Default Paracetamol Tablets

Recently i had fever due to tonsillitis. My doctor priscribed dolo 650 (paracetamol 650mg). This did not have any effect on my fever. It did not bring the body temperature down. Earlier I was prescribed by another doctor sumo (nimesulide 100mg paracetamol 500mg) tablets whenever I had fever due to tonsillitis. I swithced back from dolo 650 to sumo, where I found relief from my fever. Why does this happen. Why did not I repsond to dolo 650 even when the paracetamol content was higher than in sumo ?

Nimesulide has a tendency to raise serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase and serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase levels as compared to its baseline values. There was a study on this specific question here:
