

"So I used this product last night and I experienced some itching and burning but nothing too bad. I woke up this morning and again the burning was there but still not too bad. I have experienced some major swelling on and around the vaginal area. I’m hoping in a few days it will subside and my yeast infection will be gone."

"In past, I did home care (no sugar/low carb, probiotics, eating garlic, etc bc it’s free) but I thought I’d catch this early. 24 hrs in I have mild burning but less itching. Brief sinus headache, went away quickly. After a few hours I was surprised at how sensitive my labia felt. I went to the bathroom and saw my inner labia more swollen than ever! If I’d started having worse-looking discharge/swelling I’d go to urgency. Today is still swollen but no agony, milder yeast symptoms, no discharge. Hope I’m in the clear, will update if it takes a turn. My “new friend” picked this up, I forgot to specify dose. Nothing stronger than 3 in future. I might just try more home care. Even if this works, bc of swelling I won’t be having sex any faster than if I’d starved the yeast out on my own. Sorry to everyone this drug harmed! Idk how long the swelling will take, good luck folks."

"Hey, yeah so....I put this in about 9pm last night before I read all y'all reviews so, kinda got spooked but, I didn't experience any burning, itching , or discomfort. The Gel did melt everywhere outside my vagina which took away any itchiness from my vulva. I recommend sleeping with no panties so you can really air out, just be cautious not to stain anything. It's about 11am & I can tell my YI is completely gone. I am gone to shower & wipe all the melted gel off my outsides & let the rest of medicine still inside me marinate throughout the day."

"I used the cvs brand tioconazole ointment 6.5% for a mild yeast infection. After insertion I read all the horrible reviews and was scared to death at what I was about to go through. However, I experienced no itching and no burning. Of course I had some leakage the next day so I would suggest wearing a panty liner, but other than that this treatment worked great! Definitely will use again if needed."

"I usually use the Monistat 3-day ovules and experience fast, painless relief. One time, when I didn’t feel like doing all that for 3 days straight I tried the Monistat 1-day ovule (micanozole 1200 mg) and OH MY GOD. NO. Swollen, swollen, swollen to the point where I could barely walk. So this time around and after some research I decided to use the other anti fungal, Ticanozole! I was nervous to do the 1-day but I noticed the dosage was mild, which to me meant different ingredients same result with less drama. AMEN. I’ve been feeling a tingling/burning sensation inside my vagina but it’s nothing unbearable. Like on a scale of 1-10 for discomfort, 1. I showered with just hot water before inserting the medicine and I have on panties with a liner. So far it’s been about 2 hours and all is good."

"I usually take regular Monistat (miconazole) 1 day for yeast infections and experience the same symptoms described here (itching, burning, extreme pain) for about 2-3 hours a few hours after inserting the product, and have learned to deal with it as I find this to be the most convenient solution overall for a yeast infection. All my pharmacy had this time was this alternative. I had a moderate yeast infection that I'd been dealing with for about two days when inserting this product. Immediately, I noticed some itching and burning, but it was nowhere near as bad as with the regular Monistat. If you are willing to deal with some discomfort and have had issues with regular Monistat before, I'd recommend this."

"I used the generic Monistat 1 (tioconazole), and for the first few hours it was great- no burning and I fell asleep quickly. A few hours later I woke up absolutely dying. It burned so much, and my vulvar lips were so swollen (HUGE!), so red and visibly irritated. I had to use an ice pack to help decrease some of the pain. I left the ointment in because I figured i already suffered this much, I might as well let it do its job. By the time I woke up though, the swelling had gone down considerably, no more burning, and my yeast infection felt 90%better (I'm still using the topical miconazole from a previous package to help with the mild residual itch). So even though it's a few hours of literal torture and you will lose sleep, it did work well"

"Don't ever use this product I only had for 10 mins inside me the cream make me burn as if I was on fire then itch so much it make me cry. I was in so much pain I couldn't stop moving off the bed with pain I had. I went to the bath to wash it out. I will never, ever use it this again - it burnt me so much I still have some pain and I am using an ice resting there to make it numb. This is not good product. It just makes it worse off. What is it? I still can't believe how bad the pain is. So plz don't buy"

"I had a different experience to others, I used Tioconazole 1 and after 15 minutes it started to burn not to bad but it’s definitely uncomfortable after like and hour the burning starts to go away and you don’t feel your symptoms as much as before. I think it’s a good product for the most part !"
