Drug Interactions between itraconazole and Prevpac
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- itraconazole
- Prevpac (amoxicillin/clarithromycin/lansoprazole)
Interactions between your drugs
clarithromycin itraconazole
Applies to: Prevpac (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / lansoprazole) and itraconazole
Using itraconazole together with clarithromycin may increase the effects of itraconazole. Contact your doctor if you experience dizziness, ringing in the ears, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
clarithromycin lansoprazole
Applies to: Prevpac (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / lansoprazole) and Prevpac (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / lansoprazole)
Clarithromycin may increase the blood levels and side effects of lansoprazole in some people. Contact your doctor if you experience diarrhea or other intestinal problems. You may need a dose adjustment if you take both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
itraconazole lansoprazole
Applies to: itraconazole and Prevpac (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / lansoprazole)
Talk to your doctor before using itraconazole together with lansoprazole. By reducing stomach acid, lansoprazole can decrease the absorption and blood levels of itraconazole and make the medication less effective against fungal infections. Your doctor or pharmacist may be able to offer suggestions on safer alternatives if you require treatment for stomach acid or ulcer while you are being treated with itraconazole. However, if your doctor does prescribe these medications together, taking itraconazole with an acidic beverage such as a cola may help. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
amoxicillin clarithromycin
Applies to: Prevpac (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / lansoprazole) and Prevpac (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / lansoprazole)
Information for this minor interaction is available on the professional version.
Drug and food interactions
itraconazole food

clarithromycin food
Applies to: Prevpac (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / lansoprazole)
Information for this minor interaction is available on the professional version.
