[Posted 03/11/2008] FDA reminded glucose meter users to only use strips recommended for their specific brand of meter and to read the instructions for use carefully. It is important for users to understand that if they use a test strip that is not recommended for their meter, the device may fail to give results or may generate inaccurate results.
