Side Effects of Eryderm - for the Consumer

Eryderm Solution

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Eryderm Solution:

Burning; dryness; mild stinging; peeling.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Eryderm Solution:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody stools; itching, burning, tenderness, or redness of skin; severe diarrhea; stomach cramps/pain.

Side Effects by Body System

Local

Local side effects are the most commonly reported adverse effects of topical erythromycin, and have included dryness, burning, tenderness, pruritus, desquamation, erythema, and oiliness. A single case of generalized urticarial reaction has been reported.

Ocular

Ocular side effects have included eye irritation.
