Bromocriptine is used in the treatment of hyperprolactinemia; diabetes, type 2; parkinson's disease; acromegaly; tardive dyskinesia and belongs to the drug classes dopaminergic antiparkinsonism agents, prolactin inhibitors. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy.
Bromocriptine 2.5 mg is not subject to the Controlled Substances Act.
