"I had a very mild case of yeast infection. I usually buy the 7 day but they were out at the store so I purchased the 1 day thinking it will really do the trick because it wasn’t severe. At first it seem as it helped but as time went on it began to itch and burn like crazy so now I’m probably going to purchase the 7 day and start the treatment. I can’t take this."

"Let me preface by saying that I have a generally high pain tolerance. I took the monistat ovule combo pack around 12:45pm and within two hours I felt slight relief. I continued to run errands, etc. there is a slight uncomfortable feeling and it felt like my vagina was slightly swollen but it wasn’t painful. Around 3pm, I decided to go to the gym and that was the WORST decision ever. Once you are active, the monistat begins to burn and itch like anything. I wanted to wipe it out so many times but I fought through it. Throughout the course of the day, I felt very uncomfortable and it only helped when I was sitting down that the pain slightly subsided. Fast forward to the next day in the morning. I have hardly any symptoms and I feel extremely better. This product is not for everyone if you can’t handle some uncomfortable sensations for a while. Personally for me, I would use it again just for the quick convenience"

"I can highly recommend this product to anyone eager for the sensation of shoving a tampon soaked in napalm up your twat, then experiencing an internal nuclear fallout for the next 10-12 hours. Last night I inserted this at around 8. By 8:30, I was squatting in front of the freezer crying. This went on for HOURS. Thank goodness for the women on this thread who posted their experiences. Otherwise I would’ve gone to the ER. Perhaps by ambulance, I can’t know for sure. If you’ve come here to find out if your vagina will survive, the good news is it will. But it’ll take a good 12 hours to stop burning. I’m still tender and swollen this morning. I was only able to sleep last night because I found leftover pain medication from a dental procedure. I will never use this product ever again."

"Had a yeast infection. Used the 3-day product which helped but it was coming back after a few days. Decided to try the 1-day product. Within a few hours I had HORRIBLE itching! The cream didn't help for more than a few minutes. It got progressively worse as the night went on. I am now swollen and raw! My skin is actually bleeding! My entire vulva area is swollen. This is horrible! I read some other reports here that desitin helps so I just went out and got some. I'm praying for some relief. If not better by morning I'll have to go see my doctor. Can I sue the company that made this product? I'm losing time from work because of this!"

"Oh my goodness I just put this in about 20 minutes ago and the itching is so so unbearable it makes me want to scratch my insides out. This is a way worse itch than just caused by my YI. It feels like someone stuck a million fire ants into me and poured honey in."

"I don’t know anything about the egg like the other users. I used Monistat 1 day cream before reading these reviews but it was one vial to insert. Simple, easy, slight itching an hour after but no issues since."

"(1/2) Yall are scaring me! lol. I've never had a yeast infection. I got it after taking an antibiotic for a recent oral surgery. I wanted a quick solution without having to go to the doctor during covid. I inserted the pill about 4 hours ago. I went to run errands and noticed slight burning but nothing crazy. I am typically super sensitive to topicals (I use sensitive soaps, etc.) so I hope this doesn't get worse as the night goes, on - will keep you all updated."

"I’m eighteen and just had my first yeast infection due to an antibiotic. While the YI irritation is... irritating, its NOTHING compared to the torture that you can experience if you use M1. Thirty minutes in, the itching increased. Thinking this was normal, I did an internet search for reviews. By the time I realized my mistake, I was too far gone. I live in a dorm, and the pain was so bad I had toget to the showers. Showering helps, but staying in there forever isn’t an option. I read that an ice pack was helpful. But alas, I don’t have a freezer. And of course there is nothing in the communal fridge. I ending up purchasing old fashioned popsicles and am hoping to help another poor soul make a better decision - with two popsicles wrapped in paper towels between my legs. long story short- love yourself. don’t use this. But if you do, rinse and any form of ice pack you can get your hands on."

"I've used Monista 1 Day multiple times in the past. First time ever using it, yes my vaginal was on fire! I wanted to rip my entire section down there out. But the weird thing about Monista is or it could be the severity of my YI, every experience was different for me. There were times where after use of Monista 1 Day for my YI, my infection quickly turned into BV (on two occasions) and in other times I had just mild burning sensation others no symptoms at all. I think the product is most definitely doing its job when there's severe burning and itching but I absolutely believe it depends on you too and the severity of your YI. If you had one bad experience with it, I highly suggest to get the oral pill prescribed by your doctor instead."

"I took a shower so that I was clean. Inserted the egg and directly after, I used the cream. Walked around my house doing chores and such. Had slight cramping and a "cold" tingle but nothing crazy. I think the cream numbs the pain. I used it every 4 hours and I didn't suffer. Highly recommend using a panty liner as the cream discharges as the egg is dissolved."

"O...M...G... Called my gynnie & she says, "try the monistat & come in Monday". I bought the monistat 1 day ovule, & 2hrs later i'm lying in bed squeezing my legs & vag walls together trying to alleviate the itch! What started out as a mild itch intensified times 10. I wouldn't wish this pain & agony on my WORST ENEMY! Meanwhile my boyfriend is snoring & sleeping in pure bliss. Being a woman really blows sometimes."

