Default No insurance No $$ need RX for BV & other

Ok, so I recently got laid off (mtg industry go figure) so I have no $$ and now no insurance either.
I think I have a bacterial vaginal infection- had them before, it's not a yeast infection- had those too I know the difference. I called my regular dr. who won't give me an RX for the antibiotics without seeing me but the appts are "anywhere from $125 and up plus any testing costs" which I clearly don't have. Plus then I would still have to pay for the actual rx. I called the local planned parenthood and they apparently don't receive state funding anymore so there isn't a sliding scale and it's basically the same $$ as going to my regular dr. I called the county health office and they only do std (which bv is considered even though it's not necc. an std) 2 days out of the entire month and only from 1pm-2pm on those 2 days. Aside from that being freaking ridiculious, I can't wait until the 4th thursday of the month to take care of this. I don't know what else to do.
Has anyone ever ordered from these online places without a prescription? do you have any recommendations of who to use? I don't want to get fake meds or get ripped off.
I also take Adderal XR (for my ADD) and allegra and birth control (which apparently now costs $26 a month w/out insurance- wtf?!) So if anyone has any ideas or has tried any of those companies I would really appreciate any information/advice good or bad please....

Tough spot, sorry, besides moving to Canada have you tried Social Services? If you were an illegal, all you would have to do is go the the ER. I wish I had a better answer for you. I guess you don't have the money to self pay your Ins through COBRA. IDK, sorry mspink.
Oh wait, someone posted here before saying to put plain yogurt down there, that it's a cure (can't hurt to try).

Thanks for the response. My cobra was $356 a month just for the premium--which seems to defeat the purpose of cobra being a supplement for people who have been laid off but the longer I'm unemployed the more I find out that there really isn't anything out there to help me.
I did call social services and they got me an appt with a therapist really quickly (and it went great-she was actually better than my regular ADD doctor). But the therapist can't prescribe RX so I have to wait for an appt with the psychiatrist. My appt with the therapist was Sept. 10th and the first appt available for the psych is Oct 26th. And I actually got a letter from the county yesterday saying that there is a shortage of therapists so they don't know when they will even be able to get me in to see her again.
Every other place I've called basically will only offer either medical or financial help if you have small children or elderly living with you or if you are an addict or alcoholic.
Apparently, for people like me who have been working 2 jobs since I graduated from high school just to make ends meet, who have a college education but can't find a job, who have paid into their insurance but can't afford to pay out of pocket for health insurance (I did that before and it was $375 per month & ended up not covering all of my appts so it was a total waste) then there is just no help.
I'd be better off letting them foreclose on my house, being homeless, quitting my 2nd part-time job and then maybe there would be some help available to me. For everyone out there who thinks that federally funded health care is not a good idea then I want them to look at the people it really hurts. The people who think that only illegals or addicts or welfare crazy people are the ones it would benefit and they don't want their money going to pay for other peoples medical bills are complete morons. Just like you said- those people will just go to the ER anyway and ditch the medical bills --it's regular people like me who are being penalized by not having federally funded health care.
Having a BV is bad enough I can't imagine what I would do if I fell down the stairs and sprained my ankle or broke my arm...I'd have to go to the ER then get hit with thousands of $$ in medical bills and have my house foreclosed on because of that.
Sorry for the rant there I am just soooo frustrated by all this. As if getting laid off wasn't a slap in the face enough and now this....

As for the yogurt- it's not a yeast infection so I don't think that will work but I have been eating more yogurt just in case and drinking a lot of water.

Like I said thanks for the post- sorry for the ranting....
