Serious side effects are not expected to occur during treatment with this medication.

Commonly, some eye burning, stinging, irritation, itching, redness, blurred vision, eyelid itching, eyelid swelling, or sensitivity to light may occur.

Ocular

Ocular side effects have included burning and irritation upon administration, nonspecific conjunctivitis, conjunctival hyperemia, and conjunctival epithelial defects.

Hematologic

Hematologic side effects have rarely included thrombocytopenic purpura.

Psychiatric

Psychiatric side effects have rarely included hallucinations.

Hypersensitivity

Hypersensitivity reactions have been reported.

Other

Other side effects have included the development of fungal and bacterial corneal ulcers during therapy.