"I started showing some signs of a YI on Monday, the 6th grabbed a Monistat 1, as I have done a few times before and thought nothing of it. I ran out to see a friend and came back in I rushed to the bathroom due to a burning sensation and knew something was wrong when all the medication was in my shorts. Went to my PCP on Thursday and she didn’t do an exam, just prescribed an antibiotic. After two more days of complete discomfort, primarily when I urinated it felt like death. I was in tears just about every time I went. Went to the ER where they diagnosed me with Herpes, this couldn’t be true because neither my husband or 1 have been with other people in our 5 year relationship. Got tested all negative results. Never will I use this again!"

"Oh what a relief!!! I treated BV with antibiotics and got a one dose of fluconazole to treat yeast after BV. And that did nothing to me, I was so uncomfortable I inserted monistat 1 during the day! The leakage wasn’t bad, but what a relief I feel 24hrs later. No burning whatsoever. If you have a bad yeast infection this medicine does magic!!"

"I'm currently laying in bed with a bag of corn between my legs praying I can catch my train on time. The burning and itching is so freaking intense I wish I could take my vag off and wash it in my sink. My YI was pretty mild, but I couldn't get the ovule very far up my vagina. This burning itch is so much worse than my initial infection. Hopefully it goes away soon."

"So I noticed after taking antibiotics I had started itching down there. Decided to use the Equate brand vaginal insert thing. I was driving down the road and literally felt like I was starting to push a 15lb baby that was on fire out my vagina. Needless to say it was all I could do to get back home & shower. Everything is super red/purple & hurts 10,000 times worse than before using the product. Never again!!"

"I am begging you to NOT use this Monistat product. After inserting monistat 1, a burning and terrible itchy sensation started. I have been in and out of the shower 3 times within the past half hour with the shower nozzle on full blast. I literally feel like somebody put poison ivy up there. I am so desperate, I tried taking the thing out, but unfortunately, it must have dissolved right away. Do yourself a favor and do not take this. All I want to do is sleep and thanks to this hideous product, I'm in agony.....happy mother's day to me....NOT"

"Well, I wish I had read reviews before using monistat. A nightmare. Why is this even on the market? Seems to be a torture device. And it cost a lot of money, to boot! Do not ever use this product. Will never, ever use again. If I had had any choice and the drug store had had Canestin, that would have been the choice. Damn."

"Let’s paint you a picture: You are peacefully in a deep slumber drifting in a forest with beams of sunlight peeking through kissing your skin. Suddenly at 345am you are awakened by what could only be Zeus & Hades fighting in your womb. Thunder bolts & hellfire ripping your uterus & labia to shreds. You are reminded that you inserted an egg of death lined with ghost pepper powder into your Lady bit prior to drifting off into paradise. All you can do is cup your poor Lady part & pray that the nuclear warfare ceases. 20mins pass by, now you’re worried that maybe this is an adverse reaction so you do what any sane person does, research for reviews: only to find that there is a tribe of women that also had their vaginas doused in the nectar of 852 demons wrung out into one cup. Eventually, I fell back asleep, only to wake with an immense fear of unclenching my biscuit & molten wasp venom seeping out. All I’m saying is, call your dr and get the tiny magic pill instead."

"Inserted the 1-day monistat ovule at 11:30, and I woke up at 2am with tears because of the burning. The reviews on here stopped me from going to the emergency room but I haven’t found anything to stop the burning and itching. Would absolutely not recommend, regardless of how well it clears the infection."

"Well damn I wish I would have read this before. Someone mentioned birthing fire and I would have to agree. I feel like I took the Walmart version before and I never experienced this. I remember a friend of mine taking Monistat and it burning really bad for her but I thought oh I’ll be fine.. boy was I wrong. About 10 minutes after inserting the egg I was burning and itching. I made the mistake of getting up and I felt like I was punched in the vag with a white hot branding iron. I took a shower immediately. Luckily I have a detachable shower head and I tried hard to clear it all out. I know it’s not completely gone because it still burns but it doesn’t itch and it’s nothing like it was before. I also took a vagisil anti-itch wipe and doused it with Witch Hazel and it’s currently resting on my bits. I also have an ice pack and took a pain pill. I’m praying it’ll be better tomorrow. I'm just wondering if anyone knows why it does this."

"For all that is Holy my YI has never hurt me as much as this Jalapeño whoha has. It feels like my vagina has bred the new hottest pepper in the world! Why did I do it?! I was desperately searching for a fast fix to get rid of this YI, without waiting for a prescription to be sent over in 48 hrs. Had I known I was prepping to house Satan’s love child in my ever so Angelic lady bits, I would have said no way! This “mild itching and burning” is ripping through my vaginal opening and raging and roaring through my vaginal canal faster than any wildfire I’ve ever seen! It’s even coming after my bootyhole! How are you come after that too?! After caving and taking a wipe to clean/scratch myself real good down there, I currently have my Clobetasol steroid ointment helping me tame this beast of a flame that was once known as my precious. Once this is over, you girl is going to be left with the worst PTSD from just hearing the name of he who must not be named."
