Bromocriptine is used in the treatment of hyperprolactinemia; diabetes, type 2; parkinson's disease; acromegaly; tardive dyskinesia and belongs to the drug classes dopaminergic antiparkinsonism agents, prolactin inhibitors. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy. Bromocriptine 2.5 mg is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
