For use in feeds for swine, beef cattle and calves, turkeys, and lambs.

Active Ingredient

Oxytetracycline Dihydrate, equivalent to oxytetracycline hydrochloride, 110 g/kg

Directions For Use

To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently and for the shortest duration required to achieve the desired clinical outcome.

Swine

Bacterial Enteritis (scours)

As an aid in the prevention of bacterial enteritis.

As an aid in the treatment of bacterial enteritis.

Feed as the sole ration following the appearance of clinical signs and until 3 days after clinical signs disappear - for pigs up to 6 weeks of age.

Leptospirosis

As an aid in reducing the incidence of abortion caused by leptospirosis.

When abortion in swine has been diagnosed as due to leptospirosis, feed at once as the sole ration to pregnant and affected sows for a two-week period.

Beef Cattle

Bloat

As an aid in reducing the incidence of bloat in young cattle on pasture or in feedlots.

Feed continuously. Level of oxytetracycline hydrochloride in the complete feed is to be such that each animal will receive 75 mg per day. 55 g of oxytetracycline hydrochloride (0.50 kg of Terramycin®-50) per 1000 kg of complete feed when fed at the rate of 1.36 kg per head per day meets the 75 mg level stated above.

Calves

Bacterial enteritis (scours)

As an aid in the prevention of bacterial enteritis.

Turkeys

Infectious sinusitis

As an aid in the prevention of infectious sinusitis in turkeys.

Terramycin-50 Premix Cautions

This medicated premix must be thoroughly mixed in complete feeds. Do not feed undiluted.

Warnings

Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 7 days for swine and turkeys, 5 days for cattle and calves, and 4 days for lambs after the latest treatment with this drug.

Do not administer to lactating dairy cattle.

When handling the product, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes.

Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Keep from freezing.

Keep bag closed when not in use.
